Since the 1st week ReddWood opened its been a favorite place to causally dine both for lunch as well as dinner. Great pizzas, exquisitely fresh salads, and I never seem to be able to pass up ordering the Cannolis for dessert.
On this occasion, the Little Gems salad almost had too much salt, perhaps just a little, but in the end it cleaned up ok. The lettuces and flavors were fresh and delicious.
Excellent service. Food was amazing! Will go back again
Great restaurant, very busy. Good service and great food.
What a great meal. Drinks from the bar were fantastic. I can’t remember what it was called but it had grey goose, st Germaine, and pear purée. The pizza was flawless. What really stood out was the ravioli. Wow! I could eat this every day the rest of my life. It was that good. Service was good. Do your self a favor if you are near Yountville, head to Redd Wood.
So good! Food was excellent, service could not have been better. Great experience.
Great customer service, organized crew, and excellent food.
The food was good, and the service was great. Nice décor, and style throughout the restaurant. All though the menu was not large, it did have a wide variety of options.
Good food, although not a lot of choices for non-meat eaters. Wine by glass prices off the charts high. Excellent service.
I love Yountville and Redd Wood is so lovely to stop and have a wonderful bite for lunch. Staff and accommodations are super!
Disappointing. The cheese on the pizza was hardly melted but the bottom was burnt. The cocktail had no flavor, and just tasted like watered down alcohol.
The food was overly salted. I had a pizza and my husband had a rib eye steak, his was way too salty too. I was disappointed and wouldn't venue back anytime soon.
Quite honestly, we were totally underwhelmed....actually felt pretty ripped off. We ordered the Caesar...$16 and could not have been smaller and less inspired. The pizza was good but certainly not special. Just seems like a place that is in to tapping the wallets of rich wine country patrons. We do not recommend nor will we return. Want value in Yountville? Go to Bistro Jeanty!
We had high expectations since we had a good experience at its sister restaurant Redd last year. Unfortunately that was not the case. The food was mediocre. The short rib was dry & not tender. The "spicy" pizza was overpriced & not spicy, despite the extra $ I was charged for more jalapenos. Of the 4 entrees, the bucatini was the best. The handmade pasta was perfectly al dente. Unless you've been to all the restaurant nearby, I'd skip this place.
A wonderful evening , fabulous food paired with excellent local wines . Was a great finale to our days spent in Yountville and Napa . Thank you!
They forgot to bring our leftovers back to our table, and we didn't remember until halfway to the car. Did not have a good table.
Upon arrival the front desk seemed to be overwhelmed. Our reservation was at 2 pm we arrived at 1:45 pm. We checked in and asked if we could be seated a few minutes early since we arrived early. There were approximately 3 tables that were not occupied upon us asking this question. We were told we could wait at the bar or outside and they would come to get us when they had something open. At 2:10 became irritated as now there were 5 tables open but no one had come for us. I walked in with my wife and said are you ready for us. The front desk girl looked surprised and I said our reservation was for 2 and it’s after that time and you did not come for us even though these tables have been open since 1:50 pm. She replied I am sorry I forgot about you guys.
I have eaten here probably 10 times in the past year and this by far was the first time I did not receive good service. I realize everyone has off days but I did appreciate they way the front desk girl handled us. To top it off I got an email from open table saying we did not make our reservation which was not true.
The food, as always, was wonderful. The waitstaff is very accommodating and professional and it is a wonderful atmosphere because the room is so striking and the experience is seamless.
We had a fantastic experience at Redd Wood.
Our waiter was excellent with good repartee and timing. The room was beautiful. Food and wine both delicious, refined and a grade above more common restaurants.
My wife and I quickly agreed that if we lived nearby, Reddwood would be our regular Friday night place. It's casual, vibrant and has really good food. We shared a pizza and a pasta dish following a bruschetta. After a hard day of driving up to the Anderson Valley to a winery, Reddwood was the perfect place to unwind and relax over good food and drink.
We had a late lunch with our dog out on the patio which is on the side of the restaurant that faces the hotel. Although January, the sun was out and the patio heaters were on so it was very comfortable and quiet. My husband and I split the chicken liver on toast as an appetizer. It was very rich and yummy. There are three large oval toasts spread thickly with the pate like chicken liver. We then split the large portion of chopped salad which was very fresh and crunchy, followed by the sausage pizza. The pizza had a nice crispy char on the bottom and was topped with gooey cheese and sausage. It was just the right size for the two of us. We don’t normally have dessert but were tempted by the basil ice cream. While the ice cream was refreshing and creamy, it did not taste at all of basil - just vanilla. Service was very attentive and friendly and our courses arrived in an orderly fashion. The only negative was the huge mark-up on the wine prices. We’d definitely go again but bring our own wine and pay the $20 corkage. Or have a beer from their nice selection.
