I will definitely return to red salt as well as recommended to friends.
It was a wonderful evening for our first time out since full vaccination. We enjoyed indoor dining again with the enthusiastic staff.
Service was great our waitress was fantastic food looks better than it is and atmosphere in the bottom of the hotel it’s in is going to hurt what it could be.
Went there with a group of friends for my birthday and we had an absolute blast. We will definitely be back! Great food and atmosphere as well as the service!
Felt ignored. Bartenders got my order wrong, food was underwhelming. The servers were talking about other tables in front of me, not worth it.
The food was beyond fantastic!!! The Clothesline Bacon is next level delicious and my filet mignon was cooked to perfection! The sides are shareable and that allowed our party of four to try the Bloody Mary Onion Rings, crispy brussel sprouts, and the lobster dumplings.- all were delicious!! We are definitely going back!
Easter brunch was overall very good!
Excellent restaurant , ambient, atmosphere and food
Excellent service, incredible service. Highly recommend everything!
I admit we are spoiled. I picked this restaurant because the Chef. May have been an off night. My husband had the pork shank and it was not flavored at all. My filet was over cooked. Daughter had the scallops and octopus she said they were good but has had better. For the $200 we paid we should have had better. Our waiter was a bit over barring (seemed high). Nice atmosphere! The man pouring water was excellent and the host was very pleasant. Disappointed 😞
The food was excellent but the ambiance was lacking - the restaurant was basically empty and quiet and felt like it was the middle of the hotel lobby
Great food, service and decor! Highly recommend ordering the 'patented' ribeye steak cooked on Salt block. It was fabulously delicious. So was the clothesline bacon as a starter. We wrapped things up with the chocolate cake beaters (each person receives one reminiscent of licking the leftover cake batter grandma used to give to you), followed by the brownie-style cake (which is also gluten free btw!). Great service and beautifully decorated renovation in the Le Meridian hotel. Great to start the night off watching the sunset from the rooftop bar, then head down to dinner.
Nice, low key dinner. Able to focus on company not crowd.
Food was not worth the price at all, drinks were weak. I would definitely skip this on your checklist.
Not a great experience the food was premade over cooked with basically very little flavor if it meats are supposed to be so fantastic my filet was over done it had to been pre-cooked it came out way too quick the salad was boring or pop overs were Burnt I was seated right at the service entrance I had reservations the place was it crowded paid way too much for a miserable dinner
Although I was expecting a lot more from this restaurant, overall the food was good. Our server was very attentive and always timely with refills or checking in to make sure if we needed anything. The Gruyere popovers were over baked, to a burnt taste. Not a good start, but thankfully the appetizers made up for it. Tip: Appetizers are portioned for 2, so if you are a larger party, order accordingly. The clothesline bacon, lobster dumplings and tuna tacos did not disappoint at all. The best dish of the night was the crackling pork shank. Crispy on the outside and tenderly cooked. Although the short ribs were good, it was not as tasty as the shank. The Cheese cake lollipops are a fun way to finish the meal.
Overall, it was good experience but i expected a bit more. Perhaps on another occasion.
The dry aged steak is absolutely delicious. Appetizers and sides are OK. We are a little disappointed about the dessert( we ordered the mochi and macaroons). The mochi skin is very dry and rubbery, which is not what we expect. But I’ll still recommend red salt for its signature steaks. The service is great and the ambience is welcoming.
It seems like this restaurant may have been good at its inception but the cooks had no idea how to execute the vision. The best part about the food here is the photography of the food .
The food and service was amazing! Friendly staff.
It was my birthday and I was not made to feel special. There wasn’t much options to choose from on the menu. I saw that they advertise that they had scallops and I ruin the internet and they did not have that to order. The lobster dumplings were tasty but you get 3 for 18$ and they a little smaller than a munchkin from Dunkin’ Donuts. My food came out room temperature along with my truffle fries that I had to send back the cocktail I had made my stomach hurt I was the least Impressed and the waiter Sean was additional rude. He was talking at me not to me. I would not be coming back here again. $50 wasted on a meal.
This is my favorite restaurant! I am vegan and I like fine dining and this is the only upscale restaurant in Charlotte that will prepare me a vegan meal on the fly. The chef comes out to talk to me and to find out my food likes and dislikes so that he and his team can make my dining experience at Red Salt amazing.
Amazing service, great food! I will be returning soon!
Crackling pork shank that was not crackling.
We had a fantastic time with friends at Red Salt. The food was fantastic and you have to try the cotton candy with cheese cake pops, it's a great new desert idea.
I love this restaurant! I will definitely be back!
Very good, waiters was very informational, great customer service.. definitely recommend this restaurant.. I will be returning back ASAP..
This was our second visit to Red Salt and we were excited to try it again since we really enjoyed our first time. However, we were very disappointed in the food this time. The clothesline bacon was very dry. The popovers were burnt. The allegedly 7 oz. filets were 4-5 oz. tops (I know they shrink when they cook but these were tiny), overdone, and way too salty (again, I know it's called Red Salt for a reason, but this was too much.). My SIL had the Dover Sole and it was also way too salty. The saving grace was the tin cake dessert and the nice man who kept bringing us water (which we needed a lot of due to all the salt).
I recently went to Red Salt for a birthday celebration. The food and service was great! Would definitely recommend Red Salt for an amazing dining experience.
So glad you celebrated your birthday with us! Thanks for coming in and hope to see you again. Lawrence Main General manager
Everything was great. Lindsay was a very nice and attentive server.
Glad Lindsay took great care of you. Looking forward to your next visit! Lawrence Main General Manager
The steak was very juicy and delicious. And so were the fries and water..lol yes ! Even the water taste amazing. Spend about $130 for an amazing date ...had a good time.
LOL, funny that the water was a stand-out. Thanks for the great comments about the rest of the food! Lawrence Main General Manager
Food was good. Limited menu as expected but the service was pretty rough. We came in early for dinner and they had just opened yet it was surprisingly slow. Our server quit in the middle of serving us due to some issue with the staff. No one ever explained where she went and the worst part was I had talked to her to help me surprise my wife for her birthday so that obviously didn’t happen and never got help surprising her. It was a very weird. Food came out extremely slow as well as drinks. Would need some convincing to go back anytime soon.
It was great. The clothesline bacon was amazing and the drinks were very good! I’d definitely be going back there.
Come back in for the bacon anytime Trey! Lawrence Main general Manager
Loved it , cocktails were great & the food amazing . Very attentive staff
Awesome service and staff! The food is always above average and the ambiance is perfect for an occasion or a date night
Hope you have another date night soon, we would love to see you! Thanks for the 5 stars Lawrence Main General Manager
Red salt appeared promising. The restaurant is beautiful and the hostess and manager attended to us. Unfortunately the server was inexperienced and certainly not versed in fine dining. The food was okay. Ordered a drink from
The bar - a blackberry bourbon drink for $14 - should have been a cocktail but came out like a shot, over shaken with a head of foam and tasted like a drink you’d get at a nightclub at 1 am. Popovers were burnt. The house made burrata was more like mozzarella - not at all creamy. Salad was good. The burger was excellent. The filet was excellent. The sides were small, not shareable and they were inedible the green beans tasted of seafood , they must have been sautéed in a pan that had been used for fish. The hush puppies were extremely over salted. This restaurant was an epic disappointment. Not worth it.
Will definitely come back! Great ambiance and very friendly staff. The hostess was so friendly and told us the neat story about the red salts. Thank you!
We were pleasantly surprised at how yummy the food was and we were glad to have experienced it during Queen City week. It may have been too pricey for us to try otherwise.
The food was expertly prepared and very flavorful. All the food was served hot on hot plates. Our server Sean provided excellent service. We very much enjoyed our dining experience and look forward to going back again.
Great food and a great experience! Such a unique menu that will simply wow you.
I had been wanting to go for a while, it did NOT disappoint! Highly recommend!
