The food was impeccable. Our choices were outstanding and I would highly recommend them. The pork belly was succulent with the chicory salad as starters. For dinner the roasted chicken was cooked perfectly. The Prime NY steak with short ribs and mushroom potatoe purée was outstanding. Of course dessert was in order, s’mores.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday and our anniversary with a 5 course tasting menu. It was a quiet, and unusually warm, Sunday evening. We took full advantage of their patio and sat near the fireplace. It was a perfect setting for a delicious meal. What my husband and I love most about their tasting menu is that they will serve us two different dishes for each course, so we always share and get to try 10 different things. This time I especially loved the duck confit d the tuna tartar. And as always, the service was warm and impeccable.

Wonderful dinner tonight, Redd did not miss a beat; with the fires surrounding this magical town in the middle of the wine country for the past 2 weeks, we were finally able to get back to our ‘home away from home’ and enjoy the ambiance and unparalleled food and service at one of our very favorite restaurants walking distance from our ‘happy place’!! Food was excellent, as it usually is, & John C. Provided us with service beyond compare! So very good to be back! ❤️

I can't recall the last time I received such poor service at a restaurant. My friends and I were wildly disappointed. I can't encourage enough people to stay away as while the food is great the service ruins the entire experience.

Amazing cuisine and great wine list providing ranging price options. We absolutely loved our experience at this restaurant. We did go to Redd Wood first since the navagitation auto-filled the name of the restaurant. However, Redd is only .5 mile away from Redd Wood and there is easy street parking around the restaurant. We will definitely be back!

Our second time to Redd. Both visits have been memorable!! This visit was our 48th wedding anniversary. We were treated like royalty by the entire staff!!!Pork belly and duck very very well prepared!! Dessert plate memorialized our anniversary evening!!! Thanks!!

Excellent, knowledgeable, and professional service that allowed us to take our time ordering and enjoy our last evening in Napa. The yellowfin tuna tartare was a wonderful creation of tastes and textures. The Alaskan halibut was one of the best preparations I have ever had. This restaurant will not disappoint!

We loved this restaurant two years ago and we will not be returning again. The SERVICE was awful! We got seated right away on Saturday night. The restaurant was not full but appeared to be short staffed. Our waiter started off by saying the appetizer special was amazing but there was only one left. We ended up getting the lobster appetizer and it was fabulous. But we saw a few more get served to other tables so it was hardly the LAST one. He also left off the fact that it was $58. We enjoyed it nonetheless. We also had a tomato and burrata salad, gnocchi, potstickers and lobster risotto for appetizers that were all good but not great. The entrees were all god but not fabulous. There was a large amount of time between the appetizers and entrees, bread was requested as were water refills and they never happened. We finally spoke with a possible manager with no apologies and the waiter was arrogant when we told him he vanished for the entire meal. Hire more waiters and treat the customers with the utmost respect!

My husband and I both got the tasting menu. To my surprise, we both got different food for each of the 5 courses. We got to taste a wide variety of food. The first two courses were seafood, the next were more heavy dark meat and the last was dessert. My husband said the squab was the best thing he had ever eaten.

Atmosphere was serene but not too quiet. Service was confident and understated. Good grasp of wine menu. Starters were to die for good! 3 of our 4 entrees were under-seasoned. Salt helped tremendously, but took a minute to get to the table. Otherwise food execution was excellent, fish cooked perfectly, etc. Desserts were also outstanding. Not a big butterscotch fan, but their version won me over. Would definitely return and recommend to friends.

Reed was a major disappointment. The first course I had was excellent. The following 4 courses were mediocre at best. My wife's dinner wasn't any better, some courses were okay but none really good. We had high expectations from prior visits some years ago, it is not comparable to what it was.

Staff not real welcoming at hostess stand upon arrival. Food and table service was excellent. A little pricey but very good food. Halibut was excellent. Very large loud group were in bar and it made it difficult to have a conversation in main dining room

First time getting the tasting menu, everything was outstanding and paired perfectly with the wine choices too. Will definitely recommend. I also really appreciate how they made the tasting menu perfect for a pescatarian as well as avid meat eater.

Was not super hungry so picked two items from the appetizer section, tuna tartar and the the hamachi collar with vermicelli noddle and veg salad. Both were excellent , the tuna tartar had the perfect balance of acidity, texture (crunch from the rice puff) and spiciness - really loved the little kick! The hamachi collar (fish) was tender and has a great flavor (simple preparation which is a test to the fish's freshness and it passed with flying color, and yes I am a seafood snob), the vermicelli salad (with shredded lettuce, cucumber, mint and peanuts) was so refreshing and reminds me of Vietnam, a great dish for a hot summer night! Paired my fish with Chardonnay from the region - crisp and mineral, perfect for my dishes and I had to ask for a second glass! Finished my meal strong with a butter scotch pudding topped with toffee and pretzel bits, what a treat!! Staff were super friendly, and the ambience is relaxed and quite. We opt for outdoor seating, the only thing that bugged me a little were the occasional flies...but I can't blame them for wanting delicious food...

Another wonderful meal. The food here is consistently delicious. Fresh, well prepared and interesting, The corn soup was great, both flavorful and rich. As always the chicken is perfectly prepared. Crispy skin, moist meat served on a bed of farro. The duck is another favorite and the serving size is quite generous. If there is any weak spot it is the desserts. They are good, but not to the caliber of the meals. But after large portions of rich and flavorful dinner, who needs dessert anyway? Our server was friendly, helpful and professional. Overall a great meal!!

Fabulous food and great dining service. My only complaint is the way the Hostess handled our arrival. She was on the phone and didn't bother to acknowledge our presence, no smile, no eye contact, nothing! Once she finally hung up she asked if we had reservation, I said we had one for 5:30 pm and for what she said "it's 5:27, you'll have to wait until 5:30" and went back to the phone...Whaaaat?
There was only one more couple in the restaurant (also waiting, I guess), visibly a full staff of servers and other employees anxiously waiting to do their job. This lady didn't even offer us to sit at the bar and have a drink or even make small conversation or explain to us why we had to wait for 5:30 (three more minutes) to be seated. Obviously I don't know their protocol as to how to handle reservations of patrons who show up three minutes early, but this was beyond ridiculous and very disappointing. If this is Management's "rules", I would suggest flexibility given the precise circumstances.

We had a couples dinner sitting at the bar and enjoyed talking to other guests as well as the bar tender. He fully explained the menu, which made our choices very easy. The food is great and the portions large. All items were cooked to perfection. This restaurant is highly rated and we will return our next visit.

Very good dinner and excellent attention to detail by the servers. Good size portions for a high end restaurant. Inside the restaurant where we ate, however, was extremely noisy -- so eating outside is a better bet for quieter meal if you can swing it.
