   Wonderful dinner experience, excellent waitress and staff. The pork chops were by far the best I have had in the KC area, highly recommend. Seated on-time based on our reservation. A great place to dine!!

   Food and service were excellent. We brought friends from out of town. Our group ordered pork chops, meatloaf, shrimp scampi, Rock Canyon chicken salad, and chicken tortilla soup. All excellent. It is our favorite chicken tortilla soup and pork chop in town. Our server was very personable and polite. She checked on us frequently to see if we needed anything. She kept an eye on our drinks and kept them filled with out us having to ask. Always enjoy our experience there.

   This place is usually reliable for good food and great service. This experience was not either. The food - once we received it - was pretty good, but the calamari was dry and dinner was not hot (the ribs were actually almost cold to the touch when got them). The service was bad. My wine took almost 30 minutes to come out. The appetizer even longer. We talked to a manager, and the order was “put to the front of the line”, but it still took a while to come out. With kids, waiting over 40 minutes on the early side of dinner for a mostly rotisserie dinner was not acceptable. We also asked if we could be seated outside and we’re told there wasn’t room. There were available tables, and my understanding was patio seating is first-come, but they completely dismissed us. If this was our first visit, it would be our last. I am hopeful it was fluke.

   Meeting with business associates & I was humiliated to think I recommended your salads that cost $18 & it was served in the large bowls with half a handful of lettuce ... it doesn’t cost that much to throw on a bowl of lettuce & the toppings were VERY minimal

   We were seated immediately upon arrival, which was great. Our wait person was pretty efficient. In fact almost too efficient. Our table for two was so tiny that when our appetizer arrived, we hardly had room for the enormous plate on the table. Our wait person came back twice asking if we were ready to order dinner and finally when we were about halfway finished with our appetizer, we decided to go ahead and order. In less than 5 minutes our dinners arrived. We hadn’t even finished our appetizer or cocktails. And the appetizer plate had to be removed so that our dinner plates would fit on the table. Food was pretty good, but my chicken leg and thigh had to have come from the tiniest chickens on the planet. The honey carrots were delicious as was my margarita. All in all, everything was just OK.

    Thought the service could have used a few tune ups. Staff was attentive, perhaps overly so. Wait staff should consider not interrupting diners as often, I can see them...all they need to do is kind of slow down as they pass the table, and if we need something we'll ask. Being interrupted four or so times during our meal, after being interrupted three or four times during the appetizer is too much. I get that perhaps once you have to ask if the food is good, etc... Also, the runner brought our steaks and dropped them at the end of the table for us....so nice...couldnt be bothered to slide them over to us....and of course she had pads to protect her fingers from the hot plates... Overall food was good, and service was timely and attentive...

    Love this restaurant for its great food, prices, and vibe. Seems like they always have plenty of staff and everyone is attentive. Their menu has a lot of variety. You can never go wrong with their cornbread as well as their pork chop or chicken fried chicken. Highly recommend the smoky old fashioned cocktail. Cheers!

    A rare miss. Dined there on a number of occasions when they were far busier. Poor table placement. Food on the floor and no attempt to clean it up. Just an off experience where we left far earlier than usual. Definitely disappointed.

    It was my birthday, and the waiter kept forgetting things and did not get orders correct for our party of 5. I expected some type of birthday dessert or something for my birthday, but he told us you all don’t do that which I find hard to believe. He messed up my brother order and tried to say my brother said “scampi” when my brother specifically said, “north coast salmon” and my brother doesn’t even eat shrimp so he never took accountability. The sassy manager came over with the correct meal which she claimed would take 4 minutes but took 15 minutes. And she also rolled her eyes and had a smart tone while speaking with us. Last but not least, he added drinks we did not have to the wrong checks and claimed he was going to fix it but he didn’t and he charged us anyway. Good thing we have money and we’re able to just pay each other back for HIS MISTAKES. This was the absolute worse experience, and I will never be back. Food was cold, service was HORRIBLE, and the manager was an absolute mess.

    I like the restaurant it is a bit noisy. I ordered a dish that I love very much. It came to me smothered in some sour cream sauce, so it was not edible. Otherwise the weight staff were fine and it was brunch time so they were busy. I still recommend eating here. I just won’t order my favorite dish any longer.

    Food and service were great. My only complaint was that the booth in front of us spilled some ice and water on the floor. I told the next three young guys that passed by that they should clean it up before someone slipped. They did nothing. The young female host finally cleaned it up. I think all of the young guys were hosts but not sure. They obviously need a safety retrain session.

    My mom and I were looking forward to the Nice little house salad but a dinner portion. The portion we received was more like the a lunch portion. It was nothing like we’ve received in the past. When we asked the manager about it he just said, Yeah, they have made the salad sizes smaller. We didn’t feel it warranted the $18 price tag. ☹️

    First visit and loved the atmosphere with excellent smells from the rotisserie and grill plus the menu options. Tried the Signature Red Rock salad which had unusual ingredients of dates and avocado along with rotisserie chicken and host of other tasty morsels intelligently dressed with champagne vinaigrette. Also really enjoyed the wood-grilled sausages, chicken thigh & leg with exotic custom mustard. Did substitute grilled zucchini & squash which were charred perfectly and delicious alternative to coleslaw. Had to explore their canyon mushrooms which were perfectly sautéed in a hearty and yummy sauce. Looking forward to return and try some more of the menu and service.
