The food was excellent although the menu is restricted. We missed cocktails but the wine selection was good. Live entertainment--jazz--was perfect.

I had to catch up with a client while I was in town so I took a stab and met him here. The hospitality was off the chart. Fernando the bartender was all about “service with a smile”.

The steak was delicious! Also really appreciated the space the server provided us. No pressure at all to get out that allowed us to sit and talk for as long as we wanted.

Menu was not the same as the website, so we didn't stay to eat. Music was nice, but too close to the tables, so it was too loud.

A solid three. But I'll start with the good.

Service is great. Our guy was really attentive and was ready to make us some recommendations on what would pair well with our food. But, my mom and dad decided on the mango moscato instead of the drier wines that would pair with the food we ate. That said, the mango moscato was delish!

Food was just OK. Brought my mom for birthday dinner, but the food really isn't all that impressive. The menu didn't seem to have a lot of the stuff pictured here on Yelp. Not sure if they rotate their items. The Papperdelle Primavera was really bland... needed salt and the "sauce" was very thin. Burger was very small, but came with a large side of fries. Best food I ordered was the Giant "Spicy-A-Meatball." Tasty and just the right amount of spicy. It had more of a red pepper flake spice than anything else. Antipasti was standard--nothing special, but good if just sipping on wine.

I'd probably go again, but would focus on wines and appetizers. Don't come here hungry.

My first time here. On first look walking in its cozy & romantic. Candlelight level ambiance inside, a fire pit for the outdoor setting. I went on a Friday & there was love music from a fantastic guitar player playing music that blended perfectly with the ambiance. It kept your attention in the moment with the person you're with, a perfect compliment to the feeling of the place.
The two gentlemen working there that night, Fernando & Anthony were very friendly & welcoming. They were enjoyable to talk with & made the experience even more fun.
We asked to order some food, assuming they would have basic appetizers only as cuisine. We saw they had a steak, I believe it was a petite filet. It was actually so delicious we have talked about returning when hungry just for the steak.
For how small & cozy the place is we expected it to be crowded & have to wait for seating. We sat at the bar without waiting. There were enough people there to know the place is well liked, though never felt crowded or cramped.
This little gem of a place is a fantastic find & we'll be returning.

My husband and I were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and needed to go to a nice restaurant close to home. We heard it was nice, so we gave it a shot. It was an enjoyable evening with good food and good service. The guitar player took very long breaks, so we did not get to enjoy the music the way we had hoped. We did tell our waiter we were celebrating a special anniversary, and I did write that on the reservation, but nothing was done about it. That surprised me.
Thank you,
Leslie Parker

This is one of our go to restaurants in Encino. They have a great wine list and we love the small plates. The kobe sliders and the artichoke are delicious. Its cozy inside and on the weekends they usually have someone playing live music. There is also an outdoor portion if patrons wish to sit outside.

Great food and knowledgeable wine steward to help pair your food selection with a glass of modestly priced imported wine. A little hard to find, but well worth the trip.

Came for a rare get together with friends moment and really enjoyed myself. Attentive servers, tasty food and nice live accoustic guitar music. The name befits the place as it is indeed a "room" so be aware of their space limitations. I'd recommend a reservation and restricting to small group as it's an intimate setting for sure. We made a reservation for group of 3 and had no issue.

We loved this place! We have lived in the neighborhood for years and always wanted to stop by for a glass of wine but never did. We finally made it in, and were very impressed (though a small wine bar/restaurant) with the service, the atmosphere, the food and service. It was very mellow and low key, without screaming children or loud "gastropubbers." A very nice quiet jazz band was playing that evening, and the volume was just right. Will definitely go back!

This was a pleasant little find. Small and nicely decorated. Simple and comfortable. Live fire put on the patio.
Nice wines and nice suggestion from the server/owner? Parking was easy on a Thursday evening but looked relatively good for parking. I remember background music that was fun- oldies perhaps.

Loved it- Red Room is a hidden gem!

Fernando, the sommelier, is fantastic, knowledgable and interesting. He makes this place what it is. He helped us explore several new wines based on our preferences. He was also thoughtful about not pushing us outside of our flavor-comfort zone without ensuring we enjoyed what we tried.

We sat outside on the patio on a cool summer evening- it was tucked away, semi-private and filled with subtle Spanish guitar. Really, we felt like we weren't in LA at all and it was exactly what we were looking for on our date night!

The food was excellent. We enjoyed light, tapas-style snacks: the cheese board, artichoke and shishito peppers.

We had a wonderful time and will be back!

Anniversary of my first date with my wife. The owner sommelier was spot on, finding the right wines for our separate desires and matching them with some outstanding Tapas. This place is small, quiet, comfortable and dark enough that I didn't look as old ad I am. That was a huge plus.

I think the owner/manager can come across very off-putting, especially about your wine choice. Ideally, he would prefer you go with his suggestion, no matter what. You just have to know this and be fine with it. The food is very good and I particularly like how attentive the server is refilling your water glass.

This was my 3rd time & I was disappointed. Pizza had way too much cheese, meatballs were very tough & came sitting in a sweet-corn coarse purée, tapa portioned short rib came in a weird tasting corn concoction (didn't taste like promised polenta). Shrimp taco was pretty decent & wild grilled shrimps, as well. Last time I tried guacamole w chips- pretty good, beef tacos (tapa portions)- also good. The place is tiny with a small patio has a fire table & overlooks the parking lot. May b worth to try for yourselves, at least once.

The Red Room is a lovely little gem tucked in a shopping center. The manager, host and somalier helped us decide on some very lovely wines. He asked us what we liked, took his time, and his suggestions were good. I ordered the fig and parma and the sliders -both were delicious. The guitarist provided a lovely ambiance and music. Highly recommend

Just like entertaining at home, only they do the cooking and cleanup. Very relaxed atmosphere and you eat and drink at your own pace, never rushed. Introducing friends to Fernando is always a treat. Matching wine you will like with the food you order is what he does so well. We enjoyed a glass of white burgundy and a bottle of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir with a mushroom flatbread, lamb meatballs, beef short ribs, chicken skewers and grilled shrimp, all small plates but enough to share four ways. And, all delicious. And cheesecake for dessert. If it sound good, that's because it was. My favorite neighborhood wine bar.

First, we were not given a choice where we wanted to be seated, inside or patio. We were pushed to sit in the patio.
The server was overly friendly and was taking away my precious time with friends by over extending his conversation with us.
We ordered 2 salmon dishes, the quinoa was extremely dry, it was like eating sand. I mentioned this issue with the server but did not do anything about it. The cherry tomatoes had no other flavor but tomatoes, it was simply cut into half and served to us. The Salmon had no seasoning but salt. The worst thing is that the main dishes cost $24.99 each and seemed like it was prepared by someone who does not know what he or she was doing in the kitchen. When asked what kind of salmon it was, he did not know. My assessment based on how the dishes were prepared, should cost $9.00.
The steak dish ordered was over medium, it was served rare.
The red wine was served very chilled. Why???
I don't mind paying good money for good food, but this experience was just something I can talk about it for years to come.
If this restaurant is trying to feta Zagat rating...it will fail big time!
My over all experience...my worst ever!
I travelled nearly 40 miles for my biggest disappointment ever.

Live music was fantastic! Definitely felt like I was in Europe or somewhere far away from the city. Very romantic and at the same time a great place to come out with friends. Food is also great the only complaint I have is that we got a plate of cheese and figs and I feel that some of the cheese cubes weren't very fresh. They have a great wine selection and the staff is happy to give great recommendations. Will definitely be back.
