Service was fast and great food was simply delicioso
Absolutely love everything about this place. The music was perfect, the service was excellent. The food was delectable. Special attention was given to everyone. Great place.
Awesome. Food was amazing
The customer service was excellent and the food/drinks were amazing. I truly love the ambience and music
Great atmosphere & food. Will definitely return
The food, service and vibes were GREAT! We were visiting from Orlando and found this gem to celebrate my husbands birthday. The Oxtail was EVERYTHING! Our waiter was AMAZING (Thanks Reece!) He was very knowledgeable of the menu and made our first experience a very pleasant one! The live band and music were the icing on the cake! We will definitely return next time we’re in the city again!
Great food, great band, great drinks! Our waitress was not so great. We will be back, though.
Loud Live Music to accompany your Jazz Vibe
The food was AMAZING! We did the Miami Spice deal where we could sample many different items and every course was delicious. The fried chicken was some of the best I ever had and the crust on the fried green tomatoes was spectacular. The steak was scrumptious too. We had been planning to go for a while as my wife has read his books and we watch him on food TV and they really knocked it out of the park. We don't eat out much as my wife is a great home cook but this will be one of our new special occasion restaurants. A must try!
I felt fabulous just being in there. Beautiful people, wonderful food. Charming decor.
Amazing food, the ambiance was great and the service was fantastic.
Amazing vibe with amazing food! Brunch on Sunday is nice!!!!
Our server Lenny was excellent and the hostesses were fab!
Went for Sunday Brunch and the Choir was amazing. Ambience was fantastic. Food was great; Deviled Eggs & Cornbread for starters and the French Toast & Salad. We had 2-3 different servers (little slow and first one disappeared) and not sure why, but one employee made the trip worth it all by himself. He took the time to stop cleaning off tables and talk to us over and over. He (for the life of me I cannot remember his name. 6'3'ish, bald, and went to Boston University) was incredible. He suggested foods (I should have got the chicken (cooked twice)), and about the history of the building. He suggested we went upstairs to the speak-easy, which we did. He told us about the Creamery (attached) and about the owner, GM, and story on the neighborhood. He was a wealth of information, but more importantly to me he was incredibly kind and genuine. I would go back to see him as he'll make your time their feel special.
Disappointed overall. Server did not stop by our table much. I am on a gluten free diet due to celiac disease and was given one option of the menu by our server which was average at best (weekend scramble). No effort made to accommodate a diet required due to a medical condition. We had 2 orders of deviled eggs, one had caviar and the other didn't. We mentioned to the server and he did not seem to care much. Other diners at the table also felt their dishes were nothing special. Overall would not return for brunch again I am sad to say.
we were super excited about this meal. food was absolutely delicious but service was pretty bad. we had a waiter who truly didn't want to be working. He was beyond unhelpful and kind of killed the vibe of the day. We went for my birthday brunch and he could not have been less willing to make it a nice birthday brunch. We also had my 1 year old son with us and we had to ask for a high chair for him three times..pretty upsetting. i'd still recommend RR as we loved everything about it but hopefully we would have a better experience next time with a better waiter.
Exceptional food, service, and ambiance. Not only is the food crazy good, but the ingredients are also purchased and prepared in a meaningful way. This is a community restaurant in the absolute sense; it offers a unique experience culturally and historically. Had brunch at this visit (2nd time). Our group ordered four different selections and all were FABULOUS with generous portions and flavors. We will be keeping Red Rooster on our "go-to" list. Delicious.
Everything was excellent! The food was fantastic. We had the whole red snapper fish and the fried chicken. They both were great. The music was great also on a Saturday night. Our reservation was at 9pm and we set inside. The service was excellent from sitting us in a timely manner to getting our orders perfect. The waiter was knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. We will be back!
interesting place. quite the scene. music much too loud. food good overall but ribs disappointing.
I had the fried chicken with the Mac and cheese. Chicken was very good and the Mac n cheese pretty good as well..not your grandma's but more like a creamy Mac n cheese with a crispy cheese top. My hubs had the ribs. It was 5 rib pieces. No sides came with the ribs even though the menu listed puffy rice. That was a very small portion especially for the price. I mean it's ribs not steak. I'll recommend adjust price to provide either a half rack or whole. My suggestion make half rack less than cost now and whole a little more than price now. And offourse offer a side. The way it's served it should be on the appetizer section. Overall, I'll def return. Love the vibes, music, and everything else.
Excellent vibe! A very charming and well decorated space. We didn’t feel crowded even with the weekend brunch crowd. The food was excellent. Our server was very attentive, did a great job anticipating our needs, and was so friendly. The hostesses were also very accommodating. Will be back!
Absolutely love! The staff was friendly and the decor in the restaurant is gorgeous. All of the food and drinks were great.
Ok let’s start with little to no vegan options. I spoke to the regional manager and commented on how poorly dressed the female staff was. He told me the owner was eclectic, but what I saw was poor taste and a lack of style. Even the uniformed women just look terrible, although there were a couple how looked decent. I can’t be the first person to have shared this with you. Also seeing the staff is wearing masks, they must master the art of “speak” through the mask, my waitress was terrible in her speak, poorly dressed and unhelpful with my vegan situation. What she should have offered me was. “ Let me check with the chef and see what he can do” I would say that my comments are little things but they really are big things that need to be addressed. I got the avocado toast without the fish. No big deal. I refused your “vegan” salad option. By the way don’t they realize that African American are a huge part of the vegan movement, they’d be wise to catch up with the times. Also my friend ordered the chicken and waffles and was disappointed with that chocolate infusion, not necessary for chicken and waffles. Just make a great plain waffle. The person who confirmed my reservation was very nice and I hoped that that was going to be the beginning of a great experience, but sadly disappointed. The outdoor space was very nice along with the indoor and the outside signage. Not sure I’d come back. But maybe?
I absolutely loved the Red Rooster! The decor and the ambiance. Perfect foe any occasion. I ordered the weekenders breakfast, magic city donuts and a brownstone (drink) and everything was delectable!!! I am so in love with this place and the music they played paired so well with everything.
Food was good and services was good.. I highly recommend!
Bugs flying around the restaurant, and the waiter was terrible and inexperienced and had the nerve to had for a tip….restaurant included the tip in the bill with 2 pp in the party. I asked him to remove the tip to pay the tip in cash. I gave him $10 just to give him something and leaving he came out the restaurant and asked for the suggested tip so I took my $10 back.
It was expensive and they don’t serve big portions so you have to order a lot to get full but the food was amazing I loved the place
Birthday for hubby!
The food is amazing! The Oxtail entree is the best I’ve ever had and nothing like I’ve ever had. More then enough for 2 people. The only downside is the cocktails, they don’t carry a wide variety of liquors and they pour a very weak drink. Will be back for the food.
Wesley was amazing, food was great and we will go back.
Hostess could have been more pleasant and welcoming!!! Food was great and our waiter Stevens T was fabulous.
The overall service was poor because the seating staff was rude and obnoxious. The experience was saved by our table waiter Shawn, who made us feel welcome.
This was our first time at The Red Rooster.
Amazing decor. Tasty food. I'll definitely be back for happy hour.
Excellent food, full of flavor. Service was wonderful- great experience
The new menu leaves a lot to be desired. This being our third visit, a lot of the classic menu items were no longer there.
Our third time at Red Rooster, it appears the quality of the food is going down. I ordered the fried chicken which was over cooked crust was burnt and overly salted. My wife ordered the ribeye it was ordered medium well, it came burnt on the exterior and they tried to hide the burnt steak with the sauce. Cornbread was excellent. Mr. Samuelson you would have "chopped" whomever it is that was handling your kitchen. Successful sometimes blinds us from overall quality and excellence. Red Rooster needs more oversight from someone who cares.
The cornbread was delicious and the deviled eggs too ! Wow.
The food was really goos. Friendly staff allng with DJ. I will comback
The hostess CeCe was a pleasure. Great ambiance and delicious food. The server wasn’t the best but he wasn’t horrible. Cannot wait to go back!
