Red Lobster - Jackson - Shirley Dr.
Red lobster didn’t plan for their “reservations” and everyone who had “reservations” had to wait 1.5+ hours to be seated AFTER their reservation time. We didn’t get seated until just after 8 and our reservations were for 7. We were told by the manager that red lobster doesn’t technically take reservations and this feature on the app was technically like a call ahead system. With this being said, the hostess still asked everyone who was standing in line waiting for a table if they “had reservations”. Extremely dissatisfied. At first we were told a half hour wait after our reservation and when that half hour came and went- we were told ANOTHER half hour.
We showed up with a reservation and was told we would be moved to the top of the list because of it and then watched about 10 other tables get seated in front of us so I’m not sure what the point in doing a reservation is so. Other then that everything g else was ok.
We booked our table for 4 through Open Table. We arrived on time (10 minutes early) and proceeded to wait 40 minutes to be seated. In my opinion, if you’re going to be taking reservations, you should have a table ready for that party. I don’t mind waiting if I’m a walk-in. However, when I make a reservation in advance, I would expect to be seated promptly. Apparently, this particular location uses open table as a “waiting list” and not a “reservation”.
I ordered the filet and it was VERY tough. As a past steak chef i find this un beliveable.
Great dining experience. Waitstaff was wonderful and right on the ball with everything. It was somewhat dark, so it was hard to read the menu's. Might need to add some lighting and it was on the cool side.
