Everything was on Point!
the food was outstanding and was prepared at a high level. It is $$ but worth it for the taste, ambiance , and service. Steak high quality and muchrooms and onions with whipped potatoes delicious.
I would go back for sure.
Dinner was good except for my wife's steak. She ordered it medium well and it was more on the rare side. When she sent it back, it came out burnt and like charcoal. We have eaten here many times and never had a problem so I think it was an isolated incident. The manager took care of us given the one bad steak. We will go back!
I would recommend not to go for a Holiday to crowded had a wait time even with reservations 30 minutes more kitchen was backed up that made the cooks rush which I think made the food not as good. I have been to the one downtown Cleveland for lunch and it was perfect great food great service but the one in Beachwood just was not up to par especially during a holiday. This was for our anniversary that is celebrated for a Valentines weekend we went on February 9, 2019.
Maybe the restaurant was having a bad night or maybe its just this location. We had reservations and it took almost 45 minutes to seat us. When we first arrived we were told our table was being cleaned. We agreed to let the host take us over to Moxie to wait she said she would call or text me, I never received a call or text. We grabbed a table at Moxie after 15 minutes we never got any service at Moxie so we went back to Red to check on our table. We were told the kitchen was slow tonight. Two hours after the time for our reservation we were eating dinner.
The restaurant is small
Steaks were outstanding, service great, sides mediocre.
Red is a relatively subdued atmosphere, with subdued lighting, a nice (better than nice!) bar, and experienced and attentive staff. I've had only one experience where there were issues with my entree, a ribeye. Caveat - I don't recall getting a ribeye anywhere else that measured up to a filet. In Cleveland, Red and Cabin Club are top-of- the-line for me, Red having the edge- even considering the long drive from where I live west of Cleveland.
Excellent food and service. I got a prime ny strip. They did a very nice job cooking it Pittsburgh style. I’ve tried this at a few high end steakhouses that couldn’t pull off a Pittsburgh steak - usually would overlook it. My strip was rare inside with a nice CHARRED crust. My wife had a nicely prepared filet. The sides were well done also. Red is pricey, as are all high end steakhouses. All items are ala carte. The only complaint was the bread offering was very subpar.
Items not offered anymore but still on menu. Slightly over priced for quality
We have enjoyed dining at Red over the last years for special occasions . We had a wonderful dinner , with attentive service. My CAB prime ribeye (which is my favorite) was over seasoned with salt, I couldn’t eat it. The meat was cooked perfectly and was so tender, my first bite I thought that maybe it was just on that area. With another bite, it was disappointing as it was the same! The waitress made it right by taking it off the bill, and then said the “steaks are very well seasoned.“ ah well
our service was excellent. She was attentive and made nice recommendations. However, Our table location left something to be desired. We were 4 at the table and were seated closest to the door and our table was pushed up against the side wall. So besides it being cold and drafty which was notable every time customers entered/left, the room and space of the table was tight since 2 of us were up against the wall with limited elbow room. beside us was a 2 top table seated too close making private conversations difficult as well as awkward transitioning to get in/out from table. Feel the tables there could have easily been spread further apart for more comfortable seating especially when paying a nice dollar.
Not that it is our server's fault, but we were there for a birthday celebration, so i think it a nice touch that the donuts are served and presented in such a lovely fashion but we also ordered another dessert that was dropped before they delivered it to us and sadly it took another 20 minutes for it too arrive which at the point, we were just anxious to leave and felt the dessert should have been comped. overall I love Red's and we go here often for special celebrations and know we will spend a hefty amount but feel this last visit the seating was unfortunate and disappointing and dessert presentation since it was for my son's birthday was disappointing as well. that said, again our server was lovely and more than professional and meal is always delicious.
Family dinner to celebrate our sons 16th Birthday. Our server was impeccable, knowledgeable, attentive and pleasant. The food delicious. Great meal.
We have been here various times, usually for special occasions. Today we used a gift card. I always avoided ordering the boneless rib eye because I assumed it would not taste at all like one with a bone. I should have stayed with my intuition and ordered the filet. The rib eye was perfect medium rare but, chewy and not flavorful for a steak of this price. My spouses filet was perfect.
Service was horrible. 2 people should not take 2 hours to get their meal. Appetizers were slow to come out. Sat with an empty table almost the entire night. Couldn’t get drink refills. Waited 25 mins between finishing appetizers to get our main course. Our waitress seemed more concerned about the 6 top and 4 top that she had then our measly 2 top. I watched as the hostesses on 3 different occasions had to deliver food to other tables because the server was MIA. The food was great but the service sucked. As we were leaving the manager asked if everything was ok. We told her we were not happy. The Manager said she would call me the next day. Well as of writing this review it’s been 2 days and still no call. I’m very sorry but for the cost of the menu there is a certain level of service you are paying for as well. Unfortunately this location didn’t do a very good job. This was on a Monday night can you imagine what the weekend must be like?
Best Steaks, wine, and service around! Highly recommended!
I wanted to grab a big chunk of steak and feel like i was pregnant as i left the establishment. Mission accomplished. Almost had to be rolled out. I’m one happy Buddha statue.
1 of the best location I ever been
Food and atmosphere was excellent. I will not hesitate with scheduling a future meeting at this venue.
Service was not all that still don't know her name
Dinner excellent. Service outstanding. Our server Joan was knowledgeable and attentive. She was a true professional. Love!
Had dinner at Red for my wives birthday with a group of friends. Had a nice secluded table in the lounge area which was perfect for our group. All the food and beverages were fantastic as was the service. Our server even brought a birthday dessert for our table to share which was awesome and on the house!!
We had a awesome meal and dining experience. Christine was our server and she was spot on with her attention to our meal and also giving us our space to enjoy our night together. The restaurant was not noisy so all were able to enjoy the conversations with their tables. The food was a five star meal and could not have been prepared any better. We will be back !
Superb service and food! Our server was exceptional. I hope they don’t move as current location is great!
Mozzarella salad was ok, tomato was overripe. Ribeye was undercooked and riddled with fat and gristle. Barely edible. But my companion was thrilled, especially with the birthday presentation.
I loved almost everything about our visit to RED. My only complaint is the row of 2 top tables where you end up sitting right next to another couple on their date - I understand why restaurants do this but I hate it, no matter what type of restaurant it is. That table aside, we enjoyed a delicious meal and the service was outstanding. We will be back.
Awesome as always!
Steaks were average. Wine list was average. Sides were great. Service was great. Pricey for quality of steak. For a steak, we will go elsewhere.
Fabulous food, excellent service. Couldn’t have been better !!
Great steaks. Sea bass special was especially good too. Nice atmosphere even in bar.
Everything was amazing everything was so clean and waitress was awesome
Very good food, great menu selection. Service was outstanding.
We were 2 for 3 on our steaks. 2 were excellent 1 had to be sent back twice because it was rare
Great time on New Years Eve! Staff was incredible! Did not feel rushed even though it was a holiday! Nice ambiance. Great food!
The food was fantastic as always.
Food was great as always.
However noise level was very high the ambiance.
Very good place to eat. Food was excellent and cooked just the way we liked. The waitress and other staff were very friendly and did a good job. The only complaints is that they need a bigger sign out front or near the street. We were unable to find the restaurant and had to call to find out if we were in the right place. Also, they forgot my add on lobster tail but comped it without us even asking which was very nice. Overall, great steak place!
We went to Red for the first time this New Years Eve! The food was absolutely amazing and portions were perfect! There was a wide variety of wine selections but not so much for cocktails. We were very disappointed in the seating, tables are extremely close together and the waitresses/servers are squeezing to fit between the tables which is very distracting.
Was there on New Years Eve and everything was exceptional as always. Our server was attentive and warm. You can never go wrong eating at Red!
