Second time visiting, the food is excellent. Love that it’s local catches and the blackboard menu options don’t disappoint.
Our meals took way too long to come out. The kids meals came out first which was good, but at least 30 minutes before the rest, so there was still plenty of time for cranky kids. Then, all of the meals except for one came out, and the last about 15 minutes later. Service overall wasn’t great, but the manager made it right by comping the really late meal, and giving us three free desserts. Food was good, but I wouldn’t necessarily rush back.
I celebrated Father’s Day with my husband and kids. We enjoyed several brunch entrees as well as 2 of the specials. The lobster and seafood steamer platter was delicious and easily served two people! My personal favorite is their ceviche. It’s always fresh and marinated to perfection. The bogo drinks are a nice addition to your meal. For dessert we all did ski shooters, which was a fun way to finish off our meal. The server was very attentive and engaging. All servers were wearing face masks and the restaurant was implementing the required social distancing measures. We all felt comfortable and would not hesitate to dine here again!
The fresh local catch selections were very tasty - both the grilled and blackened options. The chicken and waffle plate is huge and very good. Nice texture and taste to the cheese grits as a side dish and as part of the shrimp and cheesy grits plate.
Everything was great, we really enjoyed taking our time and tasting so many different things. After a long time in quarantine it was nice to get out and enjoy cocktails and a meal just for the sake of dining, no hurry no agenda. We started with Oysters Rockefeller, it has been decades since I've had them and these were wonderful! The Shrimp corn chowder is excellent. The Cornbread is very unique. My husband's Pecan Crusted Rainbow Trout was excellent the accompanying green beans delicious.
My fried scallops were great, the fried clams, and french fries, meh, just ok. The Coconut cake was a disappointment, just because it wasn't a moist layer cake like I expected. It was a very dry cake with a huge plop (like a cup sized plop) of whipped cream and coconut on top, but since there was no description, and I assumed it was coconut cake as I am accustomed, and I really dislike whipped cream, it disappointed. They quickly offered a substitution when noticed I wasn't eating it. The Carrot cake was enough for 3 servings, moist and delicious not like traditional carrot cake but delicious. My husband had key lime pie, he said it was OK. A great selection of cocktails and a great selection of beer added to our enjoyment. We look forward to another visit.
Everything was spectacular !
I am the pastor of St. John Lutheran Church just down the street from Reel Fish and enjoy coming here for brunch after worship I have brought my bishop before and this time we brought our guest preacher and her husband for lunch and it was another home run in food and service. That's why we keep coming back and recommending RFCK.
Horrible service. We waited 45 minutes even though we had a reservation and then it took another 20 minutes for someone to come to our table. We will not be going back there!
We go to Reel Fish every chance we get. We love the food, the service and the ambience!
Service was not great and extremely slow. They had offers on oysters and margaritas yet we only got the oysters discounted. Food wasn’t bad but also wasn’t amazing. A big red flag for me is if a restaurant reads the open table comments. We were there to celebrate our anniversary, put those comments in our reservation and not one person acknowledged it. I think the food and the overall experience could have been a lot better for the price point.
Service was very slow
Ordered the lobster special which was a 1.5 lb Maine lobster, loaded baked potato, and slaw. The lobster was some of the sweetest claw meat I've ever had! We ordered crab cakes as an app as my fiance was told his baked fish would take 50 minutes. Crab cakes were great, finished them and about 10 minutes later another round of crab cakes were brought to us. We explained we had already eaten ours, they left us with the new crab cakes anyways. That was a totally unexpected bonus! My fiance said the snapper he'd ordered didn't have that much flavor, I'm not a fish fan, so I didn't try it. The waitress was new and wore a mask, however it was resting on her chin the entire time. At no point was her mask covering her mouth nor nose. She was very sweet, but with all this Coronavirus going around, we were rather uncomfortable with her proximity to us and our food with her moth and nose uncovered. All and all it was a good experience. Had she had her mask on, I'd have rated them a 5.
Great seafood. Good variety. Lots of non-seafood option, great steaks, pasta etc. Fresh oyster bar is amazing. Pleasant surprise is dessert. Homemade family recipes to die for. Indoor/outdoor options.
We love coming here and the food is always great, the servers excellent. Fred does a great job and its good to see the dining room open again.
Great food, atmosphere and service. Went for lunch and enjoyed it very much
The food is always great no matter what you order. Simone, is a awesome server!
As always, excellent seafood at a reasonable price. Fred, the owner, is right on top of everything ensuring that you have a great dining experience.
This has been one of our favorite local restaurants. We were so excited to get to dine in again. Unfortunately they are not taking the pandemic guidelines seriously. They have communal salt and pepper grinders, and other items on the table that are not sanitized between guests. The paper menus are used over and over again and are not disposed of after a guest has used them, which is the practice in other restaurants we've been to. Some of the staff, including the owner, were often wearing their masks underneath their nose. I didn't get a vibe of extra sanitation or respect for the virus so I'm not going to go back for awhile.
I still recommend because the food is always delicious however I'd wait awhile.
Great service.
The raw and baked oysters were delicious. Best I’ve had in Orlando. But the service was slow.
Great food and very attentive service. Despite the social distancing and unfamiliar conditions, we had a wonderful meal.
It was so good to be able to get back to Reel Fish! Our food was delicious and the service was great, as usual. We are customers forever!
Food was great, the owner was very friendly. With all that is going on now, it was good to get out to eat and still get exceptional service regardless of all the changes.
Everything was delicious and I’ll be happy to bring people back. We were in the mood for seafood and I loved the concept. The fried green tomatoes were cut a little thick for my liking but still very good. LOVED the grilled octopus. The portions were generous but I wouldn’t recommend sharing. Our service was fantastic. She was knowledgeable and gave us enough attention without crowding. I didn’t catch her name but I would ask for her again.
Excellent dinner for our first night out in 2 months!
We love this place. Amazing seafood every single time!!!!
Great staff, great food, awesome experience! The decor is very nautical and appealing
With a name like Reel Fish in Florida, we went in expecting, well...numerous choices of fresh Florida fish such as grouper, snapper, yellow tail, flounder etc. But it wasn't there. I asked if they had any of those, but they said no, we have cod; a fish that had to come from the North Atlantic. There was plenty of crab, scallop, and shrimp choices, but the Florida fish was absent. The food we ordered was ok, but nothing special. Next time we go to a fish restaurant, we will more carefully check to see if they actually have any.
Great food and service!
Great seafood and southern fare. Everything is delicious!
Excellent experience. Great back ground music and the staff was wonderful.
EXCELLENT! Everything was extra delicious and service was outstanding!
I was thrilled they were open and as always the dining experience was devine
Amazing food!
Everyone was friendly and welcoming from the time we walked i. The door. Had the happy hour peel and eat shrimp - very good and fresh- and the swordfish over sweet potatoes which was the special- excellent! Enjoyed our evening enough that we will be returning in a few days
Our server, Maddie went above and beyond the call of duty.
The food was very good. The service was prompt and friendly.
Amazing service from Bethel...we were in a rush and she hustles the good to our take in time! The fish was just delicious...maybe one of the best fish sandwiches we have ever had. Great beer selection. Shrimp and grits were great and seafood chowder was just loaded with seafood. Will become a repeat stop!!
Food was delicious. Restaurant was full and loud.
We went with a group of 8 people. Service was great. Very friendly and helpful. Very nice atmosphere. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food although one person said the chicken, grits and collards were too salty for their taste.. The broiled seafood platter with tomatoes and okra was very good. Will definitely go back again.
