   We had beet salad for appetizer and crab cake with grilled shrimp !! Delicious!!! Our waiter was Gasbar!! He was very informative and had a fun personality

   Impromptu visit during lunch! We’re so glad we stopped in. The service was great and the food was perfect. Those special flourishes, like bringing by surprise cookies at the table and having dark chocolate bark as a farewell at the exit? Brilliant. Such a nice touch. Ten out of ten. Manager, server, and host’s demeanor? Eleven out of ten. Thank you for a lovely all around experience.

   Staff acted bothered with everyone and were rude, food was just okay, waters never refilled, every table in the section we sat in had a problem. Would not return

   It was Mother’s Day, my niece was singing at Carnegie hall and i wanted a nice restaurant nearby that could accommodate 9 of us. The Redeye did exactly that, even giving just a large round table for 9 in our own private room. We had a wonderful family dinner, the service was great. Our only negative was that 2 of the lasagne seafood specials came out cold in the middle, and by the time they returned with a warmed version, the rest of us had finished our meals. That happens sometimes, but our overall food experience was a big A!!!

   We've had many lovely meals at Red Eye Grill over the years. Unfortunately our most recent outing fell short. First of all, we had reserved an outside table & when we arrived, we were offered a table in direct sunlight with a broken umbrella that could not be opened, so we opted for inside instead & that was disappointing. Secondly, our server got many things wrong. Two of us asked for the special french toast entree which came with strawberries & whipped cream. One of us asked for no whipped cream. Both entrees came with no whipped cream and no strawberries & it took between 5-10 minutes to rectify that situation. One of us also asked for a side order of bacon very well done, crispy & were brought the opposite, extremely fatty bacon. After again asking for it to be well done, it was brought back about 5 minutes later still not well done, but we accepted it and continued to wait for our strawberries & whipped cream. Thirdly, one of us asked for an omelet with peppers, onions & spinach with green salad on the side & was brought 3 eggs over easy, no vegetables & the green salad. After too much confusion, we were told they would remake his dish. They should have left the green salad because his did not arrive until after the rest of our party had completed our meals; it took over 15 minutes to make an omelet. The restaurant wasn't close to full, I'd say between 40-50% of the tables were empty. Perhaps there was a staffing issue in the kitchen or with our server, but we were not given any kind of explanation for all these errors, nor was there any kind of discount to our bill. We will certainly insist on the server reading us back our orders the next time we dine at Red Eye Grill, and hope this was a one-time screw up.
