A Perfect Date Night - the staff was so welcoming and the food was excellent as always!
7th wedding anniversary. Food was incredible as always. Staff was great too!
As always, Red never disappoints. The delicious food along with our incredible server (Jim Sweeney) made my birthday absolutely perfect!
Dinner was very nice. We ordered prime steaks and they were amazing!!! We had mushrooms, seafood mac n cheese, Brussels sprouts, garlic mashed potatoes and desert was the donut holes of course. Everything was very good! They also had a great wine selection. I normally don’t drink wine but it was so good I indulged. We took two couples with us and it was their first time there. They were really impressed! Wonderful night!
The menu was impressive. Service was top-notch. A plus
This experience at Red was so disappointing. It was my husband and I’s wedding day. We arrived a few minutes early for our 7:30 reservation. We were told that the table that would be ours was tabbed out but the guests were still sitting there. The hostess said we should go to the bar because it could “be awhile.” We went to the bar and got a round of drinks and waited. Around 8, the hostess said the guests still were there and all she could offer us is a table right next to the lobby in the bar area. Typically, I wouldn’t be upset by this but as it was our wedding day, wedding night dinner: it was so upsetting. The table is the worst table in Red. Right next to the lobby: there were people waiting, a stroller, etc right next to our table. Literally not even a foot from our table. It didn’t seem COVID safe either to be that close to others waiting in the lobby. We had our masks off as we were eating and drinking. It wasn’t quiet or romantic it was like we were eating in the lobby. The hostesses at Red knew it was our wedding day as it was part of our reservation information and to be treated like this on such a important day for us was disrespectful and upsetting. This was our wedding dinner and we picked our hotel the Hyatt at the Arcade based on the proximity and ability to walk to Red the restaurant. Our drinks at the bar were not covered and no one seemed to care that we were being treated like this. It was like we were expected to just be okay with it. When family and friends asked our wedding dinner was they were appalled to hear how the situation was handled. Really hoping this review helps others in the future to not be treated as we were on 10/10/20.
Great Restaurant Leah our server did a great job! Loved the steaks
Wonderful experience! Food was amazing and service was spot on as usual !
Looking forward to going back in November to celebrate my birthday!!
10 year anniversary!
Food was delicious atmosphere very nice food very pricey but worth every penny
Mgt refused to accept my Cleveland Independents certificate.
Gave some lame excuse that the restaurant is no longer affiliated.
Put me in a bad & embarrassing situation.
Not customer service oriented.
I hate this place because of his action.
He could have handled this differently.
The waitress was very rude, unprofessional and stand offish. She also took an extra $10 tip that was charged fo my card. She received $318 on cash and was supposed to charge the card the remaining $201, instead it was charged $211.
Red Downtown was delicious! The food was really good. The service and ambiance were not bad but nothing to rave about. We started with red wine (nice selection). For food, we started with the tuna tartar (which was very nice and fresh) and shrimp cocktail. Both delicious. For our meals, we had salmon and lobster risotto. I got the salmon medium well and it was overcooked. For sides, we got the fingerling potatoes which were AMAZING. Also, green beans and mushrooms/onions. All of the sides were stellar. It was my birthday so they came out with donut holes which were yummy. All around great dinner.
Awesome service and friendly environment. Glad we came.
It was my husband’s birthday and it was a wonderful way to celebrate. The server surprised us with warm powdered donuts with dipping sauces and they were absolutely delicious! Thank you for such a great evening!
It was our 5 Year Anniversary and its a quiet place and we had a really nice table. Our waitress was awesome and the food was amazing. Only down side is sides are not included with your entree so thats extra but the sides feed 2-3 people so you get your moneys worth. Would recommend and will be going again.
Everything was wonderful as always. Thank you so much!
The food was excellent! They had lots of specials too.
Show up only then to find out that the Terrace is closed due to understaffing
Service was horrible and food is overpriced. Many better steak houses in Cleveland for the money. Will not be back.
The food is excellent. The downstairs is much more energetic and the ambience better than upstairs. The food is really good. The service is great
A special place to celebrate and enjoy amazing food. Expensive but not disappointing.
Service was very good, our waiter was very pleasant.
Fresh Crab, fresh Halibut, both incredible.
Would have liked a few special dessert options, good choice, but nothing seasonal or special.
We were so excited to try Red because we had heard great reviews and we left disappointed. The service was fantastic! But I was surprised that my filet was overcooked and the sides were just okay. For the cost I expected much more. We were on the 2nd floor and the ambience was okay. I did not like the background music they played.
Service was excellent. The food was good. This is terrible to say, but it’s been so long since I ate out at an upscale steak house I really don’t have anything to compare it too. The by the glass wine list was full of wines I was unfamiliar with and unable to verify vintage and quality. When charging $14-40 a glass, I like to know what I’m getting. But that’s just me.
RED never disappoints.
Food / service / ambiance.
Barb takes care of us every time as I request her.
She is the best. Always a good time at RED.
It was my friends first time and my second and it was great food. The t bones were great and the whipped potatoes.
Awesome service. Best steak in Cleveland.
Red is like an Ikea version of a steakhouse, it was like some guys just had some space downtown and leftover mid range building materials you can buy at home depot and threw place together. There is no atmosphere, seating (literally the chairs) are cheap and not comfortable, I could not get over all the cheapness of everything around. You would think at a $100 a plate dinner you would get some authenticity or some distinct, environment, it literally looks like one or my rentals I just threw together to get people in there as fast as possible. The server I had didnt have the professionalism or class to be serving at olive garden. I dont know if something has happened in the high end service industry in the past few years or where they are getting these people but this guy would have been a great bartender to have at chilis but not at a steakhouse. It was a very strange experience and im not sure where all of the good reviews came from. The food was about 30% overpriced and when coupled with the ambiance and environment I would say to contribute to this kind of thing. The lady upstairs couldnt understand why I didnt want to eat in a conference room all she had to say was "covid". Sure I could accept that as an excuse if the rest of the experience wasnt what it was. Im giving 2 stars for the food but at this price look elsewhere if you seek a nice environment, most overhyped place ive ever been too. Maybe train your serving staff a bit better and to not speak with their hands and speak in a "dude" like manner. It almost seems like they built it with the intent of "if it fails at least we didnt spend a lot on renovations".
Would not recommend.
Amazing food!! Our waiter Mark was awesome 😊
Great overall experience !
Our server was terrible. She took over 20 mins for our first round of drinks. And would say she was coming right back and would take her another 20+ to return. We were also set up in a party room due to social distancing so the ambiance was awful. When paying the same amount for food and drinks and being put up in a party room would hope some type of compensation would be given, dessert, drinks, anything.
Excellent steak and sides. Service was also outstanding. Felt completely safe while in the restaurant.
Our favorite steakhouse - never disappoints! Food was delicious and the service excellent. Great place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary.
Great service. Food was very good. Nice wine selection too!
Best steakhouse in Cleveland and maybe worldwide!
Great experience. Food was perfect. Our server, Nicole, was great and took care of our every need. Couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. Great way to celebrate my wife’s birthday.
Service was great.
Steak was a bit salty same with the green beans.
Steak was cooked perfect.
Desert was not good (peach crisp).
We came here for dinner to celebrate our friends birthday. The service was ok. I was over charged for my meal. I ordered the Gulf Shrimp appetizer but received the shrimp dinner instead. I did not know this until the next day. Since we had a group of 6, the bill had a 20% gratuity previously added and we were not allowed to split the bill. Since it was “closing time”, I paid the bill and figured out the split among our group later. As I was splitting up the bill, I saw the charge for the wrong item. It was more than twice what I thought I was paying. The shrimp was also not edible. Several of our dishes were extra salty. Our server never asked how the food was or I would have spoken up. This is my second bad experience at Red. I will not be returning.
