Steak was fabulous as well as the sides. Can’t wait to go back on our next trip to Miami!
This place is fantastic! Never disappoints us and they are terrific with food allergies. Our favorite steak house!
My friend birthday
No matter what other restaurant we try in Miami, Red is absolutely our FAVORITE restaurant! The food is out of this world every visit, and the service is fabulous! Chef Vauthy and his team are PERFECTION!
I'm giving it a one because the filet was good. The service is appalling. I've been to many steakhouses and I've never encountered service like the one here. Quality meats & meat market have way better service and attentive. I'm just disappointed that I came here for my boyfriends birthday and we never felt more discriminated against. Did we not spend enough money for you? 200 + isn't good enough here apparently. By the time she came to check on us we were done eating. The table in front of us full of males buying wine bottles got checked on right away and water refilled constantly. We never got more water. Go anywhere but here in Miami. Go to Tampa to Berns - best experience. Or even Keens in NYC. I never felt discriminated. Sad I brought my boyfriend here for a good night. I couldn't even get him a dessert, because he didn't want to have to wait any longer. Avoid this place.
She also didn't have the decency to bring us the check herself. I'm sure she will know who she is now.
Tasty food ! Great service ... Eveythinf was nice
I gave things a 2 star rating because the manager did try and make things better at the end. It being a valentines dinner made things more critical.
After two hours of waiting for our food, we received two ice cold steaks. When we asked our waiter to resolve it. He told me the chef yelled at him for bringing it back and returned with 2 oz of a 14 oz steak.
We left without eating
I would never spend another Valentine’s Day at this restaurant. The server gave a poor customer service.
Don’t get during Valentine’s Day. They had small cheap tables and horrible chairs. For the amount of money the restaurant charges I expect high level service and experience. Valet was a joke. Food was ok. Got the most expensive steak on the menu, don’t feel it was worth it.
Being Valentines Day it seemed like the restaurant was configured like a cattle car, just pack as many people as you can into the space. It wasn’t relaxing at all, my medium well fillet was dry, overall not a good experience at all. Seemed like it was all about maximizing sales, cram people in and run them back out.
Went for Valentine’s Day dinner. Tried the Rib Eye, appetizer and a pasta. Had two drinks. Bill was over $200. The waiter never refilled our waters the entire night. I ended drinking my dates water. Lol. For a fancy restaurant I would expect at least a water refill. Especially after automatically charging the 20% tip. But life is hard what can you do?
Everything was great except for the very unstable plastic chairs they sat us in. Felt like they were going to fall apart with any slight movement.
I have to be honest, I was recommended to Red and was dissatisfied. I understand that this restaurant is located on Miami Beach but the boogie and more better then other attitude really bothered me.
I recall a waitress showing a group of six the King Crab that was offered on the menu. I kindly ask my waitress to have her come by and show it to me. The other waitress just ignored my waitress request after looking over at my wife and I.
The food was not up to the rating. The decor was okay. I just been to better restaurants that treat you better.
Poor service overall
Overall was good, but when you compare this restaurant to the ones of the same class it come out short. Restaurants like Capital Grille, Michael Mina, Devon, Chef Adrianne, Charlys Steakhouse, etc, they come on top by far.
Very very disappointed!! First off they sat us in the bar area, even though the restaurant was empty with the bartender as our waitress. She was busy behind the bar and you could tell she was not an experienced waitress the professionalism was just not there. Definitely more a bar personality.
We decided to order the best of the best steak on the menu because we are frequent steakhouse goers. We ordered medium rare. It came out so rare we had to send it back. The waitress instantly blamed us for not wanting the back to cut the steak for us. It came back and still was raw while the ends were well done. Once again we complained and she said it was because the steak was so big. First of they are supposed to be a high end steak house, if they do not know how to cook a steak they are charging $200 for then they should close their doors. They offered nothing for having to send back the steak 2 times! When paying that kind of money I expect top notch service.
Will never return! Don’t waste your time.
We had an amazing waitress, she knew the menu and wine list in great detail and guided us to the right choices based on our taste. We had our sleeping daughter with us and she found us a suitable table right away. She balanced the level of engagement with letting us have our evening just right. Food wise: starters were great (tartare and Crabcake), with regards to the main course: the ribeye was great, the filet minion with the bone was not as good as the normal filet minion in my view. Sides were fine, but Can probably do with some work considering the price level.
Overall: a great evening, especially with the superb service. Prices are slightly high for what you get food wise (ita not a quantity issue, but rather quality)
It was an overall amazing experience staff was amazing attentive and very knowledgeable about Menu, they catered to us even off menu items will recommend for everyone.
Finest steak I ever had. Would recommend the bone in filet.
Great Experience, Great steaks, Great folks, interesting wine list (50% off on Wednesdays, even better!) ... highly recommended
Very expensive, but overall great experience
BEST quality everything! Sexiest Steakhouse and I've been to many....
I'll be honest, I am a big fan of red the steakhouse. Our aps were on point with the Kobe sampler and Massachusetts Oysters but unfortunately the entrees fell short. my tomahawk ribeye was tasteless, the mac & cheese my daughter and her friend ordered was as well. I am not sure how their Filet Mignon was. My wife did enjoy her filet of sole. Ive eaten at Reds enough to know hopefully from previous experiences that is was just a bad night and my cut was a bit leaner then most ribeye's I would want to eat, the fatter the better for that steak IMO. To bad I got a cut that was on a diet.
Love it! New fav place
The steak was truly one of the best I had in a long time and we definitely will be back. The hostess was very friendly and easy going, our server/back server was on top of things, competent and friendly. The wine list is extensive but only very few choices under $100 are available.
The only negative aspect of our experience was the bartender. She was super low energy, barely a smile, took very long to come back for us to order a beverage for the person who did not know right away what he wanted. Overall she totally did not seem into it. We actually told the host we were going to eat at the bar but changed our mind after our interaction with her.
The servers were very friendly and informative. The food took a bit longer than expected (the restaurant was a bit empty) but everything we had was pretty good. We ordered our steaks medium-well but they came out more medium. Like I said everything was good but nothing was "amazing". We had a bottle of champagne, 1 appetizer, 2 steaks and 2 sides and the bill came up to a little over $300.00
excellent food, very good service, if i stay in Miami again, i will come back
Food was not worth $$
We went there for my brother’s birthday and the staff really went out of their way to make it a great celebration. I’ll come back again.
Our go to place in South Beach, top in the area for steak, bar none, menu has great variety, notables include the stuffed peppers, steak, and veal parmigiana. Great atmosphere in the dining area and bar seating. Always great service if you eat at the bar, bartenders are very attentive to your needs and their service should be commended. Well worth stopping by, steaks are considered best in the south of fifth area and without the "hassles" of some of the other high end restaurants in the area.
Food and ambiance was AMAZING! Service was great. This is perfect for date night or a girls night out. DEF would do it again!!!
We went for new year's Eve dinner and the only option was the preset menu. It was very extensive with alot more options than most preset menus. The steaks were amazing although one of them was a little over cooked but they accommodated a fix. Overall a perfect spot for NYE and I'll be back for everyday dining.
The place is nice and the food is good but the restaurant really failed in the service.
Probably some servers failed to work and this was the New years Eve dinner.
To add insult to injury a 20% service charge was compulsory added to the check.
Shame on the restaurant
Last dinner of 2018, New Years Eve. Food was great the lobster was huge as promised however the filet mignon looked a lot smaller than the 8 ounces advertised on the menu. Our waitress was friendly but made a few mistakes that made us question if she was new or just have a bad night. First she did fix our wobbly table but accidentally spilled water on my fiancée’s foot, ordered a dozen oysters when I only asked for half, dropped a beer bottle and misquoted a few items that were labeled “market price”. In the end she balanced it out with an espresso for no charge but it wasn’t a normal night as expected. I’ve been to Miami Beach before and have noticed that the automatic 20% gratuity added to each bill results in poor and slow service when compared to other cities. In the end the food prevailed so I would visit this place again just for the food.
Steaks not the Price worthy, had better elsewhere... ☹️
Even though it was New Year's Eve, the food, service and overall ambience was fantastic. The server was particularly attentive. My granddaughter said it was the best steak she ever ate, and her father is a chef!
We drove 9 hours to eat again at Red the Steak House. It’s that good. Plan to go to Cleveland to see the Mother House.
Overall the food and service was GREAT!! Would dine there again.
Traditional steakhouse. Buratta was wonderful. Truffle mashed potatoes were yummy. Try the trio dessert. You will not be disappointed.
Excellent food and service
