What a wonderful meal and excellent service dining at Red Eye Grille prior to our Carnegie Hall concert. The table we requested was ready, we were greeted warmly at the front maitre d' station, our waiter Polo pointed us in the right direction for our meal choices. His service was excellent and my rib eye steak was cooked to perfection along with delicious pommes frites and tasty asparagus. It was so special seeing Richard, the General Manager, whom I recognized from years of dining st Cafe Fiorello..charming and welcoming as ever. Go to Red Eye Grille. It will not disappoint. The food and service are excellent.

The service and ambiance were excellent, but my miso glazed black cod had bones in it, and my son was delivered a ribeye instead of the filet that he ordered, which was given to another diner.

Made pre-concert reservations on one of the busiest nights of the year (Valentine's Day). This place never disappoints.

My guests and I enjoyed a wonderful meal, great service, from reception (champagne toast was a nice touch) throughout our dining experience. We were very impressed with the decor and energy, within the restaurant. We enjoyed everything about our experience, and would be happy to recommend you to friends and business associates, in fact I already have!

The food and service are always good at Red Eye Grill. I was happy to see more meat listings on the menu. I'm not a fish eater but my husband is. The menu change has made dining here a great experience for both of us. We don't live in the city but enjoy this restaurant and others from the group when we do visit.

More congenial than expected. I remember having a business meal here but a casual get together worked just as well. Our waiter was charming and efficient. Food was good, nothing too fancy on this occasion, but tasty.

When going to Carnegie Hall, we usually dine next door at the Trattoria del Arte, but his time we tried Red Eye. It was wonderful! Because it was my husband's birthday, we were surprised with a celebratory glass of sparkling wine. We were shown to a booth near the back, because i had request a quiet romantic table, but instead opted for a nice window table . No fuss about changing tables, pleasant staff all the way around and our waiter was excellent. we enjoyed the dinner more than the show, but all in all it made for a lovely evening in the city.

Wanted to like Redeye, but Sunday afternoon is not the best time to eat here. Several menu items were unavailable. Lasagna was burnt and risotto was overcooked. Hopefully it is better at other times

Horrible brunch. Over cooked cold omelettes, really, no taste and lack of basic staples and brunch food items on the menu. Never again. This was below average and expensive to boot.

Was on edge at first on how this restaurant would be and if it would be worth it and I was %110 satisfied with my experience in all aspects. I hope I can come back here again someday! Plus surprisingly great vegan and vegetarian options!

The service was fantastic as was the food. A little bit loud, but there was live music in the bar so understandable and the singer was very good. We had a wonderful time. As always.

Best burger my wife and I have ever had. With a horseradish aioli. Dynamite. Lump crab cake was equally delicious. And the live music is always awesome.

When you write a restaurant review for Open Table you're asked "What would you recommend this restaurant for?" And then there's a list of things. I'm going to ignore that list and simply say if you want a wonderful dinner, served by friendly, caring, attentive waiters, in an environment that is pleasant and clean, and generally has live piano music in the background so it doesn't interfere with your conversation, eat at The Redeye Grill. We live in Coral Gables, FL now but return to New York - where I lived and worked for over 50 years - four or fives times a year. I know restaurants in all 5 boroughs and no matter where else we go, we always go, one, maybe twice sometimes 3 times during our visits to NYC to the Redeye Grill. Whether you're celebrating or eating alone, I promise you will come out of the restaurant feeling very good about your meal and the evening.

I love this place. From the minute you walk in they give you the feeling you're welcome and they're going to make sure you have a pleasant time. The restaurant is spacious and well kept, the food is excellent and nicely presented. The wait staff is one of the best in the city. Friendly, professional, thoughtful, attentive and very accommodating to your taste and needs. They often have a very nice piano/singer performing during dinner. This is one of the restaurants we ALWAYS go back to during our 3 o 4 visits to New York. Oh yes, there's always a covered dish of some kind of chocolate at the reception desk either to take the edge off your appetite when you arrive or as a nice farewell taste as you leave.

Excellent restaurant choice for delicious food, great service, and convenience to Carnegie Hall!
We enjoyed our Family celebration for our 7 year grandson who won an International music competition to play a classical piano song in Carnegie Hall! The restaurant staff was particularly nice to our grandson - sending a complimentary Shirley Temple drink to him before the meal and after, a big fresh pink cotton candy! Happy we chose this restaurant!

Been here a couple times but this time, nobody attended to us even for water to start till 15mins later when we had to wave to the maître d guy.... both of us ordered egg dishes which said on the top, comes with toasts but we had none. We were also not served the warm pretzels that we had on other occasions and the other tables around us were having... super disappointing brunch experience
