Food was great - service was personable and on point - a great experience and we’ll definitely be back
Fabulous tasting menu. Top tier service.
Beautiful setting and delish food! So happy we found it while on vacation!
Great night!! It was all good service, food, wine just a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!!
Cheers
Fantastic!! We will go back. The food and the service we excellent
Looking forward to going back
Always love Redd and this time everything was even more delicious. Our waiter was outstanding as were the ones who brought out the food. We had a very good time with your friendly staff. 💕
Wonderful meal and great service!
Mixed bag. Been to Redd before and enjoyed so we went back. Underwhelmed. Some things were good, but nothing was great. One person had to send back his sole because it was so flavorless. The scallops he got after were much better though still not anything he raved about. With so many options in Napa Valley, will try other places before we return.
This is the worst review I have given Redd, our favorite Napa Valley restaurant. It would have been a 5 star review, but dessert was a disaster. The chocolate covered ice cream was frozen at a super cold temperature that made eating is a challenge. You needed a knife to cut it into small pieces, so they could warm up. Our water took no interest in discussing the dessert problem. He just walked away.
We will always return to Redd, but they need another new dessert chef, FAST!
The patio is a gorgeous setting in Yountville , the mood of things just right for a Sunday afternoon brunch. The food not as spectacular as usual.
Excellent Easter Sunday brunch at REDD. Food was amazing and service was fantastic.
We stopped in here at the recommendation of a friend. The mushroom risotto was absolutely divine. We enjoyed our meal so much (mainly that risotto) that we went back the next day.
Wonderful meal and great service. Lobster risotto appetizer was amazing as is the chicken and steak. Of course terrific wine list and attentive service. Eat outside if you can.
Dining staff was awesome and the food was great!
Anniversary
The food was disappointing to our surprise. The leg of lamb was good, but the Petrale sole did not seem like Petrale but an ordinary white fish and not that good. Likewise the lobster risotto was not as good we expected. Maybe just an off night but far short of what we have experienced before
Best food in America. Magic.
Wonderful atmosphere and knowledgeable staff.
Best waiter in years
Great food but our service was disappointing. We must have gotten a new employee who was not well trained because in the middle of wine country, we got a server who could tell us NOTHING about the wine list or the menu.
Been a favorite for a long time. Bringing friends and they were wowed.
Food and wine is divine and this is not an overstatement.
Amazing food and service as always, though a disruptive birthday party could have been admonished a bit more in my opinion.
Excellent food and wine. A bit pricy
fabulous tasting menu - enjoyed every course; loved the fact that each of us got a different dish with each course, so we shared them and got to taste twice as many dishes! the chocolate beignets were amazing.
Excellent food. The evening we were there we asked to be reseated because of a loud group. People having fun but to loud for us.
A lovely restaurant with great service and food. We had the pork belly, duck confit, scallops and beef which were excellent. Desserts didn’t live up to the other dishes - butterscotch was too sweet and panacotta didn’t have enough flavour of passion fruit
We experienced the Chef's tasting menu with wine pairing. What is so unique about Redd is each person can have different items. My vegetarian daughter was amazed by the selections she received while my husband and I had fish, both raw and cooked, duck, and lamb. The wine pairings were different for us as well. An unforgettable dining experience.
Good food. Great dessert!
Food was very good. Really liked the pork belly, scallops, and cookies & cream dessert. Would give the service 4/5 stars. Did not feel very personal and they did not acknowledge our anniversary even though I had called ahead to let them know.
Dined at Redd to celebrate my daughters’ birthdays. Our first time there and won’t be the last. The staff were friendly and attentive. Each of us selected a different fish entree and all were delicious! Definitely a memorable dining experience.
I heard such great things about Redd. So disappointed. First, made reservation on Open table a week prior and showed up to the restaurant and they told us we had no reservation. Should have taken that as a sign. Wine manager offered wines he liked verses understanding our tastes-wine wasn't "so good." Exception-Tuna Tartar was amazing!! Ordered duck and NY steak medium, both super rare. No apology or "make up" dessert." Lastly my birthday and no acknowledgement. Don't want singing but a scoop of ice cream with sprinkles, whip cream and a cherry might have been nice :-)
Been there before. Still outstanding. Service is really good, pacing was perfect and good was also very good. A real go to place in Yountville.
My husband and I celebrated our 13th anniversary at Redd and enjoyed the tasting menu with wine pairing. The portions for a tasting menu were larger than expected we definitely left feeling full. Each course that came out was better than the last and we loved the fact that there were different dishes for my husband and I each course so ultimately we tried close to 10 dishes. The wine pairing was fantastic with the tasting menu and the services was excellent and wait staff was very attentive. I will definitely eat at Redd again when we are in Yountville.
Wonderful date night!
Solid upscale food. Good service. Great wine. Typical Napa quality. Can’t quite justify the price tag of 150 per person as the dishes stop short of completely transcendent, but this is a very good restaurant.
I will be back again! Me and my date each had different tasting menus so we got to try so many dishes! Amazing experience, can't wait to go back!
The Tasting Menu is fantastic, Redd mixes up the plates served within each course so that instead of 5-7 courses you're getting 10-14 different dishes and it's casual enough to share them -- although when you do, remember to share the wines paired for each dish as well. The food and the service are impeccable and, as opposed to some of the stuffier rooms in yountville, Redd and the staff make the meal super fun for everyone involved. I would recommend Redd to anyone looking for a great meal, fantastic atmosphere and professional service that doesn't make anything too precious -- in the end, it's all about fun and the excellent food and wine.
Consistently good. Beautifully prepared and presented food with a creative twist. The scallops are one of my favorite dishes but everything I have tried is good. Highly recommend.
I have been coming here for years. Never have had a bad meal. This place is consistent. The hallmark of a great restaurant. Tasting menu is great. Wine list is exceptional.
We were seated 20 minutes past our reservation time. No menus were delivered to the table, nor did our waiter, David bother showing up to greet us for another 15 minutes. There seemed to be plenty of staff working that night where this should not have been the case. The waiter was rude, condescending and short with us. He complained about other restaurant patrons that night to us. We were celebrating my girlfriends birthday which we made clear in our reservation but there was no acknowledgement of the occasion until after I asked about it. The food was very good, as usual.
