This restaurant is permanently closed. REDD is the first venture from acclaimed Northern California chef Richard Reddington. Redd reflects the passions of a serious chef who, after 15 years in some of the best kitchens in the United States and Europe, has found the perfect balance of serious food and unpretentious ambiance. "With Redd, I've created the type of restaurant that I like to spend time at--an inviting place that serves creative food and thoughtfully chosen wines in a relaxed, but elegant, contemporary space." Drawing from his classic French and Mediterranean sensibilities, chef Reddington has created a cuisine that combines flavors and textures that match well with local wines.


REDD’S menu showcases regionally inspired seasonal selections with ethnic influences. A daily 5 course chef’s tasting menu is also available in addition to the regular menu.

Wonderful overall experience. Food and the casual outside dining were quite memorable. Service was a bit inconsistent but the friendly staff more than made up for it. The maitre'd was one of the most professional and unique that I have encountered. Great location.

Wonderful experience. We had dinner there. We got earlier than our appointment but we got a table. One recommendation, ask your hostess to smile more.... she looked annoyed all the time. The food was excellent, My husband ordered the Crisp duck confit with potstickers and the Alaskan halibut and I ordered the glazed pork belly and the red snapper veracruzana. The food combination was fantastic!! The noise level when we got there, around 8:30pm was loud but it got moderate later. Our server (don't remember his name) was very attentive.

Amazing food! Very classy, beautiful restaurant. Wine list is of course perfection, and specialty cocktails were delicious as well. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Beautiful interior as well as outside space. Would definitely come again!

Seafood dishes were outstanding. We were glad that we ordered the tasting menu, because between 2 ppl we were able to try many dishes. Waitstaffs are friendly and accommodating. Casual enough to have family dinner (we got 2 young children).

Our visit to Redd was disappointing and average at best. The food was all fine. The service was average to poor. The waiter seemed preoccupied and too busy too attend to us. He never even brought bread for the table or refilled our beverages. This was a disappointing experience. There are better places to visit in the area. I would not return.

I didn’t love Redd. I thought it was loud and the tables were too close together. We had someone who introduced himself as our server, but everything was brought out by different people and seemed disorganized. I wouldn’t go back.

REDD is worth making the trip to Stags Leap district as if the winery destinations aren’t enough. Excellent, unpretentious service, compared to other spots in the area and the food is second to none. Tasteful contemporary decor and seating indoors and a very pleasant protected outdoor patio seating area as well. Highly recommended!

The dinner was really splendid. Had the tasting menu, which I highly recommend. As a couple we had different dishes for the 5 courses which I had never experienced before but was great as we got to taste 10 different dishes. Very busy, so I advise to book a table in advance. Ambience was good but noisy because it was so busy. Service was impeccable. If you are in Napa I highly recommend this restaurant.

Some of the standout dishes - the risotto was incredible. I would love that as an entree. I had the scallops and they were probably the best I’ve had. Delicious! The service was stellar!!

My only issue is that the decor/ambiance is very stark - not sexy or special. Redd Wood has a very warm atmosphere. Redd is literally a white box. No decor, no music - detracts a little from the experience.

Food was great but absolutely appalling service from everyone from the host to the sommelier and the server. Couldn’t even believe it - especially as we got stuck in with the tasting menu. Would not recommend.

Would never pass up the opportunity to eat at Redd when in the Napa area. Food is amazing - would rate it high on the list for anywhere that the Open Table calls home. The wait staff make sure that it all works for the customer.

The food is excellent! The flavors so distinct! Huevos Rancheros were wonderful (only on sunday brunch) But the scallops are always fab ! Just wish they didn't charge a corkage! Us locals appreciate those that don't. Highly recommend Redd!

My friends and I did the tasting menu. Portions were well-sized. We liked that our tasting menus were slightly different, allowing us try sample off each others' plates. John was a great server!

We had an incredible lunch at Redds. We started with salads which were colorful and well dressed. The corn soup was divine, Rich and flavorful. Main entrees were, roasted chicken with vegetables and hoisin pork hum bow. Both were excellent. Service was spot on and I appreciated the knive skills the kitchen staff exhibited in every dish. Well done!
