We’ve visited the Cosmopolitan multiple times and have decided the Red Plate is our favourite restaurant. The food is always amazing and the service exceptional. The restaurant has a small intimate setting which allows for easy conversation and the staff are always friendly, knowledgeable and go above and beyond to make sure your visit is memorable. The food is incredible and wonderfully presented, I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant when you visit Las Vegas. It may be rated on the high price scale but is worth every penny. Many thanks to Howie on our recent visit, he made our visit exceptional.

We called ahead for the clay pot rice. It was very authentic. Sausage and duck liver sausage? Bacon and rappini is served with it so it is very filling. The Bao dim sum I highly recommend. The golden lotus cocktail is awesome. Since we did not opt for dessert complimentary assortment of candies were served on a 200 year old red plate w gold. Beautiful. Server was sweet but could have given us more alone time.

Completely overpriced for subpar Chinese food. I was mostly excited to try their evening dim sum expecting the quality to be exceptional for the cost. The lobster siu mai and the black truffle xiao long bao weren’t even properly steamed. When we received they were cold and the lobster was not longer delicate. We did enjoy the caviar taro puff with quail egg, but at 19 dollars for one piece, I’d hope that it would be above average. The best part of our meal were our drinks, but that was not our intention. The Iberico pork was chewy and could not be easily bitten. We required a knife to get through it. The fried sea bass wasn’t fried well, so it didn’t have a light crisp exterior. Flavor wise I enjoyed it, minus the excessively oily flavor. Also for 48 bucks the quantity of fish was laughable. We also had the soft shelled crab which was also oily and and chewy rather than fried crispy. Maybe because we were one of the first patrons for dinner service, their oil wasn’t heated to proper standards, but for the cost of our entire meal, Red Plate could have done a much better job meeting expectations. I have dined at several Cosmopolitan restaurants, but this was the biggest disappointment. I do appreciate our server though who did a good job selling and explaining the dishes. Not her fault she hyped us up but couldn’t deliver the quality of food I’d expect at the caliber of restaurant it’s intended to be.

Simply put, the food and the restaurant itself was not that great or impressive, especially for the pricing and ESPECIALLY for it being at the Cosmo. We had 7:30 Saturday reservations and they ran out of the duck, the only reason we even decided to give this restaurant a try. We substituted the duck with chicken and our waitress did not explain that the specific chicken dish we ordered, in Chinese culture, is served ICE cold. The restaurant itself was a lot smaller than expected and lacked typical Cosmo energy. The drinks were the only good thing of the night. The food was not. I will say the food did come out relatively quickly. I have eaten at every restaurant in Cosmo and this may be the worst. I don’t see this place staying open for very long. During our conversation with our 110% Chinese server (quote from her) about the sub-par food she told us “stop and let me finish.” I think she took our review of the food a little personally. But it was the truth. Most of the food required a wet towel to clean your hands because of all the sauces and juices. If you want a fun and energizing experience with great Chinese food for the $, I would 110% recommend Mott32 at Palazzo instead.

We are spoiled, we eat at every new restaurants in vegas this place is new! they have much to learn, they didn’t have many of the drinks we wanted and service needs to be improve. The scallops was under cooked we barely touched it and they didn’t even try to correct it.,Again, it would have been ok, there is a way to communicate when you don’t carry certain things like kindly suggest other on the menu that is similar to it. Not just answer “no we don’t have that” made us feel like we were asking heaven and earth. After all it was just sliced cucumber on the side for our bottle water.

We dined at Red Plate this weekend and enjoyed it immensely. Beautiful room, delicious food and presentation with impeccable service. Beef fried rice took the dish to new dimensions--unfortunately has probably spoiled us to order anywhere else. I had the crab appetizer and sea bass entree--both outstanding, particularly the sea bass with its crispy skin. Ryan was our server and he was notably excellent.

The food quality was great and so was the ambiance. For some of the items the price might justify a bit more quantity but this is fine dining in Vegas and while the service was great, perhaps it could have been improved with more checking on each individual but this does not take away from the exceptional staff members and their overall service that night!

Food was exquisite and delicious, one of the best meals I have ever had. Mario the server was excellent also. The steamed red rock fish is so tender and full of flavor. It is pricy but well worth the money.

We had an amazing and memorable experience dining at red plate. The sauces had many levels of flavor that made the dishes perfect. The dim sum was so lite and perfect we had to order more cause we needed more. The service was so good and helpful. The staff new what we needed before we knew. The cocktails were the best of the resort. Everything was so different and interesting. Surprises were plentiful and the combinations were like nothing we had the entire trip. Just go and eat here there is something for everyone.

The best service I've had at a restaurant. I really appreciate the kindness and knowledge of Ann, our server, who was definitely an A+ in our report card. The food was as promised, a Ying & Yang of flavors, with every thought put into testing the palate. I have to admit that I was totally blown away by this experience.

Food is wonderful each is handcrafted with extreme deliciousness. The servers are very kind allways with a smile on their face. The servers are one of the nicest caring servers. They serve you and not the restaurant.

This is very high end Cantonese dining, several dishes brought back culinary memories of growing up in Hong Kong other dishes are more stylized and have a unique creative twist. Red Plate provides a luxury dining experience without a lot of stuffiness - worth the $$

Loved this restaurant, it was a pleasant surprise and I would most definitely return! The food was fantastic and served quickly and the service was amazing. The staff are honestly happy to be of assistance and want to make sure you are enjoying the experience. We tried a wide range of dishes and next time if we’re a bigger group we’re going for the Peking Duck.. it looked amazing. Shout out to Mario our waiter- he made our visit extra special !

Best upscale chinese restaurant since a long time.
It is the second time we came in one week during our stay in Las Vegas.
The food is excellent.
We had Peking Duck, Crispy Tofu, Caviar Taro Puff with Quail Egg, Black Truffle Xiao Lung Bao, Dried Scallop and Egg White Fried Rice, Creme brulee
What make us come back :
1) Abalone and Chicken Congee, first time of our life, we eat fresh abalone. Hmmm.
2) Lobster Sui Mai
3) Spicy Dungeness Crab
4) Caviar Taro Puff with Quail Egg
The service is very attentive, friendly as with our server Ryan.
Sure we come back on our next travel in Las vegas.
It is expensive, but completely worth the money.

Red Plate was a beautiful gem in the craziness that is Vegas.
Excellent food, impeccable service - the Peking Duck was incredible. Chinese cuisine is a difficult cuisine to choose for a group, the “genre” is so specific to each diner and guest; however Red Plate was a wonderful experience and I am looking forward to another experience.
