The people Red attracted, they were the inspiration. The patrons of a wine boutique turned out to be people who were open to the finer experiences.

What a pleasure to fulfill their interests in fine food, good company and quality service. In rising to those requirements we found Red had become a restaurant, unique in its focus on the pleasure of an evening.

Wine was the starting point. Beyond the snobbery that once surrounded wine in America, Red let’s you explore, enjoy and fulfill your interest, your own way, using a serving instrument that’s unique to our region.

Please consider this your own invitation to join us for an evening soon.

This was a perfect choice for my 70th Birthday. I was a little nervous since this was located in a strip mall. It was perfect in every thing. I am Definitely going to return to this great restaurant

What a great find in a strange place. You don’t expect to find downtown dining in a strip mall but that is exactly what Red is, minus the booze. I could have been in a wine bar in any big city. No one was there when my husband and I arrived but by 7 it was filling up fast. You must have the seafood chowder. We will be back, often!

This is our third trip to this fine restaurant. First, it is a cozy and small setting. While it sits in a strip shopping center (Best Buy), once inside you are carried away with a nice ambience. The servings are the right size (smaller)for foodies to allow for multiple courses. We have had the chef’s choice bruschetta each time and enjoyed. Last night I had chefs special which was filet (6 oz) and a small serving of lobster thermador. It was good, especially the steak. The others in our party had the chicken Kiev, pork chop, and the Shrimp/crabmeat appetizer (as their main course). All said they enjoyed. Wine tasting is fun using the card, the wines are decent, not outstanding but a nice price point if you want to just have fun with it. Service was very good and Laura’s descriptions of the menu items are entertaining. Very Good live background music!

The concept of wine drinking is unique ; wine fountain for a $20 card you fill your glass 1, 3 or 6 oz of your choice; wine by glass or wine by bottle and you pick it up on the wall. The atmosphere is very cozy and warm, tables not too close so more private, and they offer a private room seating up to 8 people. The service was attentive and food very tasty and unique; and even though they had entertainment(Thurs. Fri. and Sat.) the noise level was tolerable.

I had a wonderful meal at Red. I ordered 2 of the specials and a red wine. I had the leek soup as a starter, and the trigger fish entree. The trigger fish came with a lobster sauce and veal tortellini. It was very, very good. The prices are on the higher end, so this is a special occasion type of restaurant for me. I would recommend this restaurant.

Reds is always a great choice!!! They have live dinner music every night and never overwhelmingly loud. The chef comes out to see if you enjoyed your meal and is always very personable along with the rest of the staff. This is a hidden gem in Bluffton. If it was closer to Palmetto Bluff and old-town Bluffton, it would be jammed pack all the time.
Consistently great food with great customer service is the key!

Went early for a Father's Day celebration. My husband said the escargot and lamb were the best he has had in a very long time, to include the years he spent in Paris. High praise from a gourmand who eats just about anything, but never forgets a BAD meal. Our server was super kind and accommodating. I was there with my daughter and a friend of hers both of whom have some special needs, our server was kind, patient, and professional.
I recommend this to anyone. It is not cheap, so we won't do this too often. But we will be back!

Great restaurant. Slightly understaffed. The wine dispensing machine looked great, but it did not work properly. The machine was a distraction for restaurant staff and diners trying to use the machine. Get rid of it.

The wine tasting process is unique and a very enjoyable process. You are given a card that is loaded with the dollar amount you pick. You can then go to the dispensing windows and select the wine you want to taste. You can chose between three different quantities. It’s a self directed wine tasting. To top it off the food is very good. Over all a 5 Star Experience.

We had never been here before and it was a great eat out experience.
The selection of wines by the glass is huge and they are for the most part bottles you haven’t heard of— but very good.
We recommend it highly.

The restaurant is a novelty because of the enomatic card that you purchase for various amounts. You can use the card for various ounces at at a wine dispenser. Insert the card, select the wine that is hooked up, & then select the ounces that you want. There were about 4 to try in each of the various “colors”, countrys etc. All those little tastings add up quickly. We bought one bottle that we liked, & even with the 20% “discount”, it was double the average price that I later found on -line!

Great atmosphere with lots of wine bottles & a private tasting room. The two servers were fabulous! We only had a filling app and the 4 cheeses plate (ok) so, we really can’t rate anything else. It was a fun thing to do—once!

My Wife and I enjoyed the place. My first time; her first time since the remodel and (I believe) new ownership from a year ago. Good atmosphere. Pleasant decor. Regular musicians every Thu, Fri, & Sat, but they play quietly enough everyone can still enjoy their conversations. Sharp staff; two individuals recognized my Wife and I from serving us at other locations in the past.

The onion soup tasted like beef gravy, inedible. Mussels, some good, some bad. None of the employees who came to our table asked how food was. And everything was slow in coming.

The white wine I purchased with wine card was not chilled. My dinner of Chicken Kiev was room temperature in many spots. Not hot or even warm. The chicken was tough. The appetizer of baked Brie was very good.

This our second time visiting the restaurant. We find the food creative and fresh. We enjoy trying the wines from the wine taste machines. The Chef’s choice bruschetta which had fresh vegetables, olives and balsamic glaze was our favorite part of the meal. We choose to try the starters and the salads as they are small portions which we like.

How does this restaurant get such high reviews? When we walked into Red we were very impressed, the decor and ambiance looked like it would be a fun evening. And I must say the food when we got it was very good. But the poor service (it took 2 1/2 hours to actually complete our dinner. It is a small restaurant so I have no idea why our dishes took so long. And most of them were cold?? I don't think I'll return here for awhile, maybe they need to straighten things out. With so many worthy restaurants in Blufton and HH island, I can be picky

What a great place! The wine is served 3 ways: you can grab a bottle off the wall (7 minutes and your white is chilled), you can purchase by the glass or you can load a wine card with $. The card allows you to use the wine dispensers where you can choose a tasting amount, a small glass or large. They also have a charturie board appetizer where you can choose different cheese options. Loved the extra level of interest their model adds to a typical dinner date. Service is outstanding!

This is a wine boutique that has several wines on tap for do-it-yourself tasting in 2,4, or 6 oz pours. You can also shop their extensive inventory of bottles and purchase bottles or glasses of these. The food options are somewhat limited, but this is not necessarily a bad thing. What they do offer is well-prepared and presented. That said, the focus here seems to be on wine.
