Redrock Canyon Grill - Overland Park
Great food and service, but very loud at 7:30-9p
Service was slow
We were a group of 5 celebrating 2 birthdays.
Our waiter said he had something for the Birthday Ladies
It was a scoop of vanilla ice cream with a candle
We were charged $3 for both dishes of ice cream.
Most nice restaurants comp a Birthday Dessert
No big deal, except the waiter made it sound like he was treating them
My Redrock Salad was awesome as Usual!!
The noise level truly makes it hard to talk. The ambiance is great other than that. The food is always good and the wait staff is always very good.
Bday lunch for my bride. Delightful! Thanks for making her feel special!
I was celebrating my 46 wedding anniversary with my 2 daughters & grandkids although my husband/dad /papa passed away in February. Just a sweet thing they did for me. Food & service was outstanding!
We enjoyed our evening and our food at Redrock Canyon. We were in a booth next to the bar and it was very crowded and noisy making it difficult to have conversation with our guests. Had we been seated away from the bar the evening would have been perfect.
Rib eye steak is to die for. Mashed potatoes are the best. Service was great as always
Our servers name was Tori and she was fabulous! Food was great. There were four of us,and it was very loud at 7:00pm. If you have any issues with hearing, you may want to go at a quitter time of day.
We got off to a bumpy start but then the manager made things right. It was greatly appreciated.
Brown gravy was spicy and should not have been. Way too much pepper on fried chicken. Steak and pork chops were very good.
Birthday dinner for friend. Noise level is so high it’s hard to have a conversation, tables are positioned poorly. Ordered special with disappointment that they were out after order was placed. Food was good, nothing exceptional. Service was outstanding, best team work from a group I have seen in a very long time.
I don’t typically write reviews, as this is only the second restaurant I have ever written for. My visit to Resdrock was because I couldn’t get in at the other restaurant - and what a treat! From the time I walked in to the time I left, the service was outstanding. A friendly greeting, terrific table service, and when it came time to pay, another server came by to run my card just to make sure we weren’t waiting too long. The appetizer, dinner, and dessert were delicious!
Given the number of people at Redrock Wednesday night they clearly don’t need my review - but if you haven’t been yet, please give them a try. I took my boys, 9, 13, and 19, and they all enjoyed it. Keep up the great work!!
Chicken Fried Steak is great (the black pepper needs toned down a little bit in the gravy). . Chicken Enchiladas was bland. Soup was good.
I had reserved a table for 6, then at the last minute, it changed to 8 and they still accommodated us by the reservation time. Great food, service and ambiance!
Love the food at Redrock Canyon —- Josh our server was great. Try the chicken! It’s great!
We requested outdoor seating through the reservation system but when we arrived we’re told they don’t honor those requests, outdoor seating is on a first come first serve basis. Luckily there was a table open so we were able to get outdoor seating. The service was very slow and we waited at least 15 to 20 minutes for our first drink And had to ask for our waiter several times.
Fresh Halibut special, excellent
Great food and always a great experience.
It was a really busy night with a lot of homecoming kids. I think we may have been forgotten, as I never got a page. When my husband Went to check, we were then seated. The noise level was a little (understandably) high. With that said, we had a great time, the food & service was wonderful! We will definitely be returning!
Redrock Canyon is one of my favorite restaurants. I recommend it to everyone.
Very loud- Reuben was awful- not sure we will be back for awhile.
I very much like this restaurant; however, the past couple of times, including this time when I ordered salads there wasn't much chicken in them which is disappointing. The wait staff is quick and friendly. Additionally, and I have no idea how to fix this...it is extremely loud in the restaurant, especially during peek times. The noise level makes it difficult to have a conversation with your family who you are eating with.
The service here is pretty good. Nice atmosphere. Food is very good also. The only negative I would give them is the place is fairly noisy if you want to have a pleasant conversation you have to be a bit loud.
Always great food and excellent service. Never had an item I have not enjoyed.
We had a fantastic evening, the food was excellent and they treated my sister on her birthday with the best. I’m looking forward to bringing more friends and clients to enjoy this place thank you so much.
Lovely evening meal on the patio.
Hostess was very helpful in obtaining an outside table on such a busy evening.
Our first encounter was hostile and this continued! --Our hostess rolled her eyes at our request for a larger table!!, our waitress was brusque when taking orders, our drinks trickled into us 15 minutes after placing order, one of the diner's pork chop was raw, which the waitress tried to convince us was the "way the chef cooked pork chops." They did not charge of the chop dinner, but overall ambiance was border line warfare against guests. What's going on? Too bad bc some of the food, when cooked, was excellent--chicken, mashed potatoes and carrots speak comfort but not in this outright hostile environment.
Really enjoyed this visit. I come here frequently and the waiter we had, Maurice, was AWESOME!!! Was really laid back and as I waited for my party was engaging in conversation and really interesting background. Big Up's for him!
It was great! We had our daughter and her family and we were all pleased
Food consistently good.
First time dining and appreciated that our party of six was seated right away. Our server was very nice and happy to give us a little more time to look at the menu - but it turned into an uncomfortable 15 minutes before he came back. My shrimp scampi pasta was delicious, and our son’s burger was much better than most, but the highly anticipated rotisserie chicken was very good but truly not an over the top experience. Biggest issue was the noise. If you are thinking about bringing grandma out for dinner, don’t expect she’ll be able to hear you. On the flip side, the perfect place to bring a fussy toddler - no one would ever notice! I look forward to trying something else on the menu next time.
Our waiter Maurice was amazing! He made the dining experience all the better. We all enjoyed our entrees and all the changes to the dishes we made were fulfilled. It was a lovely night celebrating my husbands birthday!!!
Redrock Canyon Grill is an excellent restaurant and is one of our favorites in Overland Park. The steaks are the best in town. Our entries were excellent, and the service was very good. The bar scene is energetic and always crowded. This is always a good choice when dining in Overland Park. Highly recommended and you will need a reservation.
I just thought it was a wonderful experience. If you are taking that special someone out I think this is the excellent place to show her you have taste
Exceptional service from the front door throughout our meal. The food was delicious and our server was attentive without being intrusive.
