This was our first visit to Red Shoe and we’ll definitely be back. The beef stroganoff was delicious as was the fish of the day (grouper). The wine menu had a nice variety of offerings and price points. The service was terrific and the atmosphere was very nice. It was definitely one of the nicer dining experiences that we had during our ten day stay!

Best meal we had in Key West and on the short list for all-time. We both had the fish of the day: a grouper steak pan seared in delicious lobster sauce and served over arepa (cheesy polenta). Perfectly done and the lobster sauce - arepa - grouper complemented each other brilliantly. We started with the Shrimp Mango Toast and finished with key lime pie; both also terrific. Service was superb and the owner even served us our wine and chatted about the history of the bistro.

After reading wonderful reviews found both food and space extremely disappointing. Having sampled three appetizers and two entrees, dinner here was simply just not good, a frustration particularly given the number of excellent restaurants in the area. Seldom post reviews on OT and do this only with the hope that it saves others from a similar experience.

We really enjoyed our meal at the Red Shoe Island Bistro. The Caprese salad was divine as was the scallops and the Yellowtail snapper. Our server Todd was knowledgeable and pleasant. We will visit here again!

Love, love, love this spot!! The service was incredible, the food unmatchable. We had the two dishes they are known for - the deviled eggs with seared scallops and lobster sauce and the yellowtail - as well as the fish of the day. I don’t think I’ve had such good food in a while. Seriously delicious. We also had the ice wine - perfect way to end a perfect meal. This is a spot that is not to be missed!!

This is our second time eating here. We found Red Shoes on our visit two years ago. I got the Yellowtail Snapper (their signature dish) & it was delicious! The sauce on top wasn’t too heavy nor too light; a perfect complement to the flaky, tender fish. My husband had the Pink Shrimp special and it, too, had an amazing flavor! Both dishes were served with perfectly cooked risotto. Ambiance is quaint and though it’s a small restaurant, it wasn’t too hard to hear one another talk. We will be back again on our next visit!

We went to the Red Shoe Bistro last night on the recommendation of a friend and all the great reviews We had a 6pm reservation and were seated right away The waitress was friendly and gave us great recommendations The owner brought over our drinks and talked with us for awhile as he did with all the tables The food and service was great If you go you have to get the mango shrimp toast! It was a great experience and we will be back the on our next trip!

Certainly one of Key West's top three restaurants The food, service, atmosphere, etc. were all solid five-star quality. If I could knock it down a bit for a good but not stellar wine list I would. There are a couple wines that paired well with their food available by the bottle; fewer by the glass.

Great place. The menu was limited but the food was excellent. My wife had the fish of the day and I had the stroganoff. Both were well prepared and tasted great. The staff and owner were very personable. Not very big which keeps things quiet and intimate. Highly recommend.

Excellent seafood and dishes. This replaced one of our favorite at the same location. Excellent service and Victor made sure all was satisfactory and comes often making sure water was filled. This restaurant was worth going.

Food is delicious!! I had the yellowtail, husband had beef stroganoff— highly recommend both dishes. Our server, Austin, was outstanding — friendly, professional, very informed about the dishes. The space is very nice, however, the noise level was way too high. Fortunately they don’t add music to the cacophony. The staff was very accommodating when we asked about changing our table (due to loud chatter from large nearby group). We definitely will return to Red Shoe Island Bistro and highly recommend you check it out.
