Red Lobster - Modesto
Steak was severely undercooked, but everything else was great. At least they brought out a much better cooked steak to make it right. We were told that the cooks were understaffed.

Great food. Great place for lobster and steak. We had a great waiter who was really on top of it.
They’re so unorganized. I used this app but still ended up waiting for over an hour for our name to be called. By then we had already gotten ourselves set up at the bar top. The food was poor at best. Literally the best thing I had was my dinner salad. Even the biscuits didn’t taste right. My boyfriend got sick on our way out. Had to head straight home.
Went for dungeons crab, wasn’t told until after we had drinks and appetizers that they were out. Opted for the lobster bisque and it tasted horrible. It’s never tasted so bad. Very limited beer selection even though their menu states they support local breweries.
Every time I’ve had dinner there have been so disappointed.
very disappointed With OpenTable. There was no reservation has promised at 5 pm. It was only putting our name on the list. We still had to wait over 35 minutes. it's really bait-and-switch....... call it a "reservation", however, it is only "adding name to the existing list". And when you get there wait like everyone else.
The kid at the front desk was kind of a jerk to my handicapped mom. Other than that, our waitress was friendly and the food was decent. It's RL after all.
Our food took over an hour, but out waitress Maritza was awesome!
We had a great time for our anniversary. Wish they had made it a little special for us, but it’s okay, we still had a great time!
My friend and I wanted to try the unlimited soup and salad special, and so we met there for lunch. The waiter was helpful to begin with when it came to answering a few questions about the menu items. However, once our meals arrived he was less attentive. He seemed to simply pass by us several times without asking how we were doing. He refilled the water glasses at the table right next to us, and went to two other table near us but not once did he come to check on us. I was ready for my soup refill and my water glass could have used a topping off.
Finally, a manager walked by with someone’s order and so I asked her if she could send our waiter to us. She was very kind and asked if she could help in any way and I asked for a refill of my soup. While I waited the waiter eventually made it to our table to check if we needed a soup refill - I told him I had already asked for one.
I can understand when a restaurant is super busy and the wait staff is swamped, but in this case it was neither. What got to me was that he was in our immediate vicinity at least four times and didn’t bother to inquire if were in need of anything.
It’s not that he was rude, just absent minded. We felt invisible for a while.
As for the food, the clam chowder was runny and lacked salt, but the potato and bacon soup was okay. Caesar salad was average.
I’ve dined at the Red Lobster many times, but this was the first time I felt disappointed.
The restaurant was packed with people waiting outside and at first they couldn’t find our reservation. We they did we waited 15 minutes beyond our priority seating reservation. Once seated the meal went quite well and at a good pace.

Well to start off, we made reservations through "Open Table" for New Years Eve and when we got to the restaurant we found out that they don't take reservations but for some reason Open Table still can book reservations there. Our name was still in their system but the manager Christine at the Modesto Red Lobster never had seen that done before. Christine was amazing and still honored our reservation and got us seated very quickly. The food and service was great and again the manager Christine was so nice and accommodating especially since the restaurant as you can imagine was packed for New Years Eve. So if you are going to make a reservation through "Open Table" website you better contact Red Lobster before you do it and go or you might have issues when you get there.
