Red Pony Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I had just driven down from Illinois for an event the next day and had been referred here by a friend. One of the best dining experiences in quite awhile. From the bartender to the waitress to the meal itself. All five star. The chef is phenomenal and the combinations of flavored were interesting and serving sizes perfect. I had a cocktail called Marco Polo that was beyond words!! Will definitely stop in next time we are in town. Thank you!!!
Normally I don't give all 5 stars because I feel like when people see it they don't take it seriously. Though this restaurant truly is all star. The food is so unique with so much flavor. The staff truly makes Red Pony the exceptional restaurant that it is.
Tuesday night was an outstanding choice as there was a 50% wine discount, and I had a delicious Cote de Rhone. I started with a really delicious Lamb lollipop appetizer that was four generous sized chops with parmesan and pesto. They were cooked perfectly and my favorite part of the meal. For the meal, I ordered the filet with risotto and asparagus. It was delicious and I highly recommend the dish. The filet was overcooked, but the server completely noticed and tried to re-fire the meal. I insisted that the steak was still delicious, so he and the manager comped my fantastic appetizer. This made for a fantastic over-all experience and I will definitely return. That is really good service and super management.
We love Red Pony--it is always dependably great! We brought friends from Australia and I had asked in advance for a nice table. We were seated at the best table (as far as I am concerned), on the second floor by the window. Our server was excellent; knowledgeable and fun. Our food was wonderful, as expected; shrimp & grits, scallops/risotto, steak + shrimp and grits. Very fresh and tasty salads. We will continue to return!
The Chef is phenomenal. Serving meals with in season ingredients. The dishes here are always spot on. Their gluten free desserts are unbelievable, and I don't have to select them, I order them because they're delectable. The cocktail crafter Stephen is great. I recommend a "Walk in the Park" if you are not a wine drinker. The meals here are always spot on.
Absolutely incredible food. Wine prices were a little bit more than I am used to, but that's because they are all high end wines. Best service we have had in a very long time. Very easy to make reservations, and they will actually call you the day of to confirm them with you.
Our first time here and if we lived close-by we would be here a lot. The food was wonderful - imaginative and flavorful. The service was attentive and very friendly. I wish we had known to ask for a table against the wall instead of in the line of traffic from everyone coming in.
Red Pony was a last minute decision for us, and was a bit of a drive from Nashville, but well worth it. The ambience was great, the windows into the kitchen were nice, and the service was friendly, knowledgeable and casually professional. The food, however, was the star. Amazed by the bacon wrapped rabbit, the scallops were wonderful, and the oyster appetizer was simply beyond words. We were talking about what we would get at our next visit on the drive home!! Well done!
Our dining experience was perfect from start to finish. The ambiance was great. The drink and menu selection was phenomenal. Our waiter Jay was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of every piece of the menu. He did not miss a beat. Traveling from St. Louis, I will make this a must do if I ever return to Franklin.
Great for pre- theatre dining! Red Pony is a wonderful E experience. Excellent food, innovative menu that changes seasonally and has menu items not found on just any restaurant menu . The ambience is nice. We especially enjoy dining upstairs and have in a drink at the upstairs quaint bar pre-dinner. The service is always professional and yet warm. Our most recent visit was prior to a show at the Franklin Theatre, which is just across the street. I had the Branzino which was delicious. Everyone had a wonderful meal and enjoyable experience.
Definitely glad I checked this place out after hearing about it from friends and family. Great atmosphere, unobtrusive and pleasant waitress, fun setting. I had the Almondine Bronzantine, which was cooked perfectly. You MUST HAVE the goat cheese gnocchi as a side. Seriously.
