I’ve visited this restaurant multiple times before and this was my worst experience.I understand that it was busy,but the hosts barely acknowledged me. German did wish my friend a happy birthday which I appreciates,but there was no dessert even offered or brought to celebrate our friend. We got to the table and there was a used lemon in our glass and the table was barely reset. Our server Joshua was kind but was more attentive to tables that came after us and that were smaller in size. He was most present when it was time for us to pay. Since my last visit the space has been made larger getting rid of that intimate feel and making it harder to be seen and receive good service.While I understand food costs are changing, the price point for the size and/or quality of a lot of the dishes we got was not on par. The mac and greens that I always get- lukewarm- the steak - dry and not flavorful- especially for the price. Half a waffle being $22 with nothing special (not even powdered sugar on it) about it is egregious. A lobster roll entree being that small for the price is crazy, it’d be cheaper to get a whole lobster from a fish market. The greens were sweet, two of my guests didn’t even like their drink but our server was MIA so we couldn’t even ask for something new. Overall,it sucks when good restaurants expand to cater to more gentrifiers because this Juneteenth meal at my favorite place was a dud.

My original Father’s Day plans were canceled so we had to pivot last minute we picked red rooster to celebrate and this was by far the best food I’ve had in a long time and Tierra the waitress was great after eating and stuffing our faces, we switched over to the bar to enjoy the ambience and the live performances I’ve driven and walked past this place a bunch of times, but never took a chance to come in and the only problem I have with this restaurant is that I didn’t come in here sooner was truly impressed. I’ll be back soon.

Everyone working there, from managers, reception, bartenders and especially our server couldn’t have been nicer. Absolutely fantastic service! Food was very good, but a little overpriced Overall, I recommend.

I mixed up our reservations but the hostess accomdated us. The food was divine- collard greens and corbread, shrimp and grits, and of course the yardbird. Apple pie for dessert was also exceptional. Loved the vibe inside w yhe music and the outdoor patio was nice too.

Our first time at Red Rooster and not what I expected. We were seated right by the restrooms in the back and where people congregate to wait it in line as there are only 2 restrooms. It’s awkward having people stand and stare while you eat and drink. They should not have a table there. The food was mediocre, pan fried fish and greens were prepared differently but not bad. The black eyed peas were prepared in a red/brown sauce that gave it an odd taste so not a fan of those. The cornbread was prepared in a loaf pan. It was very stiff and very dense. The taste was okay. The music was okay. Our server was provided good service, food just wasn’t great! I probably would not go back again!

Was excited to take my family to visit Red Rooster Harlem. Attended on a night with live music that was not appropriate for younger children. The entertainer recognized that there were children in the room and significantly downplayed their presence. It was a tough experience to have with children and we had to leave our dinner early. We did not finish our food, had to box it up in haste, and was publicly embarrassed by the entertainer as a result of it. The servers were amazing otherwise; food was okay but was hoping for better.
