Prices doubled vs online menu prices. everyone was complaining that the bisque was $20 dollars.

The restaurant was busy as it was Valentine’s Day. My wife and I were seated in the bar area as the “red colored” other side of the restaurant was busy. The problem was that the room we were in next to the parking lot was a bit cold. The server was great and delivered our appetizer and drinks. When the main entree was brought to our table I noted that the plate was rather cool and not warm or hot. The filet mignon steak was barely warm as was the baked potato and the asparagus was also cool temp. My wife had a better experience with the salmon as it was warm and perfectly cooked. I do realize that the restraint was busy with about >200 reservations according to our server. So I am not sure I will come back for any special occasions... maybe when they are not so busy.

The place resembles old steak houses and the food is excellent.
This time, unfortunately they sit us on a table by the bar and non of the four of us could hear the other person. Very noisy...
The prime rib is a staple in their menu and worth to order. Crab legs very big and tasty

The restaurant was extremely noisy most of which was coming from the bar area. there was one table in the dining room where a woman was shouting obscenities. Even after I complained to the waitress no restaurant employee even approached her table to ask her calm down. The food was good but while I ordered a rib eye I got a strip steak instead.

Had to wait about 15 minutes beyond our reservation time. Went to bat to wait. $30 and 2 Manhattans later our table was ready. Sat in side room where they put kids and large groups. Hate that room!!!! Most times I specify to not sit us there. Oops!!! Dinner was very good as usual. Prime rib, Chilean sea bass, and a NY steak cooked perfectly. Courtney was our server. Very knowledgeable of menu and just a very nice server!!!! We’re locals. We’ll be back!!! We love Red Tractons!!!!

This place is probably a place for a selected few people who like to experience the 50' and eat massive dinners with thousands of calories... Not my cup of tea...

nothing like an old-fashioned steakhouse, replete with an excellent rendition of classic wedge salad, prime rib, and french fries. My girlfriend's chilean sea bass was delicious. Drinks were generous, waitress was charming, piano music an embellishment. Will gladly return.

Tractons is always good. Their menu is quite varied and interesting: something for everyone. One of these days I'm going to order their Sunday special, Southern Fried Chicken. We always do steak or prime rib and it never disappoints. They always cook it right. Atmosphere is horse-centric because they are across the street from the Del Mar Race Track. During the summer racing season you cannot get a reservation unless you call far ahead. The servers are always cheerful but I'm not sure why because they are always incredibly busy. They deserve to be grouchy once in a while but they never are. We always request seating in the dining room, never the bar, because the dining room is not as noisy as the bar. We have eaten in the bar and couldn't hear our table conversation at all. My only complaint is that they always seem to be "out of" my favorite bourbon, Blantons. I wish they would keep it in stock.

I have been going to Tractons for over 20 years. This was a special dinner with friends celebrating my retirement from the Police Department and our move out of state. Things have changed!!
Starting with the large gentleman at the front; never smiled or welcomed us. We ordered a large selection of appetizers, which were pretty good. We had our favorite, prime rib and lobster tail for the entree. Both were tough and lobster overcooked. Everything was "Market Price", so never had any idea what the bill would be, not a real concern, but way overpriced considering the quality.
I guess everything changes, but based on the growing number of "Quality" restaurants in the area, Tractons is now off my list. I hope management can bring it back to what it once was.
Very disappointed!!!

It was super fun! There were a couple of super drunk "bros" yell talking next to us for about :30minutes until they picked up on our discomfort and then hey quited down.

I had made a 530 reservation online with a confirmation. My male friend and I arrived on time in a very late model Bentley Flying Spur, if you dont know in the $225 range, I only mention it for the following, dressed appropriately for dinner and the crowd, we were seated in the bar, yes the bar, very loud, I quickly realized it was not worth dinner to sit in the bar, so I politely asked the Host if he might have a different table, he said if you had a reservation, I reminded him I did and he said yes then went on to help another patron. He eventually turned around and said I will help you in a minute, he first seated the other group, he then seated us in a side room with one other couple, we sat alone in a large room for most of our dinner, there was plenty of room in the main dinning. We waited and waited for a server, finally a sweet kind lady showed up and provided terrific service. i thought the food was good to great, not excellent, salad was warm, carrot cake was dry and old. The host clearly discriminated on us by seating us in out of the way tables, not wanting Gay men in the main dinning room. I almost Never leave a bad review even if the place is terrible. As long as the tall host with a serious braided pony tail is manning the front desk I wont be going back. Sad in todays world. You will likely get a much better dinner at Ruth's Chris.
