The vitality of Vietnamese cuisine revolves around fresh produce. We are dedicated to retaining and complementing the flavour and freshness of the produce we use.

We have embarked on a journey to promote ethical eating by using the freshest in local sustainable and organic produce. It is our dream to leave as light an environmental footprint as possible.

Our family’s secret recipes, skills and techniques have been passed down to us. We have learned that above all, the sourcing of good produce, simplicity in presentation and preparation with the slowness of good omen should always be the core of our approach.

Set within a designer space reminiscent of French Colonial Vietnam, Red Lantern on Riley offers all the favourites of the original Red Lantern, with a greater focus on shared dishes. Mixed with the nostalgia of Indochine and the personal quirkiness of the Nguyen family, Red Lantern on Riley is an experience to share with your friends and family.

Food portion is very great for this kind of restaurant. We didn't walk out hungry. Service is absolutely amazing.

The service was fast and efficient and quite friendly. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful when deciding what to order. The food and drinks were of an exceptional quality and taste. Wheelchair access into the restaurant is via a very steep portable ramp only, however staff are willing to assist. Restaurant atmosphere was too dark and "broody" for my liking. I would have rather had much more light! Overall it was a great experience, other than several loud groups of diners that surrounded me and spoiled my evening with their rowdy laughter and highly unnecessary disturbance of other diners!

I know I’m going to have a great time right from the moment I arrived. I dined with a work colleague (on my recommendation) and the experience and food did not disappoint. The attention to detail and service level is exceptional and the food is absolutley divine. Thank you for making me feel like I was valued and welcomed in your lovely restaurant.

Well it could’ve been exceptionally special but sadly it wasn’t. All I can say is luckily the food was nice but not worth the dollar u pay for it..
