   Redwood was an extreme disappointment! Over-priced, mediocre food - $17 lamb burger that came out cool with a stale bun. Extremely unprofessional and lazy waitstaff: though restaurant was empty, very few check-ins during the meal. When food was served, rather than it being placed in front of us, the waitor had us pass plates to each other. Two servers were making out at bussing station and the hostess wearing coat inside. It seemed that no one had pride in what they were doing. I was embarrassed to have arranged this meetup with my friends whom I only see twice a year. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE.

   Food and service were good. For some unknown reason, it was empty and I thought that odd on a Wednesday evening at 7pm.

   Bring back buffet brunch. The value of the ala carte is wonderful, but the buffet brunch was the only reason I came. Also my eggs were cold which just kind of kills brunch.

   Staff was very friendly and attended to our needs without hovering. Food was great. Calamari and both flat breads were a hit at our table. Will be back soon.

   I've had poor service here before so only made the reservation because it was for a friend's party and it's her favorite place. Service was lousy as usual. The restaurant was nearly empty but we rarely saw our server. Two of us ordered hamburgers cooked medium and received essentially raw hamburgers with a sear on the outside. Staff forgot repeatedly to bring us condiments we requested. I think it took three requests to receive ketchup.

   My husband and I decided to go here for happy hour one night. I got there before him and sat at the bar to have a glass of wine. I ordered the fried pickles to start. They were delish! Cisco, the bartender, introduced himself and made me feel right at home. When my husband arrived, the bartender also introduced himself to him and convinced us to stay at the bar instead of head to our table. So we did. Not only were the drinks he made delish, but so was the food he recommended was as well. My husband got the chicken dish, which was to-die-for and I got the White-bean veggie burger, which is by far the best in Bethesda. Cisco talked up everything on the menu and it was clear he really enjoys his job. It was very nice to see. We will be going back to redwood to try out more of the food, and certainly get more of the yummy cocktails. I would def recommend this place for the Happy hour.

   We had a fantastic lunch. They offer 2 or 3 course lunch specials. The portions were extremely generous and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the salmon with succotash, and their soups are great.

   Although the service was great and the ambiance comfortable, the food was mediocre and the portions way too small. The $26 fish entree had a small piece of fish, a bit of potato and that was it. The menu was also surprising limited. We brought a friend there and were embarrassed by how unexciting the food was. I now know why it was available for a last-minute reservation.

   Good food and good environment. Host was friendly & seated us right away. We had a res, but didn't need it since place was nearly empty when we got there. Highlight of the evening was our server, Megan, who was great! Excellent, friendly personality and a bit funny. Gave good recommendations, on food and drink, and seemed to know the drinks very well. She's also a bar tender, and seemed to be a regular, so was a great resource. Appetizers were very tasty. My shrimp tacos were great, though portion was not really large enough for a meal if someone were hungry.

    Redwood is one of my favorite restaurants in Bethesda. Creative dishes prepared just right. Beautiful, modern decor. Nice outdoor space in pedestrian Bethesda Row. Even indoor seating is wonderful because of huge windows.
