Great Sunday menu as usual, just found the beef a little tough, with sinew. Won’t stop us visiting though

Food was delicious. All fresh. Some menu items not available such as the peas cocktail and pork for the Sunday lunch - but understandable for a busy Sunday lunch time. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would return!

Visited with family. One member is in a wheelchair, easily accessible. Lovely food and the young girls were very helpful and friendly. Nice atmosphere, I would highly recommend.

I visited The Redmore Inn Hayfield Hill Rugeley on 31st March 2025, 29th April 2025, 5th May 2025 and the last time was 29th May. This was my choice of where to bring my friends because we go out once a month and I had, had good experience's until the last time. My food came I had the steak and Ale pie, I found a hair in it. Not just in it but backed into the pastry. So much that it lifted an inch square segment of pastry. It took ten minutes for me to grab the attention of a waitress. I said politely and quietly that there was a problem with my food, with a hair in the pastry. I showed how it lifted a chunk of pastry. It was taken away. A considerable amount of time later it was bought back to me stating it was not a hair it was egg wash and do I want to keep eating it. Obviously egg wash will not hold a lump of pastry it would break being brittle. Also egg wash does not present as a strand imbedded inside pastry. Just for the record don't call a customer a liar and bring back cold examined food! Obviously I said no I don't want it. I was not offered anything else or a refund. The waitress returned again to tell me it defiantly was not the chef's hair, it was the wrong colour anyway! May be I would have understood if they had said sorry it's possible a pastry brush bristle, but to come and tell me again I was wrong. After this I cancelled the desert I had ordered at the start of the meal because I was going to have the two course set meal. She said I will take the dessert off the bill. I said please remove the cost of the main meal as I didn't eat it. The farce did not end there. The bill came and it was wrong. We had been over charged! Only one out of the four of us ended up having the set meal deal. Turns out the computer takes the discount off the cheapest meal. I have never checked my bills before. Now I wonder how many times I was over charged. We only found out this time because we were splitting the bill. Financial trickery!

Took my wife for birthday meal they looked after her extremely well and even sang happy birthday which was amazing, the food was up to a very high standard and the service was excellent thank you for a great night. I would fully recommend

Another great Sunday lunch at the Redmore Inn. It didn’t disappoint. The belly of pork was gorgeous, along with the sides of vegetables, the only criticism I could give was that the roast potatoes were on the cool side, but it didn’t detract from the meal at all. We will be back very soon
