We went for Sunday lunch and the roast beef was excellent with well cooked vegetables and a rich gravy. Unusually for here I didnt feel our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and was not very attentive which resulted in one of the meals and being served not as requested and then a delay while this was sorted

Very good food, excellent service at a reasonable price made an evening with friends memorable and enjoyable. Good selection of wine plus the added bonus for this type of venue, very good beer from Gadds Brewerey, to rival any local pub.

Apart from the walnut bread, all of our dishes were just not quite right. Either seasoning off, meat tough, creme brûlée was completely runny, strawberry dish only had about three whole strawberries in it. Very disappointed as had heard good reports.

The food was delicious and creative. Homemade bread was lovely. Service was incredibly attentive. One of the best meals we've had for a long time! A great find!

The food was good and the meat cooked to my taste. Vegetables, to my taste and eye, had been around for a while. A bit wrinkled and dry but edible. Not the best food served in the area.

Loved Red Sails Restaurant - we were staying in this hotel for the night during our visit to Faversham and decided to have dinner in the hotel. The food was really good - my starter of lobster linguini was delicious, my main course fish was cooked to perfection - only criticism being very salty samphire (although I appreciate that by its very nature it is salty). My other half loved his lamb. Dessert was fondant with ice cream which was nice if not exceptional. Service was excellent, lovely bread and nibbles accompanied our meal.

This was a very pleasant find after looking for somewhere different to take my mum for lunch. There was a comfortable lounge to sit in whilst we waited for our table and the staff were friendly and helpful and the owner makes a welcome effort to help out and talk to guests. Table was clean and laid with linen napkins. I should have made my compliments known to the chef on the day as the food was amazing with freshly baked bread hot to table and each dish served whether starter, main or dessert was well presented and tasted great. The onion soup was the best I have ever had anywhere and the Sunday roast beef was done just how I like it (a tasty, tender piece done medium - scrumptious). If you like it well done then I would suggest you ask how the meat is done first (my mum doesn't like it red so left most of it - but it got eaten by the rest of us :). If I had to provide negative then it would be that our table was a little cramped to get in and out of, but once seated it was fine. We found this excellent value for money and will definitely be heading back there again as I want to try some of the other menu tasty sounding options.
