Normally I enjoy Red Hat, but tonight’s dinner was completely disappointing. The short rib bolognese contained barely any short rib and a lot of broccoli rabe. For a $32 entree, very disappointing and would not recommend.

Everything was amazing the staff is awesome. My wife and I just got married and I put that in the notes on open table and when they greeted us they said congrats on the marriage and continually did all night and also greeted us a complimentary glass of champagne. Love this place

First of all , I arrived to see the breathtaking lighted Tappan Zee Bridge in one direction and the skyline of Manhattan down the Hudson River. I ordered a glass of wine and sat outside to enjoy this view on a crisp November night. The dinner was delicious. I shared each dish with my friend and it was plenty. Yummy Crab cake appetizer, seared scallops served with amazing potato puree and lentils and a side of Broccoli Rabe. For dessert, we shared a warm lemon ricotta cake that was as light as could be with raspberry sauce and whipped cream on the side. Wow! What a delicious meal. I can't wait to return and do it all over again!

I took my girlfriend to Red Hat for her Birthday. We had a wonderful evening. We've dined there previously, on several occasions. The food is consistently very good. The location can't be beat, being that it's right on the Hudson River. Always an enjoyable experience.

I have not gone to the Red Hat often enough. Each time I go I am reminded of what a find it is. Romantic, yet was perfect when I brought my mother and my sister. The food is never lacking and the service always has me feel I had a complete experience! One can’t go wrong.

Beautiful location and interior decor perfect at sunset with its views. Food in line with other higher end restaurants. However, kitchen makes substitutions to the dishes without telling you so the meal you get isn’t what you ordered and no one says anything unless you call it out. It’s like they do ut hoping you won’t notice versus giving you opportunity to choose something else if the dish you originally chose has different ingredients. Nobody likes feeling like they are trying to put one over on you.

Beautiful location, went for lunch during Hudson Valley restaurant week, it was on the pricier side ($150 for two, one drink each). Service was excellent, food was very good, and we didn't get rushed out.

Overall a positive experience. Location is a big positive but for a higher-end restaurant, I have some expectations. A $20+ martini should ALWAYS come in the appropriate glassware. Not an undersized glass you'd expect to see a buffet-style catered event. I also don't want to see my server' tattoos. I say this as a man with a sleeve and I do enjoy them but they have no place in this setting. IMO anyway. Kudos to the chef as the food was very good. from appetizer to main course all selections were cooked appropriately and flavorful. Small complaints but I feel valid.

The his is where I met my BFF and sit at the bar. A great cocktail and light supper. It’s a wonderful comfortable haunt for us. The good is great. The service is like having friends who invite you to their party.

It is Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, and my friend took me to Red Hat for lunch. We were greeted by a lovely hostess, Michelle, and Diego, our server was very kind and patient with us. I ordered the Moules Frites, one of my favorite dishes, and it was one of the best I have ever had! My friend thoroughly enjoyed her Steak Frites. The portions were generous, and the food delicious. We both had the Lemon Ricotta cake for dessert, something I had never had, and it was an amazingly light and airy cake that was the perfect finish to an absolutely wonderful lunch!

Excellent food. Beautiful location with views of the river. Service was poor. Invisible waiter. Had to ask twice to get bread. Never came by to see if we wanted a second drink. Waited a very long time for our food. The table of 6 next to us was served before us even though we (2 people ) ordered before them. Noise level was fine for us but louder than you would expect. I think there was a private party in the upstairs open balcony room which may have made the restaurant noisier.

Red Hat is always a great experience. The restaurant is beautiful and cozy. The staff is first class. And the food is delicious. The green salad had a delicious vinegrette dressing. I had a hanger steak cooked perfectly medium rare with crispy, salty, yummy fries. The profiteroles did not disappoint. Our waiter was sweet and attentive. Delicious evening.

Had a reservation for 7:15 and waited 1/2 hour for our table. Service was slow and kitchen was backed up. Food was average. Very noisy. Overpriced for the overall experience.
