Red Door Woodfired Grill - Leawood
We love Red Door as a family!
Everything is great!
Everything was good except the change to the calamari. That was our favorite dish, but now the breading is a little different, and you got rid of the Korean sauce. The Korean sauce was outstanding I used it for almost everything. Besides the calamari everything was good.
Went for burger Monday and ehhh...haven’t been for a while. Service was spotty. I think maybe Allie had too many tables. Order came out wrong, had to ask for condiments several times before receiving, and just a cattle rushed experience. Hopefully this was just a hiccup for the night. Will try again, just not on Burger Monday.
$5 burger Monday is fantastic. Great deal and delicious food. This place is usually pretty busy for lunch. It was a business meeting so we made a reservation and they got us seated right away when we arrived. Their full menu is delicious as well, with moderate pricing.
Dinner was very good. Plenty of choices on menu. Service good as always. Good value.
The server, who appeared to be new, was having trouble with the silly handheld device (pen & paper would have been better), but his only mistake was bringing my mother-in-law sweet potato fries when she asked for regular fries. (I ordered & received sweet potato fries.)
The check was a disaster, primarily because they charged my mother-in-law's meal on BOTH her separate check AND ours; then they took the wrong one off of ours.
The food was very good; I would recommend that you provide a towelette with the Honey Chicken sandwich.
Really surprised the happy hour was cut off at 6:00pm. It was a real plus and made planning less of a rush. Please reconsider reinstating this great difference with other neighborhood hot spots.
The service is always good but the food is hit or miss. My pastrami sandwich was tasteless and the bread it was served on was soggy. Noise level isn’t really good for conversations.
Burger Animal Style was sloppy, messy and utterly delicious!
The food is consistently good. Service was a little slow. The noise level is almost too much. It is hard to speak to another person.
Great as always. Even on a busy Mother’s Day they handled the crowd quickly. Just another sign of how well ran the Red Door is and how they always serve consistently good food.
We went on Mothers day and place was busy as would be expected. I had the prime rib which had great flavor but was tough, Appetizers were great, services was good for being very busy even late in the afternoon. We'd try it again for sure.
Drinks were $2-3 too expensive and the entrees came out too soon.
Simmy was an excellent server. She always had a smile and was very attentive.
Going to the other one tomorrow I hope!
Mother’s Day lunch
Had a reservation at 7:45 and never got sat. 3 groups that walked In without reservations and similar size got sat before us. Clearly it was due to the fact we had children with us. Disappointing, but manager tried to make it right with a gift card, which I will never use. Before this I ate here a few times a week for lunch and never had a problem. Guessing the suit makes a difference.
Great happy hour specials but miss callamarre. Comfort food at it's best.
Food is good, not great.
Waitress gave us little attention...maybe because we were seated at the very last booth before the restrooms?!
No table settings...and after asking multiple times...finally!
And, she admitted forgetting my husband's beer so he wasn't able to have that one drink with friends before his surgery today!!!:-(((
The meal came after we waited quite a bit and the waitress' attitude was less than apologetic...more sullen than anything! She excused herself with "I have 3 tables!!" Our daughter was a waitress in high school and she handled way more because people always requested to sit in her section!!!
And...no Impossible Burger on the table?!! How did you run out and tonite (the next day!!!) Houlihan's served me an AWESOME Impossible Burger!!!!
Great neighborhood feel and good menu variety. Greta happy hour specials.
We had a great meal and great service. The new shrimp pasta dish is a welcome and delicious addition to the menu. Julie's Chicken is about the best chicken entree around. Thank you Red Door!
Needed to wait 20 minutes despite Open Table reservation. Food was ok. Felt like most large chain restaurants. Nothing special and surprised by the rating level.
The flatbread pizzas are so good! It was a nice relaxing lunch and our server was very pleasant.
I went for the jalapeño fried chicken and was underwhelmed. The service was good and the food was but not what it is hyped up to be. Good price for the amount of food though.
Great neighborhood feel with one to earth menu. One of the best happy hours around.
We ate at the bar, like we love to do. The food was great, like always, but the 2 bartenders were very unfriendly and not attentive until it came time for us to pay. We love Red Door and eat there often, but if we see those 2 two tending bar we will go elsewhere.
The main issue was the salmon salad made me sick. The lettuce was old and brown. I moved as much away as possible but eat some I am sure. Barely made it home but montezuma’s revenge hit! I did point the lettuce out to the server.
Great place to eat food was delicious
Great service! Our food was amazing. We will be back!
The overall experience was great. Our server was attentive and pleasant. This is our second meal here. We will be back again.
This was a great experience. From food to sever
We we’re seated right away in the bar area at our reservation time of 11:30 am Sunday. Was not crowded at this time, but it took 5-7 mins before server came to our table to ask if we wanted to order drinks drinks. So much time had passed that we were ready to place our meal order as well as asking for water and draft beers. Water took 5 mins to be provided and our beer took another 5 minutes and just a couple of minutes after getting our beers, our meals were delivered. Fish and chips was extremely oily and tasted like old French fry oil so we sent that back. Nachos were tasty. Would’ve liked to have server take drink order within 2 minutes of being seated and then bring the water right away and beer sooner too given how close we were to the bartender.
Very disappointed with the fish and chips being so oily we couldn’t have want we wanted. Maybe that’s just how it’s served here and what the patrons here prefer.
Been to Red Door many times, it’s one of our go to restaurants. On our last visit, we had poor service and I posted what went wrong. Very pleased to say that I got an email from the manager who apologized, reinforced that service is key and made things right. We’ll definitely be going back!
Disappointed with fried chicken Breast. It was tasty as usual but extremely small. Have found this the last 2 times been at this location and gotten the breast wing dinner. For that price is expensive for portion size. You used to get 2 sides and price was lower. Now 1 side small pieces and more money.
Super nice to be able to make a reservation. The food was awesome. Wonderful service.
Great food in a neighborhood setting. Happy hour one of the best.
Enjoyed our dinner and served was great.
Awesome cheeseburger, as usual. Red Door never disappoints.
Unfortunately they were out of the impossible burger, which was my primary reason for going there. They also failed to confirm my reservation in the open table app when I arrived at the restaurant. Service was very good and the food was otherwise good.
