Menu was extremely limited. GF was hard to determine though chef was amenable. Non alcoholic cocktail very good. Our steaks were well cooked with a nice char but the ambiance was just OK. Pricey for the value.

This was our third trip to the Refinery at Jax Beach and it will be our last. 20 minutes until someone approached our table to ask if we would like a drink and if we would like to order starters. We did. When they arrived we ordered dinner entrees. An hour and five minutes later our food was served. And, only after I asked the waitress where our food was. Clearly, the food had been sitting around for a while unattended in the kitchen. Both my grandsons had grilled cheese sandiches. They were cold and hard. I had short rib which was swimming in grease. I don't know how you can screw up a short rib but they managed to do it. The wait staff was well aware how poor the service was yet not one of them approached our table to apologize. I would strongly recommend you remove this restaurant from your plans and instead substitute another, say, So-Napa, also on A1A. The food and service quality at Refinery do not support the high prices they charge.

We loved the view, however, the hostess could have been a little more professional and welcoming. When we were finally seated, we had to cancel because we were limited to just a breakfast buffet and my understanding was that we could order from the menu since it was elegant dining. Our waiter confirmed that we cancelled due to the limitations of what we could eat. I would come back, however, for drinks. Nice ocean views but limited parking space.

We got there 1230. Was told right away there wasn’t any bacon left. The quality of food was worse than Dennys. When we went up to the Buffett serving utensils were missing. None of the food was labeled. Very little food left on the Buffett. Butter was gone. Just terrible. We went here to celebrate Father’s Day. Paid $30 per person. Really unacceptable not right.

Great location and atmosphere. Appetizers were good, however the steak was too tough and dry. My wife had the Sea Bass and was disappointed in the small size vs the high price. The desert and drinks were awesome. Probably would go back for drinks and apps only.

Food , service and ambience is great. Ocean views make venue very special. Nice wine list and entrees choices are terrific. We will return again and again.

Hoped this new name meant new management, chefs, etc. Still the same subpar food at "fine dining" prices. Nice view but the food is on level with cruiseline cuisine.

This is our third time visiting this restaurant and it’s amazing as the other times ! Delicious food and amazing views ! The service was great even tough they had a full house. It’s becoming one of our favorites in Jax.

Location is wonderful, right on the beach with lovely huge windows overlooking the surf. That and the staff/service were the best part of the experience, everything went downhill from there. Staff were great. Grimy floors and surfaces. Needed a good deep clean and then continued maintenance of the cleanliness. We went there because it was a seafood restaurant. We went for brunch, yet they had NO seafood for the brunch menu (with exception of small shrimp to put in omelettes). So a huge disappointment there. There was no opportunity to order off a menu either, buffet only. For a seafood restaurant, there should definitely be several options that have seafood - crab benedict, salmon, potato, sour cream & dill omelette, shrimp cocktail, etc. I don’t believe this brunch will be successful. There was hardly anybody there when we were there, and I can definitely see why. The roast pork they had for carving was dry as a bone, really overdone. Food in the chafing dishes was lukewarm. My $14 cappuccino cocktail was so weak, I could barely taste the alcohol Turnoff at the omelette station, where all the 4 oz dishes that we’re supposed to have your options for your omelette or empty with only crumbs of each vegetable or meat left one hour before closing. I asked if it was possible to have the ingredients in an omelette. The omelette maker stated that they didn’t refill them to prevent wasting food and throwing food away if nobody wanted an omelette in the last hour. Well, there were five of us in line at that time. That didn’t seem like that was going to be a problem. Why not just have a list with the options and have the stuff in containers in a cooler or something? There’s gotta be another option other than having all very unappetizing empty containers with a few crumbs in them at the omelette table. I could go on with other complaints, but you get the idea. We will not be back.
