Red Lobster - Jacksonville - Baymeadows Road
Not sure why they use OpenTable. When we showed up right on time they made us wait 5 minutes for a table when there was no else waiting and most of the restaurant was empty. The waiter warmed up after a few minutes and the food was good.
It was nice that staff and management came by often and check on us. Everything else was average.
Restaurant was not very busy but service was slow. Biscuits were the highlight! Hot, buttery with tasty seasoning. Flounder was just warm and mushy, not very hot. It was obviously sitting in the kitchen. It was so bad I questioned it was even flounder. Chowder was hot but has a metallic taste.
Disappointed with this visit.
Food was delicious and pretty quiet. Waiter was friendly and attentive.
We were in the mood for Snow Crab Legs - Red Lobster usually never disappoints. We all ended up ordering the Ultimate Feast. Snow Crab Legs were sweet & perfectly steamed. Coconut Shrimp was great. Satisfying meal all around!
Good broiled flounder. Love the biscuits!
We had a couple of issues w/our visit to this Red Lobster - I had done an online "call ahead seating" thru Open Table, as they did not accept reservations - when we arrived @ the Restaurant, after a bit of a wait, the Hostess did not seem to know what I was talking about, but showed us to a table in the bar area of the restaurant, where a couple of our friends were already seated. Our server was really good, & thanked us endlessly, but our bills/checks were a bit mixed up, even tho we had told him when we ordered that we were paying by "couples" - there were 6 of us - 3 couples. After quite some time & still w/the bills/checks still being messed up after numerous times of the server going back & forth, finally another server came to our table to help out w/the situation. I believe that our server had quite a few other tables in a large area, other than just the bar area. He was very attentive w/bringing us extra drinks also & any "endless" shrimp dishes that were requested.
