REDD is the first venture from acclaimed Northern California chef Richard Reddington. Redd reflects the passions of a serious chef who, after 15 years in some of the best kitchens in the United States and Europe, has found the perfect balance of serious food and unpretentious ambiance. "With Redd, I've created the type of restaurant that I like to spend time at--an inviting place that serves creative food and thoughtfully chosen wines in a relaxed, but elegant, contemporary space." Drawing from his classic French and Mediterranean sensibilities, chef Reddington has created a cuisine that combines flavors and textures that match well with local wines.


REDD’S menu showcases regionally inspired seasonal selections with ethnic influences. A daily 5 course chef’s tasting menu is also available in addition to the regular menu.

Good food with very minimalist interior. Surprised how plain it was inside for the type of cuisine that they serve. None the less it was a good experience. Highly recommended to us by friends so we tried it on Valentine’s Day. It was very tasty.

This is a world class Napa eatery that has been consistently excellent for years. I had a subpurb onion soup and the scallops. Marvelous. A "must" in the Napa Valley.

We stopped by Redd for Sunday brunch on our way out of Yountville after a quick weekend getaway. The service was excellent, and the food generally excellent (we had the smoked salmon, the Redd Lobster Roll, and the pork buns), with the exception of the pork buns. The pork was cooked perfectly, and the buns were obviously housemade, but the dish was slathered in hoisin that was far too salty to the point that it really overpowered everything else on the plate. I wish I'd gone with my first instinct to get the duck potstickers, but I was persuaded by our server's enthusiastic endorsement of the pork buns...

Food was great, service was very good. The duck was cooked a perfect medium rare and the lobster risotto had a very nice lobster taste and was cooked well.

Redd is a very dynamic restaurant. Our waiter David was very attentive and the service excellent. We started with teh sashimi of Hamachi which was great and then had the Carnaroli risotto with main lobster which was better than awesome. Finally we had the Duck which was as absolutely fantastic. Overall, this is definitely a restaurant you want to eat at after a day of wine tasting.

Not the friendliest hostess and waiters, but they did their job well. It was obvious that they were trained not to socialize much. Nevertheless, the food and ambiance was outstanding. I didn’t feel special but if you are just there for the food you can’t go wrong. Expensive but I’m getting used to that in this area.
