Red Lobster - Sioux Falls
Server was great! Food was horrible, overcooked lobster, soggy fried shrimp. Biscuits, salad and baked potatoes were good. Food did NOT look like picture in menu. We used to eat here frequently and always used to be delicious, so not sure what happened? Wine glasses were dirty/lipstick marks also as well as tables. Didn’t see any “extra” measures being taken with the Coronavirus as far as tables being clean or spreading out seating.
My wife ordered lobster. She said it tasted nothing like lobster...very dry and rubbery. I ordered King Crab Legs. They were so small. They were not split. The pliers to crack them was ineffective because the legs were so small.
People at the next table , upon arrival, stated that the sun was in their eyes. They asked their waitress (not the same one as ours) if she could lower the shade to block the sun. She stated They shade is broken and won’t go down. It has been that way since I started working here’.
My wife heard our waitress in the next booth ask those patrons how their food was. The gentleman responded ‘Not Good’
Food was very good, service was quick, and the service was excellent, very professional and friendly server(Kara)!
Our server was very attentive. The biscuits and the salad is always fresh and good. The fish and shrimp were cooked as expected. Always a good meal!

The server was excellent. The negative of the visit was the male hostess (believed to be the manager). Before going to Red Lobster, I made a priority seating reservation through OpenTable. Once arriving, I told him (the hostess/manager) that I had a preferred seating reservation for 2 through the app. His reaction was to spit off, “We don’t have that.” He basically laughed in my face as though I was making this up. I had the app and confirmation pulled up on my phone to prove it. One of the female hostesses next to him touched a few things on their screen and sure enough, there was my confirmation. He said it would then be a 30-45 minute wait, so the two of us stood outside until it got to be 45 minutes. I then went in to get an update on our seating. The girl couldn’t find my name on the waiting list, so I believe they didn’t put me on it. The male hostess / manager heard me talking to her so he chimes in, “it’ll be ready in 10 minute.” The way he said it and his facial expressions confirmed that they messed up and didn’t put me in the queue. Luckily we got in 7 minutes later, so they delivered there. When the server was taking us from the hostess stand to our table, he made a gesture to her that she nor my party understood, so he made us feel uncomfortable and as though he was meaning something negative towards us.
Very busy location on the weekends. Our wait was an hour even with making the seating request ahead of time with OpenTable.
We arrived 10 minutes before our time and we're told the wait was 45-60 minutes. They told us it made no difference that we had signed up with Open Table. I realize this is only call ahead seating, not a reservation, but it also says it will not be more than 15 past scheduled time. Doubtful I will use this again.
Food and service are excellent. The environment is getting a little "tired" but it is always busy when we have been there. The biscuits are always a treat. We are shrimp fans and have enjoyed salmon, shrimp in many forms, along with a variety of vegetables. Everything was done as expected and tasted great!

We were there on a "date night" occasion. We had made a priority seating reservation and were seated after a short wait. Our server was awesome; she was attentive but not pushy. She was professional, pleasant and really worked to please. The food was good; we had snow crab legs. Our only criticism was that the legs had a lot of water in them. It would help if the chefs could drain the water just a bit or even broil the legs for a very short while to get rid of the excess water. All in all it was a good experience.
Thanks for recognizing Open Table people and getting us to our table is a short period of time. Everything was just fine.
Casual seafood restaurant, the crab legs and lobster are very good. Extensive menu. I like the food, but it does smell like fish and frying oil.
Even tho we used Open Table...we waited 35 minutes for our table...it was worth it though!
We were treated rudely when we arrived. Laughed at us when you said we had call ahead seating Waited an hour and a half. Probably won’t return . Thank you
