It has been quite some time since I have dined at Red Lobster. I ordered the Surf and Turf dinner with a loaded baked potato. All of the food was delicious. The waitress was pleasant, punctual, and met my every need. My only complaint for the experience was that the cheddar biscuits were a little dry and should have been served with butter.

We went because not many places serve a whole, live lobster. Salads never came out so we asked for them to go. The Togo size compared to what we saw go to other tables was about 1/4 of what we expected. Waitress was super spunky at start then something must have happened because she was in a horrible mood and rarely returned to the table. We didn’t even have shell crackers brought out for our lobsters and had to wait ten minutes for some to be brought to us. All in all, a reminder of why people consider this place a low end chain.

So here’s a tip for OpenTable diners at this location...the staff including the manager apparently have no idea what OpenTable is or how to check you in as I was subsequently marked as a no-show for this visit. I checked in and she said I gotcha, but never asked my name and takes off towards our table and I told her well make sure you mark me present so I get my points and all I got was puzzled look? She left and got the manager and they looked over the reservations THEN she comes back to get my name? Said it would be taken care of and a few hours later I get a notice email from OpenTable for a missed reservation! I was not happy to say the least and when I contacted OpenTable they took care of it very promptly and restored the points and took away the no show. Thank you OT! As for the dining experience, service was good, my fish and chips were mediocre at best. Much better OpenTable choices in the area!
