We started out rough: our 81 year old mom was with us, and the hostess led us up a huge, steep staircase. Mom struggled but made it to the top, which is when we saw there was an elevator! We were seated in a generic banquet room with bright lights and loud large groups. Luckily, our server and the food were exceptional, so the evening was an overall success. If we go again, I will asked to be seated IN the restaurant.

I was pretty disappointed with the red steakhouse. It was our anniversary. I let OpenTable know and my husband told the hostess that it was our anniversary. No one wished us happy anniversary. We didn’t get an anniversary treat at the end of our meal are potatoes we had to send back twice and my steak was over cooked. I did not feel like I got the value of the $275 I spent I won’t be returning to red steakhouse downtown. I did not make my anniversary special.

We reserved an early table for dinner to be able to take our time and still make our show in playhouse Square. We had the place to ourselves, even on a Friday! Our server was a delight. She was very attentive but intrusive, knew the menu very, very well, and was suggestive and not pushy. The steaks were PERFECT! The hot and dirty martini... we make that at home now because it was just that darned good! Oh, the only suggestion is on the dessert selection. I ordered the Mexican smore. It was not great at all. The chef might consider adding a more traditional chocolate dessert option.

Delicious cocktails, salad, bread, steak, mushrooms & onions, potatoes, and anniversary donut holes with toppings! (Good thing they also have doggie bags!) Be sure to come with an empty stomach!

Business dinner before baseball game. Steaks cooked perfectly, they heavily season their steaks but good flavor. Creamed corn and potatoes au gratin were excellent. Calamari was very good and a huge portion size. Short walk to Progressive Field for the game and I will dine here again.

Making a reservation was easy and fast. We arrived about 5 minutes early and was seated right away and greeted at our table by our server, Mark. He was wonderful throughout the entire evening. The food was beyond delicious! My wife who is always the skeptic was thoroughly delighted and the only way my steak could have been any better was if someone else was buying.

When we asked our server to split our bill between two couple he said he couldn’t do it post pandemic. Which I know is not the case as we didn’t it less than a month ago. Otherwise all else was fine.

We had a delicious dinner at Red for my boyfriend’s birthday! The waitress was very attentive and pleasant. It was a little noisy in the dining room but there were a few groups there so that made it louder. They had some unique specialty cocktails and a good wine selection. The menu is pricey but the food was high quality so definitely worth it.

The food for our dinner was excellent. We truly enjoyed the salad and the entrees. The significant issue had to do with the time it took to get our meals. We had a 5:30 reservation in order to give us time to get to Playhouse Square for a 7:30 show. We made the waitress aware of this. The drinks and salad came out promptly but, unfortunately, we did not receive our entrees until 6:50. We had to eat quickly so we could make the 20-minute walk to Playhouse Square. Not the fine dining experience we expected. To the staff's credit they did comp part of our meal for the poor service.

Food was great. Ribeye seasoned and cooked to perfection. Spaghetti and meatballs were very tasty. Salmon was yummy. The Caesar salad started our meal off right. Would def recommend!

The only reason for not providing all stars, was due to the fact the we were seated in an upstairs room that was very bright. Zero steakhouse ambiance. In fact we had to ask to turn down the lights. We were put in a room that probably hosts private dinners. Aside from that, steak was amazing! Service was excellent! Just disappointed where they sat us. If ever back in Cleveland, I would make sure to be seated in the restaurant.

As the secretary to the CEO, I booked a table for him and a director of our board. They both told me that the food and service was the best! They commented twice on how delicious the food was. I will be booking more dinners and gatherings at Red, the Steakhouse in the near future.

The food was outstanding, one of the best steaks I've ever had. The only thing that was a little strange was that people were really casually dressed. Lots of people in Cleveland Indians jerseys, hats on while inside the restaurant and shorts. My party all had suits on, and thought everyone else would also. No big deal - just a surprise. Overall the food was excellent and we really enjoyed ourselves. 5 stars for everything.
