My Wife and I enjoyed the place. My first time; her first time since the remodel and (I believe) new ownership from a year ago. Good atmosphere. Pleasant decor. Regular musicians every Thu, Fri, & Sat, but they play quietly enough everyone can still enjoy their conversations. Sharp staff; two individuals recognized my Wife and I from serving us at other locations in the past.
the Food was delicious, the service was great and we really enjoyed the music😊
The onion soup tasted like beef gravy, inedible. Mussels, some good, some bad. None of the employees who came to our table asked how food was. And everything was slow in coming.
The white wine I purchased with wine card was not chilled. My dinner of Chicken Kiev was room temperature in many spots. Not hot or even warm. The chicken was tough. The appetizer of baked Brie was very good.
Awesome night great food service was great as well
We will be back
First time and really enjoyed the food
Love the food here ! Great local place.
Fabulous meal and great server. Loved it
a little slow out of the kitchen ... took a long time to get 1st course ... had the tomato and mozzarella salad ... very good ... the pork chop served on a bed of rice with peppers and onions was excellent ... very extensive wine selection ...
Excellent food and service. Intimate table just like we requested. Would highly recommend.
The ambiance was very romantic and contemporary.’ Really nice quiet live music. Service was excellent. We bought a wine card and enjoyed trying some different wines...very nice selections. I had a delicious kale Caesar salad and salmon as my entree. We’ll be back!
Love the food and the people, Thursday, Friday and Saturday they have live music!
Best ever to sit, sampling wines at fair prices, saying to yourself, “I always wanted to try that obe and oh, this one too!” Great chef from New Zealand continues to experiment with meshing West Coast cuisine with South Carolina favorites.
This our second time visiting the restaurant. We find the food creative and fresh. We enjoy trying the wines from the wine taste machines. The Chef’s choice bruschetta which had fresh vegetables, olives and balsamic glaze was our favorite part of the meal. We choose to try the starters and the salads as they are small portions which we like.
Most amazing food and wine
How does this restaurant get such high reviews? When we walked into Red we were very impressed, the decor and ambiance looked like it would be a fun evening. And I must say the food when we got it was very good. But the poor service (it took 2 1/2 hours to actually complete our dinner. It is a small restaurant so I have no idea why our dishes took so long. And most of them were cold?? I don't think I'll return here for awhile, maybe they need to straighten things out. With so many worthy restaurants in Blufton and HH island, I can be picky
By far the best dining experience in the region. Great food, wine and service. Do not pass up the opportunity to experience this one!
Everyone on staff and chef were very friendly. The salmon I had was delicious and the dessert with fresh whipped cream was great. There wine selection is great too.
Always enjoy, great local establishment. Owners very involved to keep up with ever changing food selections. A must for all your wine needs, vast selection, staff very educated. Ginger makes some of the best recommendations.
What a great place! The wine is served 3 ways: you can grab a bottle off the wall (7 minutes and your white is chilled), you can purchase by the glass or you can load a wine card with $. The card allows you to use the wine dispensers where you can choose a tasting amount, a small glass or large. They also have a charturie board appetizer where you can choose different cheese options. Loved the extra level of interest their model adds to a typical dinner date. Service is outstanding!
This is a wine boutique that has several wines on tap for do-it-yourself tasting in 2,4, or 6 oz pours. You can also shop their extensive inventory of bottles and purchase bottles or glasses of these. The food options are somewhat limited, but this is not necessarily a bad thing. What they do offer is well-prepared and presented. That said, the focus here seems to be on wine.
As usual, the service, the food, the wine and the atmosphere were excellent!
The food was fabulous, the service was good, not great, the wine is way over priced!
Excellent experienve overall. Service a little slow, which may have been intentional, and therefore food arrived cold. Would mention this next time. Fun for a group with wine tasting option. Recommend.
Sooooo good 😊. Loved everything we ate and drank.
We had a fabulous evening with a great wine selection, incredible food and the acoustic guitar music was super, not too loud that you could not have a conversation but also you could enjoy every 70's song!
We will make this a regular stop!

Excellent food, service, and ambiance!
Great evening service was very good food great atmosphere was good staff friendly and very helpful
We are definitely planning to return to this restaurant. We went on Valentine's Day and want to go again during a regular day to enjoy the fantastic selection of wines and they have a great looking selection of cheeses.
Food and service excellent. However , reserved a high top table due to my disability and none was available.
Great food and outstanding service!
Just dropped in for some wine and cheese with friends. Bought a wine card and used it to taste various wines from their wine dispensers. This is a great concept for tasting a lot of wines you wouldn't normally get to taste. Ordered some cheese plates and their baked brie to go with the wine. Had previously eaten full meals here from their dinner menu and it was great.
Somewhat pricey and limited selection, but food was excellent. Not an everyday restaurant.
One of our favorite restaurants. Small but excellent. Wine list is extensive plus available to buy by the glass at various levels. Chef is beyond belief.
Overall excellent! Special feature is the nitrogen powered collection of about 30 wines set up for sipping or drinking using an in house charge card! The chef visits each table weather for lunch or dinner to check on the meals. A giant bowl of mussels for $14 is outstanding!
It was absolutely Wonderful, it was our 6 year Anniversary I was there before on Lunch and fell in love with there food so I recommended it my boyfriend that we go there for our Anniversary
Ginger took very good care of us !!
The wine selection is great. Service is friendly. You can buy a card and taste a number of wines from their dispensers. Also, lots of wine by the bottle displayed on the wall. The special of the night was paella and it was outstanding. Will be back soon.
Very nice restaurant in the Dollar Tree strip mall. Quite small. Limited but very good menu. Chef came out and asked how everything was. Cool concept of wine tasting, though I just went with a glass instead of the $20 card where you can taste various wines! Loved the singer/guitarist. Not too loud. Played soft rock.
Loved the restaurant and the ambiance. Background entertainer was excellent. Food was very good. Lamb chops a little on the small side for $35. Hubby loved his short ribs and presentation. Will go back
This was a 1st time dining at The Red + had a great dinner.
There was a large selection of wine by the glass but we chose a bottle displayed on the racks on wall around the dining area. Most wines were unpriced but eventually was told the cost.
I had the seared shrimp + crab served in an avocado which was delicious.
My main course was the Scottish salmon over mushrooms + a grilled artichoke which was cooked perfectly.
Dessert was a bourbon pecan pie that was very large but great.
Didn’t realize it was for two but I’ll enjoy it for a few nights.
The chef, Heath Prosser spoke to us for awhile + was interesting to talk with.
The waitress were knowledgeable + friendly.
