Red Lobster - Madison - East Towne Blvd.
I know menus are offering less due to COVID but you should at least offer tossed salads and a non-fish soup. Otherwise, it was great.
Everything was good, but not any better then other places you can get lobster or shrimp at.
Since they don’t take reservations call and use priority seating when you call ahead which seems to work well.
The server was very good at getting the food out to you but seemed hurried at times. Short on help maybe?
Placed a reservation and arrived a bit early. The young man working the desk greeted us checked us in and said he would get us in a quick as possible. There were a few people waiting ahead of us. They were seated as I was expecting. Then a few groups walked in and were ushered to their tables. 15+ min pass and the young man looks at us and asks me my name again and realizes he never fully checked us in. He apologizes and start to laugh awkwardly. Repeatedly. We sat for a few long min waiting with the hosts nervous laughter. He finally awkwardly offers to take us back to our table. He seats us and offers us a drink. I would think a comp drink or something, anything
The lighting in the restaurant needs to be updated. My son and I sat in a booth pretty much under a spotlight, where is the table next to us was almost in complete darkness. The food was fine, the service was excellent.
Typical Red Lobster experience. Service overall was good, though there was a 15-minute wait on a Tuesday night at 6:30pm for a single diner even after I got on the call ahead seating list (I didn't want to sit at the bar). Aside from that, the server was attentive and came around just enough to make sure I didn't have any unmet needs.
Most of the food was good - the lobster mac and cheese was good. Shrimp scampi was good. Walt's shrimp was really good. Unfortunately, the scallops were a bit dry and didn't have much flavor, so I ended up using the extra scampi sauce for them.
I don't expect high-end seafood when I go to Red Lobster, so the expectations weren't out of this world. It basically was about what I expected.
The all you can eat shrimp were good, but there were only two gluten-free options. Caesar salad was good but small in size and the second serving of shrimp was pretty small. Had to have a third serving. Rice only came with the first serving. Dessert price was ridiculous, so we passed on that. Was a nice change from our normal list of Friday date night restaurants but probably not worth the drive considering options closer to us.
I would not recommend due to the chaotic management. We made a booking but still had to wait 1.5 hours. There were tons of free tables, so no reason to let customers wait, other than bad management. Staff seemed unhappy with their jobs generally too. Our service lead was fine in attitude, but plate was dirty.
My son and I love going here and we had a great time this visit! Great food and the wait wasn’t that bad:) we will definitely be back
Using the open table app was completely worthless on saving time. We still waited almost 2 hours for a table.
Also, when I checked out I did tip but when the receipt came through it charged me another $10 of a tip.
I was not impressed with the service at all
We came to use a gift certificate and it worked out great. We ate lobster for the first time in 30 years!
Not our usual place- but food was good. Service excellent. Slight problem with one of the entrees that was fixed immediately and we even had money taken off of the bill for the inconvenience that we experienced. Overall very happy
Took my wife and daughter to dinner, really looking forward to red lobster, made reservations through open table and got right in. The hostess seated us at corner booth in the bar room, it was great except for the cool draft blowing on us from someplace, our waiter did a great job very friendly and quick, drinks were very weak I question if there was any rum in my cola. The food came out quickly and was very tasty but you need to eat quickly with a cool breeze blowing it gets cold fast.
