Enjoyed the evening during the off season in Yountville. Evening was great!
Amazing dinner always. Amazing service. Never disappoints. The wine pairing is always perfect with the meals and the desserts are unbelievable. Can never go wrong with Redd.
Good, but nothing out of this world.
Fabulous on all fronts - amazing food, service and ambiance.
Good food with very minimalist interior. Surprised how plain it was inside for the type of cuisine that they serve. None the less it was a good experience. Highly recommended to us by friends so we tried it on Valentine’s Day. It was very tasty.
We had a wonderful meal at REDD. The food/wine/service was special. We will be back for another meal for sure.
The flavors were great. And Paul (waiter) took care us. Would absolutely go back.
This is a world class Napa eatery that has been consistently excellent for years. I had a subpurb onion soup and the scallops. Marvelous. A "must" in the Napa Valley.
We stopped by Redd for Sunday brunch on our way out of Yountville after a quick weekend getaway. The service was excellent, and the food generally excellent (we had the smoked salmon, the Redd Lobster Roll, and the pork buns), with the exception of the pork buns. The pork was cooked perfectly, and the buns were obviously housemade, but the dish was slathered in hoisin that was far too salty to the point that it really overpowered everything else on the plate. I wish I'd gone with my first instinct to get the duck potstickers, but I was persuaded by our server's enthusiastic endorsement of the pork buns...
Food was great, service was very good. The duck was cooked a perfect medium rare and the lobster risotto had a very nice lobster taste and was cooked well.
Fantastic taste profile on the food and really romantic ambiance. Would highly recommend the Scallops
Redd is a very dynamic restaurant. Our waiter David was very attentive and the service excellent. We started with teh sashimi of Hamachi which was great and then had the Carnaroli risotto with main lobster which was better than awesome. Finally we had the Duck which was as absolutely fantastic. Overall, this is definitely a restaurant you want to eat at after a day of wine tasting.
Not the friendliest hostess and waiters, but they did their job well. It was obvious that they were trained not to socialize much. Nevertheless, the food and ambiance was outstanding. I didn’t feel special but if you are just there for the food you can’t go wrong. Expensive but I’m getting used to that in this area.
I think the food was great, but it felt so bland inside. I didn’t like the ambiance. Looked like a cafeteria.
Horrible service. We had a reservation and had to wait an additional 25 mins for our table (this is the low season in Napa btw). This was mostly because there was a large group that took up half of the restaurant that they clearly underestimated how long would take to dine. The food was okay. The corn soup (special) was great but the risotto balls/arancini desperately needed salt as did the lobster ravioli (which were clearly not made in house). Very lack luster for dining in the valley. Probably will not go back.
Another delicious meal at Redd. It was a very quiet night and the noise level was much reduced which allowed quiet conversation. The service was exceptional. We had the petrale sole and seafood stew and both were fantastic. We liked the restaurant more than last time because of the reduced noise level.
This was my second time to Redd, and it was excellent. We had friends in town, and this was our special meal out. Our friends said they had never eaten as well! The service was outstanding, and the food was unforgettable. Looking forward to our next visit.
Absolutely incredible food, attentive service, great wine selection and tasty cocktails
Have enjoyed 5+ meals here. Love it every time.
I have been to most Yountville/Napa restaurants over the years and thought we would try Redd’s.
Service was weird because they were busy doing something other than waiting tables and they kept apologizing. After asking “What’s going on,” we were told their getting ready for a health inspection.
If being a local patron I would understand, however going there as a tourist expecting a wonderful food experience didn’t happen!
Also, the wine list was limited to extremely expensive wines.
This was our second time at Redd and we thoroughly enjoyed it!! Not sure why we don't go more often. We did the tasting menu for our anniversary dinner and it was amazing. The food is so fresh and has such bright but complex flavors. This is the epitome of creative, flavorful, fresh Californian cuisine.
Great Food. I got the short ribs and steak and it was phenomenal. It reminded me of pot roast. For Dessert, I had the s’mores and it was delicious. Great ambiance- 70s mod feel.
Exceptional restaurant for food. However, the noise level is a big deterrent to a perfect dinner, and very irritating. The acoustics could easily be adjusted in this interior, but I presume management prefers it as is in order to keep people moving.
Always a wonderful experience.
we were there on a Monday evening in January and had a 5:30 reservation. We ordered the tasting menu for our party of 3. The waiter described a general course progression and took feedback about our likes and dislikes. Each course was excellent in preparation and taste. The tasting menu with its 5 courses should be the first choice. You will sample several of the regular menu offerings plus surprises. The service was attentive and thoughtful.
Absolutely delicious meal. We started out with good cocktails at the bar and then had an amazing meal. All the food was excellent, and I would strongly recommend this place! The steak dish I had was one of the better meals I’ve had in a long time.
Risotto appetizer was delicious. The Cioppino was superb (albeit the portion was fairly small) and the braised short ribs were to die fo!
This was our first visit. We had 4 adults and a baby. We loved everything but seems like the restaurant isn't kid friendly. They don't have highchairs or booster seats available for young children. This was our only complaint. We were accommodated and they reserved a table for us and left room for the stroller for the baby.
We had tasting menu with wine pairing for our group. Food was chef's choice so we didn't know what was coming. They served 2 different dishes and wine to pair with for each course. For example the ladies had scallops and the men had mussels for appetizer. So we shared the food and we got to taste 10 different dishes and wine instead of 5. Every dish was delicious. Our favorites were the pork belly and the duck. If we come back, those would be our pick for full size. Yummy!
Service was good. We came on a Thursday and it was quiet, which we loved. Overall it was a great experience at this restaurant. However if you're planning on bringing your young children, you have to bring our own highchair or booster seat.
