Red Lobster - West Des Moines
The server said they didn't have the sailors platter for dinner hrs. Why? It is fish and shrimp? Seems like an excuse to me....
Anthony the server was new. He came to take the order when we had just sat down. Then he took forever to come back when we told him that we just were seated. He brought the food with no silverware. He forgot the crab cracker when he brought the feast. He brought one when it was half finished and the manager had brought one out. He raised the tip after I filled out the slip.
Food was good; service terrific! She was quick to get orders from the kids, patient with their questions and courteous to all. She recognized they were hungry and brought the biscuits out right away 😊 great job!
Went to Red Lobster for lunch and had to wait 15-20min. They weren't busy but had limited staff. Still no garden salads. Food was very good..
We were served quickly, the server was awesome.
All was good had a nice evening there. May go back sometime
Our waitress was wonderful and the food was fresh and delish!
Doesn't seem as good as it was pre- pandemic and prices of course are higher....
Fantastic as usual great food and service. Great waitress was very nice and helpful.
Food was great service was lacking. Sat quite awhile before being acknowledged and just overall poor service.
Very good food. Nice atmosphere. A little noisy because of an unruly mother trying to discipline her daughter. Daughter was doing just fine. LOL I ordered an extra lobster tail to go with my dinner. Was really disappointed in the size of it for what it cost. Other than that, it was a very good meal!
We took my family of 5 to dinner on the 16th for my daughter’s 15th birthday, as she loves seafood! We went 2 years ago as well, and enjoyed raw oysters, which was on her bucket list. All I can say is that experience far exceeded this one. First, they no longer carry oysters, which is the main reason we went. I should have called first. Second, the food was ok, $13 for 2 tiny crab cakes was a little excessive, in my opinion. My son, husband and other daughter got the all-you-can-eat shrimp, which they enjoyed. They had 2 servings each. The birthday girl and I shared a feast meal, which was ok, but some of the noodles were stuck together and a bit hard to chew, but the amount of seafood on the pasta was good and tasty. When we reserved the table via the Open Table app, we added in the Special Occasion section that it was for my daughter’s 15th birthday, but there was no mention of it, nor any dessert offered, which was rather disappointing. Why even ask then? But all of those things are minimal compared to the screaming, out of control kid next to us that lasted for an hour straight. I am not exaggerating when I say it went on for a good hour, with the mom yelling and threatening to take the kid and leave, but ended up just leaving herself and the kid staying with the dad. She had no control and was embarrassed and left. The kid stayed with the dad, yelling, crying, whining, running around, the whole time the dad is either trying to ignore or spanking the kid or making loud threats. All in all, it was a nuisance to every other table there. I know the restaurant can’t control other’s kids, but I believe they have the right to ask him to leave or get their kid under control. It ruined the experience for everyone else there. It was very disappointing and kind of a blessing they didn’t offer my daughter a birthday dessert as we couldn’t get out of there fast enough for some peace. I am certain this will not be her choice of restaurants to celebrate her next birthday.:-(
Awful service. Had reservation through open table arrived 5 minutes before scheduled time and they closed door with the manager who didn’t seem to care. Terrible customer service
Even while using ‘Open Table’ app, we still waited over 20 minutes. Food was fair. And cold. Portions were very small.
This is a very popular location dealing well with virus protocol. Their food and drink menu is still limited, but they have the the most popular items.
Price of all the shrimp you can eat has gone but NO SALAD available only Cesar and that is extra. Isn't cesar salad made from lettuce... so why no salads... I was very disappointed!!
I believe they are under new management since we went last. The Manager on Duty was extremely positive, friendly, engaging to customers as well as the food delivery drivers coming in to pick up orders. Our server was awesome! Literally zero complaints.
Always great food and service!
Waited for 30-40 minutes despite having a reservation and plenty of open tables in the dining area. Took 30 minutes to get 4 drinks served after we sat down. Food was just ok.
It was very bad service, I expected more on a $100 tab. Three of our food items were incorrect when they came out which delayed receiving the food, desert wasn’t even offered. I was not impressed.
Excellent service and food!
The food was great, and our server was awesome.
I would not recommend this place
It was good. The open table app put us at priority seating. Got seated quickly. Great service. Good came out quick. Drinks always full. Good food. Will be back!
This Red Lobster is usually very good but this time the fried shrimp was over cooked and the fish was supposed to be fried but instead it was grilled.
Great meal! Server was nice! It was busy but that’s to be expected in a Friday night!
The food and service were great!
Great food and service
We made a reservation through open table, were seated and the reservation was acknowledged, but when we presented our gift card from open table the manager came to our table and said he had never heard of Open Table. He honored the $10 off, but I felt like a crook who was trying to get away with something. Not a pleasant feeling. Besides the uncomfortable situation created by the manager, everything else was great.
Red lobster is my favorite for seafood. It can be somewhat pricey though. I have always felt it is worth the price. I eat here several times a year and would recommend it to everyone.
Place is too busy, even with reservation we waited for 45 minutes. Our server was very nice and biscuits were wonderful.
Great service and great food!!
The steak was so tough I couldn't chew it so they brought out a new one that was supposed to be medium but was rare. The scallops didn't taste at all. The shrimp was just okay. Only good food was the biscuits. Our waitress was great and very friendly and attentive.
I always enjoy the food and atmosphere at the Red Lobster. I have never had a disappointing dinner there.
Nice quiet early dinner. Waitress was very pleasant and helpful.
