Reel Fish Coastal Kitchen & Bar
The restaurant’s daily blackboard specials and core recipes feature creative takes on fresh-caught fish not typically found on many inland-Florida seafood restaurant menus, including tile fish, trigger fish, sheepshead, hogfish and other local species. The Reel Fish menu includes signature classics like fried seafood platters, shrimp & creamy cheese grits, whole fried market fish, such as yellow tail snapper, and Low Country Boils featuring shrimp, PEI mussels, scallops and snow crab legs.
Central to the restaurant is a raw bar serving oysters on the half shell, broiled, steamed and Rockefeller, as well as ceviche and peel & eat wild-caught Florida shrimp.
Broiled Seafood Platter
Atlantic cod, Florida shrimp, scallops, garlic lemon butter, parsley potatoes, smothered tomatoes & okra
Everything was excellent. The noise level a bit high but everyone was having fun.
Great seafood in a casual but elegant atmosphere. Comfortable restaurant but the decor made it feel special. The food was all fresh and delicious, and well priced for seafood. Our entire table loved their food and had a great birthday dinner experience!
Fantastic food and service. Had the shrimp & grits and fried combo (shrimp, oysters & fish). Both were excellent. Nice bar area to eat at as well. One of the best seafood restaurants around.
Enjoyed our dinner! We ordered off the Bite30 menu which had a nice selection. Everything was delicious and I tried the Lightning Bug drink for the first time. Service was great. The power went out for a little bit but the restaurant responded with candles on the tables and updating guests that there would be a delay in getting our checks to us. Totally out of their control but appreciated the prompt attention to the situation. I look forward to coming back soon. May eat there on the early side as it did get really loud in the restaurant as people started arriving for the dinner rush.
Great friendly service, food came out promptly and all orders were executed perfectly. Food tasted great and it was a great value for the Bite 30.
Wonderful meal, as always! Hadn't been for a Covid-while, but nice menu, Bite30 too, and wine/beer/drink menu . Had the grilled seafood platter (shrimp, scallops, fish) with roasted potatoes and nice tomato & okra side dish. Nice local beer was a pleasant surprise. Dessert (we all shared one!) was a totally decadent bread pudding! Good service (even assistance to ensure my points discount was applied to our check). A tad noisy, but WAS Saturday night!
The wait to be seated was longer than expected having made a reservation, but the experience was worth the wait! Our amazing server was Simone! She was friendly, knowledgeable and committed to us having an amazing experience. She succeeded! We will be back.
The service and food were fantastic. Would highly recommend.
The happy hour specials were great. The fried green tomatoes with dill goat cheese were delicious. The octopus with cucumber and tomato salad was refreshing and full of flavor. My husband did Bite30. He had the mussels, broil and key lime pie. He said the key lime pie crust was very salty.
We had a 6:30 reservation and were seated at 7pm. Restaurants are understaffed which was the reason for the wait but the entry point was super chaotic. There isn't a designated waiting area so when reservations backed up we were packed in directly in front of the door. This 30 minute wait was pretty unpleasant. The restaurant is loud. We ordered from the Bite 30 menu which included a Firecracker shrimp, seafood boil, and Key Lime pie for dessert. The shrimp had a little heat and was pretty much what you would expect. The seafood boil was a generous portion and cooked well. The Key Lime pie had a super thick crust and wasn't overly sweet. The highlight of the meal was the Firefly Fizz cocktail. It was tasty and original. Our server was kind and quick. I would go again but perhaps not on a Friday night.
We come here every few weeks and are never disappointed!
Amazing food and service. Happy hour specials are spectacular! We are looking forward to being back soon
We ordered the hot spinach dip which didn’t disappoint. We all agreed that the clam strip basket was the best we ever had and we are from New England.
From pasta dish to low country boil the food was good. The baked oysters were amazing.
Priced at $37 the filet was quite thin making us think it was ribeye. The swordfish was likewise very thin, a little disappointing.
The service was top notch. One of our group went outside for a smoke and the waiter actually went out to let him know that dinner was served. Water glasses were kept filled and the waiter had a personality.
We would definitely go back!
We were so excited to be back at one of our favorite local spots, trying out the new Bite30 menu! Another great night and we will be back soon
Our waitress was super fun! Always a great dinner!
Very busy and they didn't seem to have enough help..my husband waited 15 minutes for a beer. Over and hour wait for the dinner. Grouper special was so, so, not much flavor. My husband did enjoy his shrimp appetizer.
Food was excellent! Decided to try Reel Fish because they are participating in Bite30. Food was excellent, service was great. Be sure to make a reservation if you’re going at peak dinner times!
Bite 30 menu was fantastic, as well as the service!
This is usually one of our favorite places, but this visit was a little off. The noise level was extremely high and made it next to impossible to have a conversation with our companions. The food was great, but service was a little slow.
We love Reel Fish! The owners and the staff are probably some of the best service we have ever had. We have been coming back every couple of weeks or so and likely will increase that even more. JJ is amazing and so is Simone! Most importantly, the food is fresh and local and that’s oir favorite part!
Always excellent food. A bit noisy when the restaurant is full.
Low country boil was great. Raw oysters were amazing.
The swordfish was dry and the dirty rice was a bit bland
Our Dinner experience was Outstanding as usual, everyone was friendly, attentive
the food was Superb, talking to Owner Ted was great getting all the updates of Area and his Restaurant

Only thing better than the food was the service. The servers and other staff all worked perfectly together helping each other to make sure every table was taken care of.
Totally outstanding experience
Best Seafood in town!! Always great service and ambience
Happened to sit in the bar and enjoyed big Gulf oysters steamed and raw during happy hour. Fred is serving one of the best swordfish dishes I have ever had. Blackened with a sauce over a bed collard greens
Great food, excellent service, good value and nice decor!
Great spot for thoughtfully and expertly prepared fresh fish and seafood. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Share the delicious (and ample) desserts.
Wonderful meal! Food is consistently good. We had Peel &Eat Shrimp, Reel Gumbo, and Shrimp Louie Salad, which are are our “must orders” whenever we eat here. Tried the Low Country Boil for the first time, and we will definitely order it again! Our server, Kennedy, was attentive to all our needs. Creative drink menu. Restaurant has a fun vibe.
Our waiter Luis was charming and very confident of the menu to recommend my husband and I the best choices along with great service. The oysters were fresh and so delicious as the rest of our meal
You’ll love this hidden gem!!! Good food, cool atmosphere, amazing service!! Our server JayJay was legit the best server I’ve had in years! He was familiar with everything on the menu and he happily accommodated us.
The food here is always very good. The service always polite but extremely inefficient. Wait time fir drinks is always too much. Waited 25 for first beer & 15 min for second beer. Always extremely slow.
Cooks could not get a simple order correct . Manager tried to cover up but failed.
Brunch was underwhelming. The french toast was terrible but the calamari, fried green tomatoes and drinks were great.
Love Reel Fish! Best fish dip and collard greens ever!!!
Always enjoy my visit here. Good fresh fish cooked just right.
Truly enjoyed my experience. The food excellent and so was the experience!
Food and service was great but seated too closely with boisterous late comers !
