Nestled on the waterfront in Irvington, New York, Red Hat on the River is an American modern bistro serving satisfied diners since 2003. Banquettes and a pewter bar accent the space while the walls of this 100-year old renovated factory building are adorned with WPA-era art evoking a feeling of a turn of the century Parisian bistro. Evolving from a humble bistro on main street to a bustling restaurant on the river with a rooftop bar, Red Hat's commitment to providing the very best experience for their guests has always remained the same. Very disappointing. Bottle of white wine was warm. Bartender changed a keg and sprayed beer all over my wife and I and did not even notice or care. Just a poor dining experience. Food not terrible but not good either.

As always, a classic spot on the Hudson River. It was a rainy day and just felt so good to meet a girlfriend for a late lunch by those high lovely windows watching boats go by. We enjoyed Mint tea, Salmon Nicoise, a quinoa burger and fries. Service is always the best!!
