Waited 10 minutes past our reservations to get seated. Waited for 15 minutes for server until we finally gave up waiting and left.
SERVICE WAS GOOD, ATTENTIVE AND PLEASANT.
FOOD: COLESLAW NO TASTE, BRUSSELS SPROUTS WERE GREASY, OVER FRIED
OTHERWISE GOOD. SHRIMPS WERE DELICIOUS ETC.
Did not have two different wines that I drink so I was bummed out with that, but food was good
The fish fry was excellent and priced well. The only complaint is what they charged for a glass of wine.
Server Jen was EXCELLENT.👍
It was early on a Saturday night - it was way to hot in our booth. The food was over fried and over processed, the waiter was young and had to read the menu to understand what came with our meals. When we ordered wine (6pm ish) the waiter brought out our wine in Stella beer mugs. He apologized and said he had never seen wine served in beer glasses, but they were out of clean wine glasses?! When my husband and I got into our vehicle - we both said we would not go there again. Sorry.
We were seated in the very rear of the restaurant which provided more buffer from the general noise until the hour progressed and the restaurant filled. Our waiter was spectacular. He was very up beat and made helpful suggestions and approved of what was ordered. He brought us water and hot biscuits right away while we narrowed our menu choices. He was well versed about the specials and answered all our questions. We ordered a nightly special of fish and chips. The fish portion was smaller but it was cooked correctly and the coleslaw was a larger size. We ordered Walt's Shrimp, baked potato and Caesar. The salad was not drowned in dressing which I appreciated. The potato was hot and fluffy. The shrimp was hot, tender and delicious. Part of a third plate included a steak. It was flavorful but included some chewy ends. The shrimp was cooked to order. We had a couple happy hour drinks which were very reasonably priced. Our waiter offered desserts and gave us time to decide while we boxed up our extra food. I felt the dinner was very good and the price was appropriate. The only lacking moments were refills of coffee and soda were largely delayed.
I checked in at the hostess stand upon arrival. Since they do not take reservations, I was on the wait list. After 20 minutes of waiting, I had to check with the hostess to see how much longer I should expect to wait. He had trouble finding my name on the list, as if I were "deleted", but said he could sit me right away. I got the impression that this could have happened about 15 minutes earlier.
The prices are getting higher while the portions are getting much smaller. I ordered the ultimate feast and the crab legs on the plate were the smallest cluster of crab legs I've ever seen in a restaurant. The food tastes decent, but it is not fantastic. Only came because I had a gift card.
Our server, however, was fantastic!! Her name was LeeAnn or LisaAnn. She was friendly and funny and was prompt with our drinks and food.
