Redrock Canyon Grill - Southlake
The carrots served with everyone's entrée were just warm, not hot. We all agreed we'd go ahead and keep them and not send back to the kitchen.
My husband ordered the chicken fried chicken and couldn't eat but half of it because the batter had way too much pepper in it.
The atmosphere is great and the prices are reasonable, though. Overall pretty good.
Outstanding food and service. We never waited for a refill. They were always ahead of it. They even gave my daughter a black napkin instead of white because she had on a black shirt and didn't want any white lint to rub off on her clothes. Wow, who thinks of such things! I ordered off the gluten free menu and had more food than anyone. Food was fresh and delicious! You can see into the kitchen and see that it is clean. We did have to wait longer than some customers around us for our food but it was worth it and we didn't ask about it since we were not in a hurry. Loved everything about this place!
Overall, I like Red Rock but this week I was disappointed with the service and the price on the special. Our waiter was probably new so he didn’t check on unless we asked for something. My husband ordered a salad with his meal and after we received our entre, he was asked if he wanted it. we both ordered the seafood special without knowing the price and were surprised it was $33 for a piece of fish and a few pieces of asparagus.
As always, great food and wonderful service. Servers were attentive but not too much so. We alway appreciate the friendly staff and the food is great!
I usually enjoy Redrock. I know it is going to be loud on a Friday night. This visit the service was good, however our food was extremely overcooked. The mac and cheese was runny. Very disappointing. We will not be going again. Too many restaurants in Southlake to spend money on bad food.
We visited Redrock Canyon Grill last night for the first, and last, time. I was looking for a place we haven't been to for a rare date night with my wife. RCG was recommended to me by a friend (who is now definitely outside of the circle of trust).
It is very difficult to have a conversation in this restaurant due to the noise level. We ordered drinks and the pinot noir ordered (actually pointing to it on the menu for the server to see since hearing what anyone says is difficult) somehow came to the table as chardonnay. It was sent back and 10 minutes later when the right wine was delivered I was told not to worry that the bar tender wouldn't charge me for the chardonnay!?!?
The food wasn't good. Calamari was out of a pre-made/frozen bag and tasted like it. The pork chop was tough, overcooked and bland. We skipped dessert to end the misery early.
I think RCG is trying to be a more upscale version of Applebee's, but is struggling to do that. Everything about this restaurant needs to be improved: food, service, quality, ambiance. Needless to say, we won't be back.
We are so happy! The food AND service here is simply excellent. We have been here three times and really love it!
Waiter was attentive and knowledgeable.
Noise level was too high. Particularly as the kitchen is exposed to the restaurant and the kitchen lead was yelling orders to the kitchen staff from the counter. Made the ambiance uncomfortable. Normal conversation was virtually impossible. Suggest a buffer wall between the restaurant and kitchen
Food was good and portions were substantial. Would go back.
We had a great meal.
We had another great meal at one of our favorite restaurants. They have great food and wonderful service and we very much enjoyed coming here on a regular basis
The service was great. However our appetizers took a while to get to the table. We barely had time to eat those before our entrees were on the table. The food was fantastic. I would return.
Food was terrific - service was stellar - we have a great waitress!
Menu had a great variety. Wait staff was efficient and friendly. The hostess helped us when our waiter was busy. Great teamwork. Food was delicious. My party had chicken fried steak, baby back ribs, and filet mignon. Extremely fair prices. Will return soon.
Great food, service, and atmosphere!
We had a great meal here at this restaurant which we have been to a few times before. They have a great taste to their food and some very special items that make dining here just enjoyable. I would recommend
Food was delicious! Waitstaff was friendly, efficient, and didn't hesitate to fill drinks or clear dirty dishes even if it wasn't "their" table. We will keep going back!
Honestly, I was expecting more. The pork chops were dry, lacked flavor and just were not very good. I had a salad and the dressing was the house special. It was really sweet and thick. Not good. Overall, I hate to give this rating, but it was not a good experience and I won't be going back.
They tried hard but the food just wasn’t that good especially for the price. Really overcooked some items. Service was good but we were there on a Sunday night and it was slow. I’d try it again.
I am a plant-based eater and the fresh vegetables on the vegetable platter was an awesome experience!
We enjoyed a wonderful girl's night out in a high energy environment on a Saturday evening. We were seated at a half circular table at the end. It was quiet enough to hear each other and the food was delicious, as always.
Food is always fabulous. Love that they offer s Happy Hour on Saturday.
One of our go-to restaurants in Southlake. As always the food was very good. The ambiance was nice, but the restaurant is loud.
Staff all very friendly and helpful . food was creative and good and very good value.
We enjoyed going to Redrock Canyon Grill because of that unique flavors and great service. This is a favorite for us and we try to get to this place as often as possible. I would recommend
Nice date night out with my sweetheart (wife). The service was great!... Thanks Randall. He suggested the halibut versus the salmon that I was originally looking at and it was FANTASTIC! All the food was well prepared and very tasty. We also enjoyed some wine and one of the signature drinks.
Always a fan. Christian was our server, he was extremely attentive. Service was great, but there is always a wait when you order anything that has to pass through the bar.
Excellent service and quality food in a relaxed atmosphere.
Love the porkchop which was cooked to perfection
First time visit and will add to places nearby to dine
This is a great find. The service is good and the food is tremendous. The wood flavored cooking is absolutely incredible great chef here
I was in town for one night and decided to eat here with my family. A group of 6. We made a reservation on OpenTable and was looking forward to a great meal. They made my meal twice and twice they got my food wrong. Service was terrible on top of everything else. Waiter was not polite or apologetic about our dining experience. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. I'm actually wrote this review sitting in the restaurant and I’ve posted on yelp and FB already. #frustrated
Fun night out with friends and our teenagers
Matt, our waiter, was the best we have had in the metroplex this year! His service was unbelievable!
Really good comfort food. The atmosphere is really great a little noisy but to be expected.
Birthday celebratory dinner- very good. Had ribs, trout and salmon.
We’ve eaten at RedRock many times and always enjoy the food and service. However, tonight was even better than normal with Trevor as our waiter. He was so pleasant and friendly and provided incredible service. We don’t normally request a particular server when we come in because they are all great (and still are), but we will most likely request Trevor in the future.
This is our favorite restaurant in Southlake. The food and service is always top notch.
Awesome as always.
Excellent food and service. Ribeye was great and so was the meatloaf.
