Red Elephant Siam is an authentic Thai restaurant located in the charming village of East Dean, East Sussex, perfectly placed between Eastbourne and Seaford along the scenic A259. Surrounded by the stunning South Downs National Park and close to popular landmarks like Beachy Head, Birling Gap, Belle Tout Lighthouse, and Seven Sisters, it's an ideal spot to unwind with Thai food after exploring the coast.     The menu online is different to the menu at the restaurant (needs updating). I was disappointed as I had been looking forward to the mains that I saw online but they told me in the restaurant that they don't do it anymore. My beef green curry was not as hot as it should be, lacking in chilli and the beef was quite tough. Looks like the chef is serving for the western palate then authentic Thai food. Thai terre has changed owners by the looks of it,unfortunately I won't be going back.

    Authentic Thai food, lovely staff, quiet family type restaurant overlooking the green in the historic village of East Dean. It's my local Thai restaurant and each time I eat here I'm transported back to the wonderful times I've spent in Thailand. If you're looking for great food, attentive staff and a lovely setting, look no further.

    Not as good as previous visits. Food was completely different and seemed reheated and dry. Is Sunday the normal chefs day off?
