We discovered this gem when one of our friends moved into a local apartment complex. Now it has become our favorite place to get together to share a meal. Everything is good. We love the salmon, tacos, salads, and burgers. This past Sunday I had prime rib, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The vegetable sides are fantastic. All of us highly recommend the Brussel sprouts.
Good local place w excellent service. Calamari is tops.
Went for lunch, I highly recommend the burger!!!
Went to catch up with friends I hadn't seen in decades. I had understood that there was outdoor seating - I didn't realize that that meant three tables on the sidewalk in a shopping mall. Indoors the concrete floor made for a pretty energetic noise level, which was not super conducive to hearing each other talk. Food was ok, service also ok, nothing to write home about.
Love-Love Redwood Grill! We have eaten here for lunch, dinner and Sunday Brunch. Always delicious and the staff is super nice!
Good basic menu but would be nice if they changed it up once in awhile, I think we are getting tired of it.
I really would like to see some new things on the menu. Bread in stead of popcorn and a a better selection of wine. Especially white wines.
Always a comfortable place to have a very good family meal. Our server on this visit was Rachel, who did an outstanding job. Devilish Eggs are excellent as the combination of bacon and barbecue sauce is perfect. I like the diversity of the crowd, which is very relaxed of all ages and backgrounds. A very nice addition to the neighborhood.
Our server Rachel was perfect in every way! She was always there when we needed her and she played a major role in making our friend’s 95th birthday celebration perfectly enjoyable. We were able to bring our own cake in, and as long as we were willing to cut it, there were no extra fees charged which was very much appreciated. The owner came out as we were getting ready to leave, after enjoying ourselves in the restaurant for 2 1/2 hours, to wish our friend “Happy Birthday”. We will certainly return the next time our group celebrates a birthday!
Loved the brisket tacos! Brisket was lean and flavorful. Good selection of wines by the glass. Our waitress was very attentive, even though they were busy. Will go back again!
I had high hopes for my second visit to Redwood Grill since my first visit was so good. We got a nice table and a seemingly good waiter, but it was downhill from there. The bruschetta had so much vinegar on it that it made my eyes water, the chopped salad had a great list of ingredients, but was bland and boring. The only OK thing we ordered was a grilled avocado with shrimp and it lacked much shrimp.
We sat with dirty plates in front of us for about 20 minutes. We ordered coffee which was not hot and definitely from the bottom of the pot. The waiter even asked us if it was OK and we shrugged and grimaced, but that wasn't good enough to get it replaced.
Redwood Grill is definitely a jovial place with lots of people who know one another, but the food and service are lacking.
Great food, cheerfully served. Surprisingly busy for a Tuesday night.
Birthday for Beth!
The service was slow
Took the whole family for my sons preschool graduation. Fantastic experience as always.
Heads- up...RG doesn't serve the impossible burger anymore. :(
This was my first time eating at Redwood Grill. Looking at the menu, my mouth was watering. I had the Greens and Goats salad and added chicken (half size) with the sparkling watermelon lemonade. Everything was delicious! Our waiter was very kind and did the perfect amount of checking in and leaving us alone.
This is an unassuming place, but dint be fooled by the strip mall exterior. The food is great and the service is awesome.
Great food. Great service. A little loud but didn’t effect conversation. Super place.
We love this place and dine regularly. This time, the server wasn’t as good as the others typically are.
Maybe, the noise level was impossibly loud, the decor may look good, but the noise is unbearable. Eggs benedict were okay, hollandaise not great.
Food was good as far as taste and arrived quickly
Service was ok but didn't like the clearing of the table while we still eating
Not too great of variety on the menu
Ordered the brownie it was really dry and I sent it back
Another good dinner at our neighborhood restaurant! Will return.
Managed to get some last minute reservations on a Friday right before the real dinner crush. Our high top wasn't yet cleared out (not a first for us) and we ended up having to wait about 20 minutes, which isn't easy with a couple young kids. Once sat, we ordered a fairly straight forward dinner and things went well. Didn't take too long, ids managed not to fall off the stools, etc. Overall I would recommend Redwood Grill, though their tendency to aggressively reserve tables might have you waiting a bit even though empty tables can be seen here or there.
Great place to relax. Reasonably priced food and drinks in a friendly less formal environment. I like that the crowd is diverse with families of all ages.
We had ribs and prime rib w/mashed potatoes and those little cabbages. The ribs were great fall off the bone and tangy sauce. Potatoes unremarkable but ok. Didn’t like the roasted little cabbages. The prime rib was tough - how can that be? Bread pudding was good but needed whipped cream. The fried avocado was very unusual and tasty. Liked the menu with a wide variety.
I made a reservation 1 week in advance for 5 people. We were shown to a table set for 4 with another chair brought over in aisle. Hostess was discourteous, food and drinks were overpriced. I will not go back .
Love this place. Visit regularly. Chicken sandwich was disappointing this time. Used to be full chicken breast this time the chicken was extremely thin and then battered. The bread was probably 5x’s thicker than the chicken. This is not their usual quality, so hopefully it was just an off day.
We will be back!
We really like our neighborhood Redwood Grill, but every restaurant has a bit of an “off day”! It took our food 25 minutes to be served even though the restaurant was 1/2 empty! My wedge salad (very small cut wedge!) was served w/o dressing (I had to ask our server -when she walked by our table- for some dressing....a helper delivered it). Plus the salmon was only slightly warm. Pulled pork sandwich was tasty as was the sweet potato fries. We will return but perhaps not on a Monday.
Great food & service! Looking forward to returning to one of our neighborhood favorites!
Great example of not judging a book by its cover. This restaurant is tucked away in a plaza, and, while the entry is rather diminutive, the indoor ambiance reminded me of Restoration Hardware. I ate when both brunch and lunch were offered, and I was a bit surprised that there weren't two menus. The only reason I bring this up is because I eyed an item on their website that was not offered. No harm, though: there were other delicious options, with great portions. Redwood Grill offers great food in an intimate setting.
This is a great local spot. Unfortunately our waiter was MIA most of the hour. We waited 10 minutes for anyone to approach our table after asking the hostess to send someone over. After we got our food there was zero followup: we had to ask a busboy for condiments and although I would have ordered another drink, he never came back. It’s too bad because this experience will definitely impact whether we ever come back.
Great value. Good is excellent in this price range. Service always very good. Very good for families and a really nice diverse crowd of all ages.
It's a neighborhood gem. Low key, but great food and service.
Nice Friday night dinner for 2. Salmon & wedge salad was good as was the veggie burger. Happy we called for a reservation. Nice neighborhood restaurant.
Very good experience. Wish we got a 2nd popcorn without asking. Great food as per usual. Table cleaner was way over-eager (lost my utensils before being done).
Limited menu, crispy sprouts were burnt and inedible waiter was friendly.
Excellent service. They are always welcoming and try to accommodate- fun options for kiddos while still being nice dining/drinking for adults. Many menu favorites here :)
