Absolutely delicious dinner. From appetizers to dessert the food was really really good!
Gorgeous decor, attentive, unobtrusive service, and the food was sublime. Loved my cauliflower risotto; everything presented beautifully. Plantains are a must!!! Fabulous.
Good service and atmosphere but the food was very average. It is too expensive for the average quality of the food.
Server brought me the wrong drink two times, food was mediocre at best…. Not worth the money at all
Good food. Expensive. Beautiful decor.
Everything was great from when we walked in the door. Our server, Brenden, was so friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful anniversary dinner. Thank you!
My friend had never been here before. He really enjoyed it!
Really, really good margaritas, especially the skinny one that uses real lime juice instead of overly sweet packaged mix. The food was generally good too, although the sides of refried beans and Spanish rice were not up to the quality of the guacamole or fish tacos.
The canned music was too loud, too bad because otherwise the ambiance was fine.
The food and service was good but the drinks were way too overpriced
Food was great service was great!
It was amazing!
Out server, Brandon, was outstanding! He had great recommendations for us and our dinner was wonderful.
Excellent food and atmosphere!
Very energetic place. The downfall was the lobster and shrimp Chile relleno, it was filled with corn, there may have been two pieces of lobster and shrimp in it and the tacos were disappointing and lacked flavor but thank goodness for the extra salsa, which was really good.
Food is so delicious! I am going to recommend this restaurant to friends. My only complaint was I did have to ask our server 3 different times for a glass of water before I finally asked another server and got it but they were all very busy and overall great experience.
It was my daughter's birthday and we had a blast!
Our waiter was fun and the food was great. Loved the ambiance and music!
The ambiance is great and the overall experience was pleasant. I found some items to be a bit overpriced for their quality but I would consider dining there again.
Cassie was great!
Food was fantastic. Vibe in restaurant was great. Would recommend!
Great food and drinks. Vibe there is great and our waiter, Jorge was on top of everything!
The food was not impressive and over priced for the quality
The restaurant, workers and the food met all my expectations. I was o my god I wish Tucson, Arizona had a Red O Taste of Mexico restaurant in town. I would take my family couple of times a month for dinner and brunch. The only recent I travel to San Diego was for the opportunity to taste their food and they did not disappoint at all!
Good service. Exciting environment. Tasty food. Small mixup with order was graciously corrected. We’ll return.
Awsome from valet at entrance to the dessert butter cake. DJ played nice music and the waiter Jorge was great!
I made reservations for three, two friends from out of town and I. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and seemed like a great pick. The restaurant seemed reasonably busy for a Saturday night. With reservations it took ten minutes to get seated, another fifteen to bring a menu another fifteen to place order of drinks, another fifteen to receive drinks and order appetizer and you can see where I'm going with this. Some waits were as long as 30 minutes to actually get the main meal after we had finished appetizers. Waitress and servers were courteous and apologetic each time. Food was good. Margarita pitcher was watered down probably from melted ice. Would not recommend unless you have tons of conversation with your party and don't mind long waits. Arrived at 7pm and left at 10:30pm not by choice.
Probably shouldn’t have gone on Friday night. Had a reservation. Nice atmosphere, nice people.
Very busy. Slow service, not that attentive. Waiter was nice but vanished for a half hour. Should have checked on drinks, etc.
Good food, and high quality, but some dishes not hot. Expensive, but I knew that. Nice experience, but nothing exceptional. Probably won’t return.
Loved the food and ambiance
I haven't had a memorable restaurant experience in years. That definitely changed last night. Everything was perfect! The food and the drinks were so good, it is 100% worth the price. The waiter was so friendly and personable. I cannot wait to go back.
Great food for a great price. Beautiful restaurant and great service.
Good service. Lovely restaurant. Menu was good and options numerous. Had the steak/shrimp fajitas. Entree was good but not outstanding. I'd eat here again if there weren't some better restaurants in this category very close to this location.
Food is outstanding and there is a great variety of selections to choose from. Service is as good as it gets. Music is a little loud.
Our waiter was attentive. We were seated in the patio.
The noise level was a major factor
in our total experience.
Dinner at a fine dining restaurant should not be a shouting match across the table.
The suzita chicken enchiladas were fabulous. My husband was very pleased with the succulent Chile relleno.
We live very close by. Wishing for a real adjustment on music volume!

Our first time there. We arrived around 3:15pm and found that it was happy hour, so we were able to sample a number of items. The wait staff was awesome...especially Demi. She was just delightful. The chicken casadilla was good. The carnita taco was delicious. But the short rib crispy taco was absolutely mind blowing delicious. We will most definitely be returning soon. I have to try the Crab and Lobster Enchalada.
Reserved a lunch table for our anniversary. We were greeted with Happy Anniversary on check in. Immediately upon seating we were provided two glasses of champagne. The sangria is outstanding as are the craft drinks. The food is very well prepared with all fresh ingredients. Had the shrimp ceviche, lobster eggs Benedict snd enchiladas suizas. Everything was very good. The service is among the best we’ve had in the city. We will most definitely be back.
Went for business dinner with 10 people. Waiter said it was ''policy" to not allow more than 4 cards/party.
Beverage service initially quick. Proffered 2nd round for some was ordered at delivery of main entree. Beverages (beer, wine) arrived after desert was finished.
After much negotiation with one management person on duty on a Friday night (Beverage manager; general manager not on duty) waiter returned with 4 separate checks which had completely mix and matched many dinners on several checks.
Beverage manager seen behind bar making fun of situation.
Overall poor management practices, staff training, and concern for guests. We felt sorry for poor waiter who was caught in the middle between an unresponsive, inappropriate middle management person, and poorly served increasingly dissatisfied group of customers.
Red O started off with a good impression, yet seized defeat from the jaws of victory by placing the customer last. Symptoms of poor management training and oversight.
The food was terrible, especially for the money. The service was terrible. Our waiter was non existent for the majority of the meal. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Food was good. The music is too loud. We ate in the outdoors area where it is not as loud. Indoors is too loud to carry on a conversation. Please stop the overwhelmingly loud music.
Server was awkwardly pushing a $50 margarita and not listening to our orders.
Always a great experience at Red O
