Reel Fish Coastal Kitchen & Bar
The restaurant’s daily blackboard specials and core recipes feature creative takes on fresh-caught fish not typically found on many inland-Florida seafood restaurant menus, including tile fish, trigger fish, sheepshead, hogfish and other local species. The Reel Fish menu includes signature classics like fried seafood platters, shrimp & creamy cheese grits, whole fried market fish, such as yellow tail snapper, and Low Country Boils featuring shrimp, bay scallops and crab legs.
Central to the restaurant will be a raw bar serving oysters on the half shell, broiled and steamed, as well as ceviche and peel & eat fresh Florida shrimp.

Always a terrific experience and a very good value for the price. Highly recommended...we eat there regularly and have never had a bad (or even moderately bad) experience.
Aubrey was a great server! She was very helpful with recommendations
Varied menu, surprising twists to old favorites. Knowledgeable and watchful staff.
My current favorite local seafood restaurant. While it's in a trendy area, the foodies have yet to find it. They can have their chi-chi brunch-type places (Reel Fish serves brunch, too). Everything I've ever ordered here has been delicious, and you can't beat their 2 for 1 brunch happy hour. Highly recommended for an authentic, laid-back seafood experience.
Ate on a Friday night. Service was slow, food was slow to come out and was just OK. Seemed to be some minor conflict among the servers, and others were sitting at a booth talking to friends who came in. Overall, we were underwhelmed.
Always excellent!!! The food is exceptional!!! An incredible find!!!
The food was amazing. The fish was fresh And the sides healthy and creative.
It was a busy night, and even though I received water quickly after seating, the waiter didn’t come back to the table for about 15 min. After that everything moved at a great pace.
We live in WP and this was our first visit to Reel Fish. We have been wanting to try it for a while and decided to go for the Magical Dining experience. Most of the food and the service were average at best. The Seafood bake was bland and soggy and the Crab cakes were more bread than crab. The Hanger steak and the Carrot cake were the best items on the menu. Our server was not as attentive as they could have been and had no personality whatsoever. There was nothing special about this restaurant and we probably will not return.
Tried Reel Fish since it was part of the Magical Dining month and hadn't really heard much about it. Was pleasantly surprised to see it was in the old Ravenous Pig building and hoped the food was going to be just as good, and IT WAS! Great meal with ample portions served by a very friendly and attentive staff. Everything from start to finish including cocktails and desserts made for a great experience. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other interesting items on the menu!
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! HOWEVER I CAN NOT GO VERY OFTEN DUE TO THE COST. SERIOUSLY COST MORE THAN I SHOULD SPEND, BUT IT'S WORTH IT!!! LOVE THE SERVICE TOO, AS SOMEONE HOW WORKS IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT I HOLD OTHERS TO MY STANDARD. YOU ALL ROCK
Another great experience.. good food .. good service .. everything you want in a night out
The entire meal was wonderful. However, the crab cake appetizer and the bread pudding dessert more than hit the mark! Highly recommended.
Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good seafood
My first time and will not be my last, excellent service.
Service was amazing
the owner was gracious and kind when it came to making right what had gone wrong. Everybody has an off day.
However the food lacked any seasoning.
The food was above average but the portions we small and over priced for what you get. It was good for a change of atmosphere, a cut above a sports bar. I can't see myself going there on a weekly basis but once in a while wood be ok.
Staff seemed disinterested. Food was ok not as good as last time I was there.
The food here is delicious. It’s coastally decorated and cozy. It is loud but not loud enough that you couldn’t hear the person at your table. However, the hostess was rather rude to my date and I. When we asked for our waitress to come to our table, she did not arrive until it was time to bring the check.
shrimp salad is to die for!!! Scallops and grouper just as outstanding :)
Great Florida-type seafood restaurant! Great food, fabulous service (our waitress was very informative regarding food service and what is available weekly ! Very personable as was all the wait-staff and managers! A definite return date is in our future!!!
Our first time to Reel was an experience. We loved it very much. Cudo's to our server, Cory. We will be back.
I really enjoyed dining at this location and will definitely return again. The food was incredible and the service was exceptional.
I would give 3.5 stars . My wife and I went there for the first time during the Visit Orlando Magical Dining period.
We had a 7:30 reservation; we arrived at 7:29 (were actually there several minutes earlier, but the parking was atrocious; we had to park 1 1/2 blocks away). I told the greeter that we had a 7:30 reservation. She said, "Well, it's going to be later than 7:30 before we can seat you. You can wait outside and we'll notify you". We were seated at 7:50.
We waited outside. There were chairs outside without tables, and some with. Those without were full, so my wife sat in one with a table. We figure that if someone came to be seated, we would move, no problem, but, there were multiple outside tables vacant. The same greeter approached us and said, "I'm going to have to ask you to move", in a rather snarky manner. I didn't at all mind moving if they needed the table; it just tweaked me wrong, the way she said it. Not rude (I'm not some sensitive snowflake), just could've been said better.
Once seated, our server, Jeff, greeted us. He was polite, attentive, and explained the menu options well. He recommended dishes for us, which we ordered. He checked back on us several times and refilled our glasses.
The appetizer (fried calamari and mussels) arrived about 20 minutes later. The food tasted very good and had nice-sized portions.
The entrees (Salmon and Seafood Bake) were very good. The portions were just right. Their iced tea was even good (had to ask for a straw, and the paper straws disintegrated on me).
We were sitting next to a table of rather loud guys who spoke at, seemingly, the top of their lungs (particularly one guy). That made the atmosphere not as intimate as I would have preferred; not terrible, just not great.
The price was great considering the Magical Dining menu. Actually, I thought the prices on the regular menu looked pretty good, too.
Overall, I am glad we went. No major problems, and the food was very good.
Everything we ate was great. Good portion sizes, cheerful, helpful staff, attentive management who came to ask how our meal was
Very disappointed with food. Carrot cake was best part of meal
Food took forever to come out and it really wasn’t worth waiting for. I had crab cakes to start and it was all filler and mushy. If you are going to offer a crab cake, put some crab in it. Husband had calamari; very chewy. Husbands entree was mutton snapper. Neither of us had had it before so we don’t know if they prepared it poorly or if it was a bad piece of fish. The crab hash they served with it was outstanding and the collard greens were the best I’ve ever tried. I had the seafood skillet, seafood in a tomato sauce. It was fine. Nothing outstanding. Loved the atmosphere and the drink list looked great, although we didn’t have any. Waiter never refilled drinks and didn’t notice that we didn’t touch appetizers.
We were ignored for first 20 minutes after being seated but once noticed the service was on point. Food was really good, portions were fine, except for dessert, we were given a sliver of key lime pie.
The food was great but the service was really slow. There were huge gaps between courses.
The food was delicious. We came for magical dining but the daily prices were also reasonable. The portion sizes were just right for magical dining and the regular menu. Our waitress was excellent. We’ll return.
Great food and our server was amazing! It was our first time and she went through the whole menu and gave some great suggestions.
The first time we ate here was for my husband’s birthday party and our entire group of 12 people had a wonderful experience. A year and a half later we went again for a special occasion and like most good restaurants the quality control and freshness factor went way downhill .
Food was very salty for my taste.
While the food was excellent, it took over an hour for our food to come to the table. We looked around and no one else had food on their tables either so there was a glitch in the kitchen that neither our waitress or the manager even acknowledged. We’re willing to give it one more try.
Overall was good dining experience. Shrimp po'boy stuffed with fresh fried shrimp. French fries were not worthy of a venue such as this.(Mc'ds)? The pecan crusted trout was excellent with the compliment of the sides. Thx
We've tried Reel Fish Coastal three times over the last year, each time hoping to come away having had a better experience. In a city with an ever-increasing bar of excellence for restaurants, Reel Fish is falling short. On our last visit, the service was initially prompt, but oddly enough as the restaurant emptied out, the service fell behind and desserts took an inexplicably long time to reach the table. We ordered the ceviche of the day, red snapper, which had an odd, gooey texture -- not light and fresh, as you would expect. Entrees were o.k., but not memorable, and the transition between courses a little haphazard. We were told to keep our flatware between courses, giving the evening more of a chain restaurant feel. We went there because we had a large group and could get in, I don't think even that would compel us to dine there again in the future.
Service was good, food was not bad, just a little over salty
As a New Englander, I am very picky about my seafood...Reel Fish has never let me down! Delicious fish, perfectly prepared, and presented!
Magic Dining menu was fabulous. I’ve been to Reel Fish Coastal Kitchen numerous times and the food is always fantastic. However on this visit the service was not up to standards. Water was not refilled, and the wait for food was long. The restaurant was not busy for a Thursday evening. We were not given reasons for long wait times between appetizers and entree. Nor we told that there was an additional charge for more bread to eat with the PEI mussel appetizer. But as previously stated the food is outstanding.
5 months ago we were looking for somewhere new and different to have my birthday dinner and ended up here. There were 15 of us that night and since, it has become a favorite for all of us. Fantastic fresh seafood, awesome craft cocktails and always spectacular service. If you have never been, you are missing out on something special!!
