Red Oak Kitchen
Nice lunch, quiet enjoyable atmosphere! Recommend!!!!
Awesome meal as always
Food is good, menu is not extensive, but has decent variety. My only complaint is the vegetable of the day is always either zucchini with cowboy relish or butternut squash. Would enjoy a broader variety of vegetable choices! Staff is friendly, service is good considering how busy they are.
The food was fantastic and the staff is very friendly and professional. Excellent value
This is my favorite restaurant . The food is amazing. The staff is so friendly and professional.
We celebrated my husbands birthday at Red Oak Kitchen for Brunch. Everything was fantastic! Staff was great in accommodating a few more guests to our party. Everyone enjoyed the food. Thank you all so much!
Everything was wonderful Exocet i pair $40 for the finest fish piece I’ve ever seen
One of the very few places in odessa you can get great service and great food.
We like to come here because its quiet, the food and service is always good. Prices are a tad high but it's worth it.
Undercooked salmon and poor service by wait staff. Also pricing very high.
great atmosphere. I love the feeling of going out in the Midland/Odessa area, and feeling like I'm somewhere else, and Red Oak nailed it!
We made a reservation. When we got there is was very busy but they took us right to our table. The food and service was very good.
We love Red Oak Kitchen and have had a great experience every time we have been. I LOVE their salad and we haven't met an entree we didn't enjoy.
This is an amazing little place, tucked away behind its bigger, noisier brother-resteraunt, Cork & Pig. Food is amazing and environment is intimate...
So good we took our kids back the next day! My first chicken and waffles..what took me so long? The taco sauce is sublime and the Mexican breakfast was delicious.
Waiters are stretched which slows service some but our waiter was very personable & helpful
One of the nicer places in Odessa. The is small, limited menu but really good food. Great Pizza
Always wonderful. Our favorite place to eat in Odessa for sure. Food & staff are wonderful.
We love this spot. Friendly service table was ready just a wonderful place and great service. Ordered the filet asked for rare was over cooked the salmon was delicious. Best Jalapeño cucumber margaritas.
I made a reservation for 4 @ 5:30 on Friday night. We were seated very promptly. The server (Heather) was prompt and professional. 3 of us ordered the filet mignon with the asparagus. The filets were cooked to order but were rather small. The asparagus portion was very small with about 4 stalks each. The other person in our party ordered the salmon. His portion was larger. The food was delicious, just not a whole lot of it. We did order the Trio Dip to start. It was very delicious. They did allow us to remain seated for quite some time after our meal. The tab was a little disturbing for the meal at over $150 without any drinks being added. I will likely visit again.
My wife, grandson and I enjoyed dinner at ROK. Crab cakes were substantial, assembled with lots of lump crab meat and little filler. They were prepared properly - grilled, not deep fried. Cole slaw was delicious with a mustard flavor. I ordered rotisserie chicken which was a bit dry. Mashed potatoes were perfect. The bar had to look up the recipe to prepare a Kentucky Smash and it was delicious and refreshing. Service was attentive, pleasant, and chatty without being intrusive. We did not want to sit by the noisey food preparation area or bar, so we were seated in the second floor dining room which was accessed by a long flight of stairs. We find the smoke that permeates the air in ROK as it does in Cork & Pig, very annoying. Our clothes had be be laundered because the odor was so strong. Overall, good food, good service, but pricey.
This place is consistently good with good service.
Asked for something special for a 40th birthday. It came out wrong but they fixed it.
Still too noisy where we couldn’t hear each other well but the rock shrimp was so amazing
The food was excellent and the service was wonderful. Very enjoyable
Upon being seated, our waitress took our drink and appetizer order. After a short time the appetizer was delivered to the table, but no cocktail. We were almost finished with our appetizer before the waitress came back and said they were out of olives for the martini my husband ordered and the staff had gone next door to sister restaurant to get some. Long period of time passed and she brought our martinis , mine with the lemon juice in it (I had asked for lemon twist) and my husband’s plain with no olives. She offered to remake mine and was still waiting on the olives. Much later she brought the drinks. Another with no olives again and mine done correctly. She said she had to make them herself and did we want her to go next door to get olives..... our dinner had already been delivered and we had begun to eat at that point. I believe they have real management problems. There had been major mistakes every time we have been to this restaurant.
Outstanding service and food! Will be back very soon!
We brought some friends from out of town to eat here for their first time. We have eaten here several times and have loved it but I’m ashamed that tonight’s service was their one and I promise Only time to try ROK. I made a reservations days in advance and then when we arrived we were told we would be on the patio. A cold front and harsh winds had come through and its in the low 50’s high 40’s. We were sat next to an exit and it was very cold even though we kept our jackets on. Then the hostess came by and propped the door open so that we were exposed to even colder wind than before and when we asked them to please close the door we were told No! We asked for the manager and when she arrived she informed us it was an emergency exit and had to stay open bc the latch sometimes gets caught and you have to pull a tab other wise to open it. This was unexpected bc it was so cold out you would figure they would have it closed since our table was literally at the door opening. Then we were told that the hostess had called to tell us that this would be the situation and that we must have agreed to it. I told her I made a reservation days ago and no one called me. She then proceeded to call me a lair and that her hostess had confirmed with Everyone. My husband showed her the call list from my phone that is listed on the reservation and that there was no call from the restaurant and she then says she will go ask the hostess. She NEVER came back to the table and after sitting with the door propped open and being cold for too long we closed it. After that she had a police officer come stand out there the rest of the night. We never once raised our voices or were rude just simply asked to have the door closed. After this experience we will be finding a new place for our nights out and will no longer suggest them to others. It’s a shame bc they had been such a great find here in Odessa.
I ordered a sweet tea and decided I wanted a soda. The server charged me for both beverages even though it was the same price. Wouldn’t have been nice to know prior I would be charged.
Food is amazing as always.
Great food and atmosphere. Portions were very large
This is the fourth time I have eaten at the Red Oak and it always has excellent service and food. I highly recommend it!
We go almost every Saturday for brunch. And literally every time they act shocked and unprepared when people walk in at 10:00 for their reservation. They are scrambling, still setting up, turning on music and always have a reason that you can’t dine outside. Other than that it’s always enjoyable.
Great food! Best in West Texas.
Food is good and service was very good. While the menu is not overly extensive, it should have something for everyone.
Always love this place! Feels like we are miles from Odessa.
Fantastic food and we really enjoyed the upstairs dining area. The cocktails are superb as well.
We really enjoyed our time there.
Had a very poor experience made reservations for 3 online when I got there at 8:30 they only had me down for two ordered a rotisserie chicken sandwich with chips it was bad service was bad I don’t recommend this place
If you're familiar with The Cork and Pig, imagine the same food quality and service at the Red Oak without the high level of noise. It was a perfect place for a quiet date.
Always Great! Our favorite spot in Odessa. And usually a little less crowded than it’s sister restaurant Cork & Pig.
