Excellent service & food as always, thank you for always being on top of the food & drink orders, fast service, friendly staff... It’s the perfect spot to come to for lunch when you only have an hour for lunch at work... 😊 Looking forward to next time...

We had a big group & the service was on point & perfect timing.. very pleased..
The chicken was very tasty and a great value. And this Mississippi boy really enjoyed the skillet pecan pie.
Love the restaurant but absolutely hate the high tables that are featured there. Given the choice, why would anyone choose a high table? We made reservations and could be seated promptly if we’d use a high table. But we refused and had to wait 15 minutes or so until a regular table was available.
Was disappointed- hard to carry on a conversation.
Very enjoyable evening. Eric was attentive and the food was delicious.
Service was a bit slow but the place was busy. Food was ok
Excellent fast service, friendly staff & the food tasted great !!
Nice atmosphere, good food
I love that we can book a reservation. Red Door is always our first pick! So good!!
54 years of marriage
The enchilaldas are excellent. Gave this 4 stars because i thought the food was not served as hot as it should have been. The beans and rice were room temperature and the enchiladas were warm, not hot. Service was above average. Had to ask twice for ice. I would certainly go back and would recommend that anyone interested in a neighborhood place with better than average to excellent food should give it a try.
We’ve been here several times and it’s always good. This time was a Friday night and I ordered the Prime Rib special. It was excellent!! So thick, tender and flavorful. I also enjoyed the wedge salad that came with it. It was so good.
Service and staff is wonderful! Neil the manager is the on top of it and most endearing!
Julie’s Light & Fit was terrific!
We went on a Wednesday evening. It was not too crowded. As soon as we sat down the server came over and got our drink order. We didn’t have to wait long for our food I ended up taking 1/2 home. It was a comfortable place to eat & we enjoyed the painting over the bar. We would definitely go back.
Great food & great service.
Waiter was a little confused and messed up order but it was resolved quickly. Great meal Burger night is always good.
We love Red Door! This specific experience we didn’t have the best waiter but the food was delicious and the manager took care of everything!
There was a table very near us that had two men talking very loudly for much of the time we were there. The manager or someone from the restaurant came to talk to them for awhile, but they only seemed to get louder.
Food was good but a bit pricey. Service was marginal but it was obvious that multiple people were watching to make sure we weren’t forgotten. The ambiance was OK but the seats needed to be recovered. I expected higher quality after seeing other reviews but maybe they are going for that well worn look. Overall I ‘LL go back but it doesn’t rate in my top five restaurants in KC.
I would have rated a 4 or higher if the hostess taking us to our table didn't attempt to give us "attitude" or a lecture on how we should have specified in our reservation the type of table we needed. She attempted to take us to a high-top table and wasn't observant that we had our 87 yr old mother with us who probably didn't have the mobility to sit at a high-top table. We told her this wouldn't work for us and then came the lecture. She changed her tone once she saw my wife's facial expression. Fortunately the hostess taking names at the door realized our situation and had another table for us. Regardless, it appears no one read my reservation since it did state a standard table.
We had not been to Red Door Grill for quite some time and were looking forward to it. The best part of the evening was our server - he was very attentive yet not overbearing and he interacted with us very well. Unfortunately, while plentiful, the food was not as good as we had hoped. We will return but will probably stick to the tried and true favorites of burgers and fried chicken.
Chicken sandwich was okay. Chorizo mac was pretty good. Fried pickles were great. Overall inexpensive.
We are always very well taken care of!
If it weren’t for the constant flies buzzing around our food indoors I would have rated everything 5 stars
Always a great time at Red Door. The Old School flatbreads are very good.
Always a great time at Red Door. We sat on the patio. Very fun. Great flat breads.
Larger groups will be more comfortable at the "communal tables" in the noisier bar area. Tables in the quieter perimeter level are too small to accommodate more than 5 adults comfortably.
Took some friends from out of town and they loved it
Monday burger night but pricing is bit mis-leading as only basic burger- no cheese etc or fries at sale price. Everything is up charge
Quiet and breezy evening on their beautiful patio!
Great calamari, and speciality drinks. The waitress was so good.
My husband and son had the salmon entree and it was small with a small dollup of mashed potatoes. It was like they were trying to be a fancy restaurant and it would be better to have good food. The server was great and our other entrees were fine.
Very edgy server. Realized it was holiday weekend but really??
Food chewy , not tender. Steak and chicken
Good salad and veggies. Not very organized
Food was excellent...best chicken and waffles I’ve had.
Great as always
Overall, we really enjoyed our first visit and were so glad we chose to try Red Door today for our Father’s Day brunch.
Service was friendly, accurate, responsive. Our food was pretty (at least over 30+ min) slow coming out to the table. FYI we had only a party of 5 including three basic breakfast type orders, and one salad. We weren’t in any rush and were enjoying conversation but it would have excessive if a more time-sensitive visit.
Food all tasted great. Bacon served with breakfast orders was insanely delicious. Breakfast potatoes nicely seasoned. Caesar salad tasted great with flavorful chicken, maybe just a tad heavy on dressing. The one steak ordered at the table unfortunately came out more medium-well than medium-rare as ordered, but the person who ordered was hungry and went with it, vs waiting out a redo.
We will give this place another shot for sure based on the warm service and the food we tried. Hoping the hiccups we encountered were probably with it being busy for Father’s Day.
Ate there last on a busy Saturday night. Had the calamari appetizer, which is outstanding. Big, meaty chunks of tender squid, very lightly breaded, with just right cocktail sauce. Then had the grilled prime rib, which is the weekend special. Comes with a very tasty iceberg wedge salad and garlic mashed potatoes, which were perfect as well. The prime rib was a little disappointing to me, because I did not know what to expect. I ordered the meat "medium rare", which usually means very pink in prime rib. This cut had been wood grilled after baking (as advertised), turning it into a thin, boneless ribeye steak that was close to well done. Tasted fine, just not like medium rare prime rib. Service was great. I'll for sure be back, just not to have the prime rib.
Great food and hopping place. A little too loud to have conversation sometimes.
