Really good food. Miami has few restaurants of true substance and this is one of them.
Great food presented in a unique way! Good amount of spice in dishes!
We celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary at Red Rooster Overtown and it was nothing short of an amazing experience. Our meal was exceptional! The corn bread, the tuna crudo and the Ox tail will have us coming back over and over again. The ambience, like the music has this hint of old school charm which is both warm and inviting. But what truly sets this spot apart is the staff. From the gentleman at the front door, the maitre d', our server, the bar staff, everyone we came in contact with was gracious in a manner uncommon to our beloved city. While it was our first time at Red Rooster Overtown, the experience felt like sliding on your favorite jacket. Everything about it just felt right.
Ambience was great. Hosting staff was wonderful. A little disappointed my oxtail ($105) was cold. I used cool down my Mac and cheese and sweet potato. Food was still amazing. We were celebrating a birthday and the waitress forgot to bring sparkle in the dessert.
Great food and great waiter!
Manager was kind and helpful.
Unfortunately the lady at reception was rude and made a clear effort to make us feel unwelcome.
We had an amazing experience at Sunday brunch! Service and food were incredible. We will be back and with friends. Thank you!
The food is 10/10. We went for brunch, and ordered the cornbread, the donuts, chicken and waffles, the French toast, and the green omelette. All of them were delicious. Shout out to the chefs! Our waiter was great along with the other staff, but they were a little inattentive. Other than that, the ambiance and the food were great. Do note that on Sundays, it’s mostly gospel music playing. Will definitely be going back.
We went for Sunday brunch and the food was awesome.
The only issue to report is they ran out of regular coffee and only had decaf. It was a little odd to not have coffee at 11am, but I ordered a Mimosa instead! The Chicken and Waffles are a must have!
Fried chicken was disappointing / cauliflower was undercooked
Ribs/ cornbread/ green tomatoes were really good
Loud music- couldn’t maintain a conversation
Service very friendly and accommodating- very slow though
Overall OK place , not outstanding
I took my mom there for her birthday , it was also our first time. The atmosphere was nice, they played nice music, and the food was good.
The vibe was awesome from when you walk in the door. Music and food was outstanding. Celebrated our 23rd anniversary and it was spectacular. Definitely coming back whenever we are in town.
Amazing service, congratulations
Delicious food, cool ambiance. Would definitely return and recommend to friends & family.
We were excited to take friends to experience the Red Rooster and Marcus Samuelson’s cuisine and culture. They did not disappoint as always. It was a quiet night which was unusual and appreciated. The manager Reggie and the hostess greeted us promptly and introduced us to Carrie (or Kerry) our fantasy and knowledgable server. She was amazing with her history and facts about the restaurant as well as the menu. 3 out of 4 of us ordered several small plates and my husband ordered the ribeye steak—the seasonings and accompaniments were delicious. The small plates such as the staples: fried green tomatoes, cornbread and deviled eggs were delish as always and the Crudo and octopus with foi gras was perfectly cooked. The experience and food and wine resulted in a wonderful evening.
The food was excellent. The foie gras was absolutely wonderful; melting in my mouth like butter, entirely rich, smooth and creamy. The menu is innovated and well worth you taking time to experience it. Try not to leave Miami without making your way there.
Amazing food, great service, cool atmosphere
Everything was amazing!!! From the service to each meal we ate. Would definitely come back again and again!
Food was amazing! Drinks were good too! Must try the fried green tomatoes and the cornbread!
Excellent birthday celebration!
Had an excellent anniversary meal! The food rivals the New York location with a Miami flare!
Westly was attentive & eager to serve…outstanding customer care !
The service was prompt and efficient. All staff were courteous and well-informed about the menu and meal choices or combinations.
Beyond all that, the food was fabulous. Wagyu oxtail is a definite order again next time.
Amazing atmosphere and the food was amazing! Not to mention it’s black owned . I’m happy it’s by my house so I can visit frequently
Great good and environment. Felt safe while dining
Our server was Excellent be believe her name was Lashawn. We decided on the Fire Roasted Oxtail to share it was divine!!!
Overall great experience!
I LOVED everything about Red Rooster. I went for Sunday brunch and the food was delectable!!! I had the chicken and waffles. My white or latin male waiter could have been kinder. I apologize for referencing his race instead of his name but I honestly do not remember his name. This is my second time having him as a waiter and he was the same way both times. He never smiled and just seemed rather busy and preoccupied. He also never came to check and see if the food was good for us. There needs to be a friendly face on the floor inside. Everything else from the ambiance to the food was excellent. I will definitely be back inspite of that waiter.
Absolutely love red Rooster! Can't wait to go back :)
Brunch was amazing. Food is very tasteful. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Love the atmosphere
Awesome experience .. Superb service .. Delicious food !
Red Rooster was amazing! It was a great way to celebrate our anniversary. Service and food was 10/10 and the new lounge had an awesome vibe. Loved the music and vibe. Will be back again and again!
Everything was really great! Experience was on point, thank you so much we had a great time! Few things to note, there was very cold air blowing right on us and you were out of the sherbet for one cocktail, 86 Tank Beer and by the time I got my espresso it was super cold. It's been a while since having such a great experience. Service, management present throughout touching tables and visibly on the floor. We will be back for sure! BTW BEST Mac and Cheese, ever!
It started out well - we were on the patio. Then the flies came.
They moved us inside but the music was too loud.
The food and service was phenomenal. It was a little on the expensive side but we had a great time.
Staff very attentive. Worth every penny
There was a bit of confusion about the parking valet. The parking App wasn’t working yet the attended wasn’t really collecting fees either. The door security did not know, the hostess said pay the Valet lastly The manager of the restaurant was a bit condescending to my husband when he asked about the valet . Not sure he knew anything about the parking.
After we were convinced that out Porsche would still be in the lot when we were finished, we went into Red a rooster. First the place is absolutely beautiful I mean every corner of this restaurant-
We were seated inside per my request. The music was VERY loud (not live music the AV system) the lighting was nice but we were close to the open kitchen so it was very brighter then I would have liked. Our server Lashawn T (she introduced herself but it was SO loud I did not hear her, I got her name from the check) was excellent. Very patient and had lots of suggestions.
We ordered : Costal Fish (which was snapper)
Deviled eggs , Corn bread, Shrimp & Grits & Broccoli.
Everything was VERY GOOD. The only thing I would do different is sit out side (which is a beautiful covered space just off the dinning room) . I never know if outside seating is on the street or in like this restaurant another fabulous place. I also think the VIBE inside would be amazing on a Thursday-sat. It was a Weds night so the loud music seemed out of place. I would also bring more people! There is so many wonderful things to try on the menu but you need more stomachs. The portions are not huge but filing. The Cocktails were also very good. I was very happy with the Restaurant and plan on returning soon
Very nice y will
I do not traditionally experiment with new foods. But, this menu was off the charts. My taste buds exploded. Anything you order is a winner. I loved the fresh micro greens and mushrooms. My wife and I had a blast. Service was excellent and the jazz band was a welcomed bonus on a sunday night. Enjoy! The Black Girl wine brand was acceptional.
Great place!!! Best food.
Oxtail was amazing. Service was impeccable. Live jazz while we were there. Overall a great experience.
Really great food, everything was so flavorful!! We had the miami spice and ordered the octopus from the regular menu. If you are a fan of punchy flavors and spice, this place is for you. The servers and waitstaff were also really great. We loved the ambiance which was fun and relaxed.
This time around The food was prefect
My table oredered the chicken to share and it was delicious.
My only complaint was that the Mac and cheese and sweet potato portion was small for 2 people share it was sooo good I wich there was more , at least 2 potato wedges instead of 1. Overall excellent.
I will come again I still have'nt had the oxtail , 1 person at my table didn't eat beef so Ill have to wait till next time
