Such a nice place to go. It is right next to the Pasadena playhouse and the staff working so hard to get everyone taken care of it time for their show. Good cocktails, a nice winelist, and good food. We tried the tapas this time, the octopus was phenomenal, and we loved the roasted brussel sprouts with sherry. The shrimp were good, but I would save the calories on the lobster mac and try anot her interesting dish the next time. Have been here twice, once for a show and once just because...enjoyed te pianist both times!

Not great. The service was great but the food was just so-so. The noise level at 6:30 was not great although I enjoyed the jazz pianist it was too loud to talk to the other couple we were with. I ordered the cheeseburger and it was too charred to really enjoy.

Food mediocre, service passable, noise level too high for diners' conversation

Service.. not so much.. two servers for the whole place and they seemed to be scattered all over.. as such, we got far more attention from Mario the busboy, and had to send him for the waiter twice and the manager once at the end to get our bill paid... Food... OK.. Mussels w/ Chorizo were hilight. purple deviled eggs sounded good, but kinda bland. Fried calamari and Shrimp also good and a large serving but about half as much Marinara as we wanted.. Patatas Bravas were also just ok. It was convenient for meal before the show at Pasadena Playhouse, but with Roy's or Blaze or El Portal or even The Stand within a block, next time we'll walk a bit.

We had Tapas, except for Mac & Cheese were quite good. Service mediocre. but the piano music made up for it. Of course, the location to the Playhouse is excellent. We would definitely go back.

This was an Easter brunch for $40 apiece. Most of the "hot" food was cold. French toast was soggy. Very disappointing and not worth the money. Bacon & sausage were good and actually warm and that was about it. Normally their dinners are very good so this was doubly disappointing.

Ambiance is good for date night. It was unfortunate that on that night we were there was something that happened to the credit card machine and we had to wait longer than we had to. However our waitress was very attentive which made the wait tolerable.

The Herb-grilled chicken dish was uninspired and small. Normally when you order a chicken dish like that, they at least bring out the whole breast. Not here. The vegetables that came with it looked and tasted like they'd come out of a cafeteria. But worst of all, they served the dish with rice instead of risotto. They tried to tell me it was risotto, but it wasn't. I lived in Italy, and I think I have a pretty good idea what the difference is between risotto and rice.

My wife had a salad, which was fine, and for an appetizer (tapas) we had the Bacon Sherry Brussel Sprouts, which were marginally good but a bit on the dry side. They should have coated them in olive oil to bring out the taste and give them a little added moisture. Alas...

The service was fine, though it did take long for the main course to come out, and we had to rush a bit to make it to the show next door. Speaking of next door, this is always the kiss of death to a restaurant, when their location guarantees a steady stream of customers, which means they don't have to try as hard to be good. When they were in Old Town, I distinctly remember their food being better. Not here. I'd recommend any of a half dozen restaurants around the Playhouse that serve much better food and actually have to try to earn your business.

We enjoyed this restaurant a lot...we went before the theatre, though there were plenty of people still there when we left, so it's a popular place. It was fun and the food was really good, especially the brussel sprouts and the calimari. It's a little noisy, but not impossible. We sat on a high top in the bar and it was comfortable. We'll go back.

Great choice for dinner before a show at Pasadena Playhouse. Waiter was conscious of time & made sure to serve us promptly, and the food was really tasty & enjoyable.
