Nestled on the waterfront in Irvington, New York, Red Hat on the River is an American modern bistro serving satisfied diners since 2003. There's hardly a seat in the house that does not offer a spectacular view of the Hudson river. Banquettes and a pewter bar accent the space while the walls of this 100-year old renovated factory building are adorned with WPA-era art evoking a feeling of a turn of the century Parisian bistro. Evolving from a humble bistro on main street to a bustling restaurant on the river with a rooftop bar, Red Hat's commitment to providing the very best experience for their guests has always remained the same. Went on a Wednesday night for the Mussels Fritte special. The server was so lovely & attentive & the food was delicious. If you are a Mussels lover, definitely go on a Wednesday night, it’s a great deal!!!

It actually felt like a bar, not a restaurant. So loud. You can not conversate without raising your voice. For the $200 I spent on dinner could of saved , and made a better dinner

So nice to go on a quiet Thursday afternoon and take advantage of their special chicken parmigiana. The hamburger was as juicy as always.

Great food and service. Restaurant is beautiful and views of the river are probably great in daylight. In the dark it was a little hard to find but well worth the effort.
