Red Lobster - Monrovia
The service was fine . I don’t expect the best at this point. I know a lot of restaurants are trying to fill positions and so on. However I ordered calamari and it was horrible. I commented to the waitress that it seemed as though it was out of a bag in the freezer. Horrible I told her . I could have made that in my air fryer. I didn’t take it out in her . Still tipped her well . We’re all just trying to get back to normal . Overall my experience was less than average
The food is great and the service is also great. The waiter was way too busy to attend all her tables.
Food was excellent as usual. Service was good. Took a long time to get rolls, and onions in salad were strong. The number of fried shrimp in the shrimp lovers feast was fewer than usual.
The food was delicious and the service was very good. There was no waiting to be seated and the food service was attentive, courteous, and pleasant. We will definitely return in the near future.
Me and my family came here to celebrate my son’s baptism. Our server Jarrod was impeccable! He catered to our every need. The food was beyond delicious. Almost all of us splurged on lobster dishes and they were cooked to perfection. We couldn’t have asked for a better celebration dinner for me and my family :)
Seated upon arrival. Server was very attentive. Easy to talk with minimum background noise.

We arrived fifteen minutes before the "arrive by" time and were told the wait would be 50 minutes. There is no point in adding your name to the wait list in advance if the wait is still going to be nearly an hour. The restaurant was severely understaffed, as more than 50% of the tables were empty. Food quality has decreased since our last visit, as has value. Entrees now no longer include salad at no additional cost and prices have increased significantly. There is no reason for us to return to Red Lobster.

Birthday dinner, and we loved the food but our service wasn’t great. My appetizer went to another table, we didn’t get our biscuits until we received our entrees and our server was hardly around to ask for lemons, water, utensils to open crab legs... desserts....
This visit was a mixed bag of good and disappointed. They seemed to be understaffed, service was very slow. Our steaks came out rare, when we had requested medium and medium well. The cheddar biscuits came out doughy - not fully cooked. On the bright side, the Bourbon Winter Smash cocktail was very good and the strawberry mojito was very good (as it always is).
I booked through Opentable and processed a $50 regards card. When we paid , we were told that they do not accept the cards. My question is .. why could I book online and redeem the $50 at time of reservation. But they don’t accept the card? I asked for a manager and she was too busy to come out. She sent a receptionist. Plan to call the Corp office. Not happy at all. Waiter did an outstanding job trying to fix the situation. The manager failed to even talk to me.
This time it was a disappointment. In the past the lobster tails were larger and delicious. My friend whose birthday we were celebrating thought both her lobster tails and mixed vegetables were tasteless. I agreed with her on the lobster tails. My asparagus was good.
The food is a 6 out of 10. We went because we had a gift card to use.

Food was ok. Service was non existent at best. Management wasn’t attentive. Would not recommend this location to anyone I care about.
Subpar experience. Hostess never checked us in properly so I got an email from Opentable letting me know I was a no-show. Waiter was good but didn’t really seem as engaged with us. We normally get asked if we would like a second helping of biscuits but never got asked. Waiter then informed us he had to go on his 30 minute break (evidently he was behind on taking his break based on what other employees were discussing). We were told that another waitress would check in on us. Well she never did. Thank goodness we were able to pay at the table without assistance or I might have been there much longer. Left the restaurant feeling underwhelmed.
Great food at a wonderful price. I often go off peak hours and have great service as well. I leave satisfied.
A little shabbier than I had remembered. They have little pay terminals at your table flashing ads and during your meal now. Not a fine dining experience.

I am sorry to say that, along with many lunch pals over the years, we have become increasingly disappointed in the food at Red Lobster, Monrovia, CA. On this particular occasion, I decided to re-try the fish and chips - as did my friend who was with me. I had not ordered fish and chips during my last few visits, because it always seemed that the batter was not thoroughly cooked through. Unfortunately, even after complaining in the past, it did not get any better - between the crispy outside batter and the cooked fish inside, is a "creamy" substance, which I assume is uncooked batter. I also noted, that although it was a holiday (Easter Sunday) there were plenty of empty tables - both when we arrived and departed. Our service/waitress was terrific - but even upon both of us complaining, no mention was made of compensation for our un-eaten fish. I've talked with others about our experience, and learned they also, have become increasingly disappointed in the FOOD - NOT THE SERVICE - at the Red Lobster.
